Basic Inorganic Production E-learning Study Materials Processing
Valenčík, Jan ; Pilátová, Ivana (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with e-learning (its definition, forms, usage, positive and negative aspects), LMS and LCMS systems, and the basic elements needed for the formation of the interactive teaching aids that could help improve the e-learning quality. The output is a teaching software including visual animations used for learning the basic inorganic produces in the chemical industry (acids, metals, gases productions, etc.) designed especially for the students of the 1st class at the Faculty of Chemistry by Brno University of Technology, and for the general public as well. The visualisations have been created by means of the PC programme Adobe Flash, which offers a wide variety of interesting options to make up numerous animations that are not only illustrative but also visually attractive. The application comprises 20 production animations of basic inorganic compounds which are mostly exploited in the chemical industry, in school labs and during inorganic chemistry lessons. The emphasis is placed on a vivid presentation of the acid production process, and on the interactivity and visual aspect.
Hints for Inorganic Chemistry Tests E-learning Study Materials Processing
Straka, Radek ; Kábelová, Božena (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
E-learning is an educational way which uses multimedia and communication technologies for making, transferring and offering materials for studying. The aim of this bachelor thesis is making educational materials using the form of hints for inorganic chemistry tests. The first year students come into the contact with these tests compulsorily in the Inorganic chemistry laboratories II on Faculty of chemistry of Brno University of technology. The thesis contains six parts. First five parts are set to general view of e-learning and last sixth part obtains chosen hints for inorganic chemistry tests. Next hints are appended on CD for its considerable size (cca 600 hints).
Chemical Calculations E-learning Study Materials Processing
Košová, Hana ; Stehlík, Marek (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
The theme of this bachelor thesis is e-learning, instruments needed for creation of create e-learning applications, creation as such, work with basic elements forming e-learning applications and evaluation of quality of e-learning projects by Faculty of Chemistry on Brno University of Technology and Masaryk University Brno. The practical output of this thesis is a tutorial for chemical calculations focused on concentration, thinning and blending of solutions, dissolvability and crystallization. It is intended for the 1st year Faculty of Chemistry students. The tutorial was created using Adobe Flash whereas many of the instruments of this program were used. Each chapter consists of two parts. In the first part, brief theoretical information is displayed, with focus on the visual aspect. This is achieved by using visual animations, for example dissolution of crystals. The second part deals with exemplary calculations on a given subject.
The use of internet in economic education
Pitkevich, Matvey ; Krpálková Krelová, Katarína (advisor) ; Langer, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis is focused on the use of the Internet in economic education. The theoretical part includes the information about the Internet, distance learning and classification of modern types of e-learning. The first part also explains the benefits of e-learning and their possible use in education. The practical part is focused on the creation of a webinar. Also, this part includes the analysis of the web page ekospace and its possible implementation in economic education.
Suggestion and creation of video tutorials for facilitation of education of informatics
Haberzettl, David ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pražský, Petr (referee)
The goal of this thesis is analysis of requirements for creating video tutorials and suggesting methodics for its creation to facilitate the teaching of informatics at the University of economics, Prague. The major purpose introduces the formation of unified methodics for creation video tutorials which fulfill teching requirements on the faculty of information technologies. Thesis is focused to analyse and test available software solutions enabling creation of video tutorials and screencasting. Theoretical part contains introduction to e-learning and sumarization of available software solutions, their advantages and disadvantages and further choice of ideal software solution for established unified methodical work.
Learning Management System in medical facility
Škoda, Jiří ; Potančok, Martin (advisor) ; Vencovský, Filip (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on Learning Management Systems and use of e-learning in a medical facility as a tool for education. The aim of this thesis is the definition of Learning Management Systems and e-learning, mapping needs of a medical facility in education of employees and necessary aspects for choice and implementation of a learning management system in the facility. Practical part of the thesis is focused on analysis of recently implemented LMS Moodle in the Vysočina region and developing a manual for creation and administration of electronic courses. The aims are achieved by using available relevant sources, consulting in respective institutions and using LMS Moodle. My own contribution in this work is the manual for creation and administration of electronic courses and transformation of a mandatory training course at the Jihlava hospital to electronic form using LMS Moodle.
Quality of e-learning in Czech companies
Kozelková, Barbora ; Říhová, Zora (advisor) ; Truhlář, Filip (referee)
This thesis deals with the quality of e-learning from the perspective of employees in Czech companies. The aim of the study was to detect the most common shortcomings of current solutions and see which properties, methods, and practices improve the quality and efficiency. Based on these findings, the author makes recommendations to suppliers and creates e-learning courses that address these shortfalls. In the theoretical part, the concept of e-learning is defined, its forms, types, advantages, disadvantages, standards and development methods, such as ADDIE and Rapid e-learning are desribed. Research in the practical section showed that the quality, which has been calculated as mean of evaluated criteria, is 3.7 points out of 5. Potential improvement was observed especially in organisation-wide training (eg workflows) supplied as ready-made solutions. The author created a course for Microsoft Project 2013 in Articulate Storyline that demonstrates best practices and solutions to the problems revealed in the questionnaire.
Evaluation of e-learning in a banking institution
Vrabcová, Jana ; Němec, Otakar (advisor) ; Recmanová, Elena (referee)
This Master's Thesis deals with the evaluation of e-learning in a banking institution operating in the Czech market. The introduction of e-learning in a banking institution managed to reduce the educational costs. However, the pedagogical effectiveness has not been investigated yet. The aim of this Master's Thesis was to determine whether employees of a banking institution perceive e-learning as an effective method of training and determinate on the basis of their acquired knowledge whether e-learning is an effective method of knowledge transfer. The e-learning effectiveness was investigated using a combination of subjective (questionnaire) and objective (testing) methods of evaluation on 118 employees. The study indicated that employees consider e-learning as an effective learning method and that they acquired a high level of knowledge. However the questionnaire and testing revealed several weaknesses of the current e-learning system, primarily the lack of time for training through e-learning courses and employees cheating during the e-learning course completion. The solution to the mentioned weaknesses could be, shortening, e-learning courses, plus adding a final test (at the end of e-learning courses that currently do not have one), limiting the number of their repetition and ensuring their higher difficulty levels.
Blended Learning
Bauerová, Andrea ; Stříteský, Marek (advisor) ; Kopová, Markéta (referee)
This thesis is focused on a new approach of education called blended learning. The history and developement of Blended Learning is described in the first part. Then the methods and tools of Blended Learning are evaluated and compared to the traditional methods of education. At the final part an efficient developement of the educational programs is emphasized.
Media and its effect on the learning process in a web application
Drtinová, Kateřina ; Vondra, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Sigmund, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis concentrates on the utilization of multimedia in the learning process. For this purpose, information about memory function, media, multimedia transmission and perception and the interaction and gamification theories are synthesised. In the practical part of the thesis, a pair of educational web applications will be analysed, based on the comparison with the common quality of internet courses and specified criteria. Four main areas of interest are established for this assessment, based on the study of cognitive processes, pedagogics, communication theory and the principles of gamification. The aim of this thesis is to provide recommendations for an ongoing development of an eLearning project.
