Determination of the state border between Czechoslovakia and Poland

- 1 - Determination of the state border between Czechoslovakia and Poland Abstract This thesis deals with the question of determination of the state border between Czechoslovakia and Poland. The first chapter deals with issues related to the formation of both states and the concept of common borders, which were prepared by leading members of the Czechoslovak political representation during the World War. This chapter also deals with the presentation of the territorial requirements of Czechoslovakia at the Paris Peace Conference and related diplomatic negotiations in the context of this peace conference. The second chapter focuses on the issue of Těšínsko, which may have become the most important aspect of border disputes between the two countries concerned. The individual subchapters discuss in detail the establishment of Czechoslovak and Polish authorities in this area, their mutual negotiations, as well as the subsequent military engagement. However, special attention is given to the issue of following diplomatic negotiations, the planned referendum and, finally, the decision of the Conference of Ambassadors, as a result of which the disputed territory of Těšínsko was divided. Souleimanov Ph.D. Rigorózní práce 4 Resumé: Práce se zabývá otázkou určení právního statusu a rozdělení Kaspického moře v širších geopolitických souvislostech. Problematika je nahlížena z pohledu mezinárodního práva v kontextu mezinárodních vztahů mezi relevantními aktéry, na úrovni lokální, regionální a globální. Teoretická analýza aplikace odlišných právních výkladů je zasazena do celkového kontextu vztahů relevantních regionálních a globálních aktérů s cílem dokázat, jak politika a zájmy jednotlivých států determinují jejich výklad mezinárodního práva. the burnout syndrome

The aim of this thesis is to map the occurrence and magnitude of the burnout syndrome of social workers of Labour Office in Český Krumlov, department of noninsurance social benefits. It shows the most serious stressors and evaluates if the workers are aware of relaxation techniques preventing the burnout syndrome or if the employer is offering any compensations, considering the psychical demands of the occupation. This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical, which is formed by a quantitative research of the issue. The theoretical part is based on available literature and partially on my own knowledge gained in a burnout syndrome course in an education centre, where I have obtained the certificate of completion. Another source is my seven-year long experience in the field. The methodological part contains reasons for choosing the quantitative research strategy. It also includes a description of the realization of the research inquiry. The practical part of the thesis presents the results of findings from five interviews with social workers paying out social benefits. These findings are answering the given hypotheses concerned by perception of delimitation on 1st January 2012 by social workers.

The effect of delimitation of land on the reduction of sediment transport

This Bachelor´s Thesis deals with sediment denuding and with its possible reduction in the agricultural landscape by means of delimitation and other erosion control measures. The introductory part is devoted to general characteristics of the sediment, and indicates the amount of sediment in each element of hydrological network in the Czech Republic and in the world. The following two parts describe causes and consequences of higher concentration of sediment in the water environment. Factors affecting sediment denuding into surface waters and the description of these factors are determined in the following part. The last two parts, which are the most comprehensive, deal with means serving to reduction of sediment denuding in the agricultural landscape in term of erosion protection, and possibilities of delimitation application to limit sediment denuding. The aim of this work is to identify and describe protective measures, especially delimitation measures, which are used to reduce sediment denuding in the agricultural landscape, while pointing out the consequences that are caused by sediment in the water environment, coming mainly from poorly protected farmland.
