Depth-Based User Interface
Kubica, Peter ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Žák, Pavel (advisor)
Conventional user interfaces are not always the most appropriate option of application controlling. The objective of this work is to study the issue of Kinect sensor data processing and to analyze the possibilities of application controlling through depth sensors. And consequently, using obtained knowledge, to design a user interface for working with multimedia content, which uses Kinect sensor for interaction with the user.
Realization of camera module for mobile robot as independent ROS node
Albrecht, Ladislav ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
Stereo vision is one of the most popular elements in the field of mobile robots and significantly contributes to their autonomous behaviour. The aim of the diploma thesis was to design and implement a camera module as a hardware sensor input, which is independent, with the possibility of supplementing the system with other cameras, and to create a depth map from a pair of cameras. The diploma thesis consists of theoretical and practical part, including the conclusion of results. The theoretical part introduces the ROS framework, discusses methods of creating depth maps, and provides an overview of the most popular stereo cameras in robotics. The practical part describes in detail the preparation of the experiment and its implementation. It also describes the camera calibration and the depth map creating. The last chapter contains an evaluation of the experiment.
Object Detection Using Kinect
Řehánek, Martin ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
With the release of the Kinect device new possibilities appeared, allowing a simple use of image depth in image processing. The aim of this thesis is to propose a method for object detection and recognition in a depth map. Well known method Bag of Words and a descriptor based on Spin Image method are used for the object recognition. The Spin Image method is one of several existing approaches to depth map which are described in this thesis. Detection of object in picture is ensured by the sliding window technique. That is improved and speeded up by utilization of the depth information.
Polygonal Mesh Segmentation
Bezděčík, Ladislav ; Polášek, Tomáš (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issues of segmentating 3D models of human jaws. It analyzes currently used methods and proposes, implements and tests possible improvement to these methods from user perspective. The proposal consists of using neural networks for topology recognition on jaw models, and possibly combining this topology with currently used segmentation methods. This thesis also analyzes and implements the possibility of automated expnansion of 3D model datasets converted to depth maps, used for neural network training.
Advanced Rendering in OpenSceneGraph Library
Ondruška, Jiří ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Švub, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis presents OpenSceneGraph library and its use with shaders written in OpenGL Shading Language. First of all it presents the basics of GLSL. Next chapter introduces the basics of OpenSceneGraph library. Following chapters are about different shaders. First is vertex displacement mapping, followed by cartooning and the last one is water surface.
Programmable Shaders in OpenGL
Radil, Přemek ; Havel, Jiří (referee) ; Švub, Miroslav (advisor)
OpenGL is mostly used in video games, computer aided designs, virtual reality, flight simulations or scientific visualisations. This bachelors thesis puts mind to production of shaders written in OpenGL Shading Language and their attachment to OpenGL aplications. Its objective is to describe methods of creating depth of field, glow and soft shadows effects and to provide tutorial about these methods. First chapters informs about OpenGL and associated library OpenGL Utility Toolkit and illustrates some common procedures necessary to achieve hereinbefore mentioned effects. Last chapters dwells directly on shaders creating these effects.
Automatic synchronization of projected and scanned images
Šura, Jakub ; Křivánek, Václav (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with creating a software solution in MATLAB for automatic synchronization of scanned depth map and projected image capable of working with various RGB-D sensors. The tested sensors are two versions of Microsoft Kinect. Research deals with overviewing and classifying various depth map sensing technologies. It describes the evolution and classification of different technologies, compares their advantages and disadvantages, and presents their examples on current market.
Selected Problems in Photogrammetric Systems Analysis
Stěžejní oblastí je zkoumání vlivu chybného zarovnání kamer a chyby v určení souhlasných bodů. Třetím tématem je tvorba hloubkových map. Byly navrženy dva postupy. První přístup spočívá v kombinaci pasivní a aktivní metody druhý přístup vychází z pasivní metody a využívá spojitosti hloubkové mapy. Poslední zvolenou oblastí zájmu je hodnocení kvality 3D videa. Byly provedeny a statisticky vyhodnoceny subjektvní testy 3D vjemu pro různé zobrazovací systémy v závislosti na úhlu pozorování
Depth map by using Kinect
Němec, Pavel ; Kaller, Ondřej (referee) ; Boleček, Libor (advisor)
Nowadays, depth maps are widely used in various branches of human activity (in building industry, medicine, mechanical engineering, robotics, show business etc.). The aim of this thesis is to get acquainted with different methods of their acquisition and with possibilities of their enhancement (e.g. reduction of noise and points of not specified depth). The main subject of this research are depth maps acquired by Kinect device.
3D shape from camera pair
Bastl, Jiří ; Horák, Karel (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create methods for obtaining 3D data from 2D images. This data will be used as an input data for algorithms which will process them into data formats creating 3D perception. In this work problem of rectification when we compare one image according to the other is solved as well as the problem of calculation of the model of a scene scanned with two cameras.
