Didaktic Analysis of civis textbooks (Media Education)

The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part I deal with textbooks, their didactic analysis and the ways the textbooks can be used both by teachers as well as by students. My main concern was the problem of Media Education. In empirical part I focused on a didactic analysis of textbooks used for teaching of such educational subjects as Education of a Citizenship, Civics, and Social Science in which I was primarily concerned with the selected components of the didactic analysis.

Physiology of Plants in Elementary School Botany

This thesis on the topic "Physiology of Plants in Elementary School Botany" consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on a didactical analysis of the textbooks currently in use and integration of this topic in the valid curricular documentation. It also includes a research part, in which the possibilities of material visual aids used in science teaching are identified. The practical part makes use of these observations. A interactive CD, which includes worksheets on the main areas of plant physiology, has been created based on these observations. The worksheets are in educational text form, include gap-filling activities, and practical - with appropriate experiments. To these, methodology notes for teacher are supplied. Methodological analysis of religious textbooks

In the theoretical part of the thesis I introduce the current education legislation related to the subject of religious education. Religion is a part of the educational process and has a fixed position in the curriculum. This subject must be taught by a specialist with a pedagogical and theological training who has the double role of an instructor and a person providing value orientation for his/her pupils. The role of the teacher is not making children "swot" the most important themes, but introducing them to the essential principles and ideas of Christianity. The educational process is thus superior to the actual contents, i.e. instructing children in a Christian way is the concrete objective of every catechist. Orienting children towards a moral life is a very difficult challenge. A number of motivational elements and educational tools can facilitate the process of instruction. Arguably, the single most important tool since the introduction of comprehensive educational systems has been the textbook. Textbooks have been the subject of research and this research has by now become an established scholarly discipline.
