Motivation for continuing education and factors affecting participation in continuing education

The aim of this bachelor thesis "Motivation for continuing education and factors affecting participation in continuing education" is to analyze what motivates adults to participate in continuing education and what are main obstacles in adult education. The paper consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with an overview of basic knowledge about the issue with the use of literature, both domestic and foreign authors. The second, practical part contains a description of own empirical survey. The aim of the survey is to identify the main reasons for adults to participate in continuing education and detect the most common barriers, obstacles to such participation. The survey is trying to confirm the conclusions from the theoretical part by the analysis of the select company. Motivation and barriers in further adult education in doctoral degree

The aim of the thesis is to find out, what was the initial motive for the study of the doctoral program and what are the types of motivations and barriers in further education of adults in doctoral studies. The theoretical part is based on the concept of lifelong learning and lifelong learning. It defines the concept of further education of adults, which needs to be defined to anchor the topic in the work. It focuses on doctoral studies, phases during doctoral studies, related strategic documents, legislation and available research surveys, that focus on motivation and barriers. Another important part of the work is to define the motive, motivation, types of motivation in relation to the adult, which is part of further adult education. Barriers are viewed in terms of available research. The practical part is based on a quantitative and descriptive study examining motivations and barriers across the disciplines to pursue a doctoral degree, which was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey. The research survey is aimed at doctoral students, who have already interrupted primary education and are returning to study after at least a one-year break. Interest in adult education

The bachelor's thesis deals with the field of interest adult education and its support in a selected locality in the Town of Velešín. The theoretical part defines the basic terms connected with the topic of interest adult education. A theoretical basis is analysed there and a special discussion to the key terms in the presented area is described. In the practical part the particular regional aspects in interest adult education are shown and a comprehensive view of these issues in a selected locality is presented. In the selected institutions that present the widest offer of interest activities in this field and are involved in the area of interest adult education, the content and methodology of offered activities are analysed and, at the same time, the marketing aspects of offers of other kinds of education are explained. The result of the thesis is a comprehensive evaluation of the present state of activities of interest adult education offered in a selected locality and also the recommendation and suggestion in which way the facilities can present their activities further on.
The issue of further education and its implementation in the conditions of a particular company

This bachelor work deals with the issues of further education. The theoretical part describes the situation of conceptual and systemic further education of employees in the Czech republic. It also deals with the role of the government in supporting the further education, typical features characterising the in-company education and general motive and attitude to further education of adults. The practical part deals with description of the state of further education within a specific company. It is also focused on analysis of problems which follow the process of education.The outcome of this work is recomendation of the realisation to the company where the research was made.
Analysis of supply and demand of further education in the economic fields

In the theoretical entry, the study devotes to introduction to the topic of further education and explanation of basic concepts. It also briefly describes the history and current situacion in further education. Work deals on theoretical-descriptive level with the legislative framework for further education in the Czech Republic. Empirical part of this work is focused on a comparison of supply and demand for further education in economic field. By using survey the preferences of potential participants of accounting courses in Prague was identified. Outputs from this research were compared with the supply of accounting courses in Prague. At the end, the work set out some recommendations and proposals, which could help supply to adapt better to the demand for accounting courses for adults.
Construction of functional adult education system on the basis comparative analysis selected EU countries

Práce se věnuje problematice zabezpečení fungujícího systému dalšího vzdělávání dospělých. Záměrem práce je vymezit hlavní konstrukční prvky tohoto systému. Východiskem pro stanovení jednotlivých systémotvorných prvků se stala komparační analýza systémů vzdělávání dospělých ve vybraných zemích EU. Reprezentativní skupina byla vybrána na základě srovnání stavu vzdělávání dospělých v jednotlivých zemích EU. Mezinárodní komparace poznatků získaných sekundární analýzou zdrojových materiálů, především zahraniční literatury, statistických údajů a výzkumných zpráv odborných institucí, představuje na příkladech konkrétních zemí hlavní části utvářející strukturu systému dalšího vzdělávání. Analytická zjištění jsou následně využita pro zpracování dalších částí práce, které se zabývají detailním rozpracováním jednotlivých hlavních konstrukčních prvků systému dalšího vzdělávání a sestavením možného návrhu systému vzdělávání dospělých v podmínkách ČR.
