Changes include the introduction of a funded second-pillar pension scheme and the adjustment of pension schemes under the third pillar. The theoretical part describes the basis of social policy in the areas of pensions, and characterize and compare concepts of pension systems. Following practical part analyzes recent developments in the Czech Republic, the essence of changes to the pension system and the interest of the population to use them. The aim of the study is fulfiled by quantifying impact on public budget. Subsequent analysis shows that changes may help to stabilize it in the next decades, however, a departure from the PAYG system is not required. The introduced second pillar can be problematic in ceratin respects for participants. Additional pension savings in the third pillar is a useful supplement to old age security.

Holečková, Kristýna ; Langhamrová, Jitka (advisor) ; Cséfalvaiová, Kornélia (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on major demographic changes in behaviour among the population of the Czech Republic between 1989 and 2014. Currently, population ageing represents a global problem connected with many causes and consequences - economic, social or political. The thesis concentrates specifically on three areas. One of them is the labour market, which is frequently associated with concerns about labour shortage and labour market discrimination. Further, it engages with the system of social policy, namely nursing services and homes for the elderly and constantly increasing costs of health care. The thesis aims at a detailed discription of areas connected with the changes in the age structure and make a suggestion of possible measures to face the effects of demographic ageing with regard to future development. A substantial part focuses at the development of selected demographic indicators and population projection.

In the second part I used the statistical data obtained mainly from the ČSÚ, I adjusted it to the tables and graphs. I also used the statistical method of Box-Jenkins metodology to predict status of foreigners for the years 2011 -- 2012.
Pension reform in the Czech Republic (connection between family and pension policy)
Zavřelová, Gabriela ; Krebs, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Nohál, Martin (referee)
My diploma thesis will deal with the topic of unusual proposal of pension reform, which is based on the connection of the old-age-benefit and the number of brought children. Through the analysis of demographic development I try to show the dependency of today's pay-as-you-go pension system to number of persons gainfully employed with respect to the number of pensioners. Authors of the Children PAYG concept are noting of connection between family and pension policy and argue that the reason of unfriendly demographic structure and decreasing birth rate is right pension system. According to them this pension system make free riders who are described like people without own children. This fact should be considered in order to the claim to old age pension. In analytic part of this work will be researched individual variants of Children PAYG system. This part will be aimed at its positives and negatives especially. In conclusion of this work I'll propose a possible variant of this pension system which could resolve troubles of financial tenability, is in respect to deserts and at the same time would be equitable for as much people as possible.

Residential market at a time of financial crisis
Žemličková, Helena ; Čermáková, Klára (advisor) ; Jaklín, Jiří (referee)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is the residential market of the Czech Republic and changes of housing construction at a time of financial crisis. Residential market can be affected not only by financial crisis, but also by other factors that are not influenced by economic recession. The work is firstly aimed at the change of value added tax law in 2008 and its possible impact on the number of completed dwellings. Supply and demand could be influenced not only by these changes but by uncertainty about future form of these changes, too. The second part of this work is aimed at possible impact of demographic structure on started housing construction. There are two time series that are correlated -- the number of inhabitants of the Czech Republic between the ages of 25 to 39 and the number of started dwellings. The results show that newly started housing construction is not depended on the number of inhabitants at determined age group in conditions of the Czech Republic. The conclusion of this thesis on terms of chosen assumptions and used statistical data is that the changing number of started dwellings cannot be caused by development in the demographic structure.
