Priemysel 4.0 a trh práce
Habiňáková, Nikola
This thesis examines the labour market situation in European Union countries in the context of Industry 4.0. A fixed effects panel regression analysis is used to investigate the relationship between a country's technological level and labour market indicators. The impact of technological changes on unemployment is ex-amined at the macroeconomic level. The ratio of triadic patent families to the population is used as a representative of technological change. Variable research and development intensity is used to measure input for technological innovation. Based on the literature review, factors influencing the labour market were identified and included in the model. The results of statistical models suggest a significant positive relationship between a country's technological level in the form of triadic patent families and unemployment. Conversely, the relationship between research and development expenditure as a proxy for input for technological innovation and unemployment was not statistically confirmed.
