Hloušková, Veronika ; Gřivna, Tomáš (advisor) ; Richter, Martin (referee)

The main aim of this master thesis is to evaluate whether the current legislation is sufficient to effectively secure electronic evidence and at the same time protects constitutionally guaranteed fundamental rights of persons without unreasonable interference with these rights. The first chapter deals with evidence in criminal proceedings in general, using a mainly descriptive method, which is essential for understanding the whole master thesis. At the same time, it does not neglect to refer to electronic evidence, especially through examples. The crisis of bodiliness
Dubská, Jana ; Rybák, David (advisor) ; Pelcová, Naděžda (referee)
In today's society, more and more people face an identity crisis stemming from the alienation of one's own essence as a being of the whole (logos). The aim of this work is to find the causes of the mentioned alienation using phenomenological findings, the platform for investigation is represented by the transformation of the communication environment against the background of corporeality, which is perceived as a constitutive element of humanity. The first part outlines the phenomenon of the body and corporeal existence on the basis of Poseidonia's three- dimensional concept of soma-sarx-péxis, where the somatic body establishes the human being in space, the sarcotic in time and the péxistic body relates it to metaphysical movement. The second section then follows the historical development of the relationship to corporeality framed by the development of communication technologies, first approaching the concept of corporeality in pre-modern times and then proceeding chronologically to the present. The paper identifies Christian condemnation, Cartesian subject-object reductionism, Enlightenment rationalism, and industrial massification as key factors behind the displacement of corporeality in favor of digitality. The last chapter deals in more detail with digitization and its impact on the real...

Černý, Martin ; Czesany Dvořáková, Tereza (advisor) ; Bauer, Šimon (referee)
(in English): This thesis deals, in frame of new film history, with the changes in Czech film distribution system connected to cinema digitalisation in the Czech Republic. Generally, the paper focuses on the influence the technological changes have on film distribution and its development in the Czech Republic. Considering the recent emergence of new genres and types of films, the work examines, on the example of documentaries, what effect these changes have on the variety of the Czech digital cinemas programme offer. The case study contained in the thesis explores a process of creating film programme in cinemas of average size Czech cities which do not have to compete with multiplexes. Selected programmers of these cinemas were interviewed in semi-structured interviews in terms of qualitative research, with the aim to determine the decisive factors influencing programming of documentary films in these cinemas. As seen from this thesis, the range of films in the distribution circuit has extended in two ways after the emergence of digitalisation and this development considerably affected the work of cinema programmers. Namely the wider availability of commercially successful films, generating great numbers in box office became a competition for the alternative films (documentaries included). Unlike...

Productivity of Czech state administration with focus on IT technology and costs connected with use of modern technologies
Fuchs, Pavel ; Pleticha, Petr (advisor) ; Janský, Petr (referee)
Czech state government is often criticized because of slow implementation of new information technologies (IT). Furthermore, IT-related government contracts are frequently overpriced and the official analyses say only little about the projects' efficiency. The paper inquiries into relatively homogenous level of local government represented by municipalities of extended competence. These jurisdictions have to guarantee extensive portfolio of services, however they have relative freedom of investment decision making. We used Data Envelopment Analysis and assigned each municipality with efficiency score. We found out that higher investment in IT does not stand for improved efficiency and indicates inefficiencies in public spending. We also described an ambiguous effect of the size of the district and a significant negative effect of amount of clerks.

The topic of the work is an impact of digital self-tracking technologies such as wearable fitness trackers and smartphone self-tracking applications on an individual. I used the methodology of semi-structured interviews, conducted with students engaged in self-tracking and comparative discourse analysis, when data received from the interviews were compared with healthy lifestyle discourse, partly manifested in the Czech internet media portals. The research question of "How self-trackers perceive the impact of the technology of self-tracking on their physical activities and lifestyle, respectively differentiated among themselves in terms of impact and usage of self-tracking technology, and to what extent they perceive it similarly to the way self- tracking is presented in Czech internet media portals?" was answered in the following way: the participants were categorized as 'engaged' and 'sportspeople' users, and their relation to discourse was not complete, although they were using the conceptualization of a healthy lifestyle proposed by media. In addition, the work proposes a theoretical overview of the issue of self-tracking and discusses the possibilities for future research.
