Cultural and Historical Specificities of the South Bohemian Region

The thesis, entitled "The Cultural and historical specificities of South Bohemian Region" is to describe and analyze cultural heritage and cultural - historical potential of the selected location. The thesis show placement of cultural - historical potential throughout the region and all information are related to the specific characteristics of individual districts. Work also defines the basic concepts that closely related to this topic. The whole work is focused on determining unique charakter of cultural - historical heritage in South Bohemian region, to define the primary problems in the selected destination and also the possible solutions of the current situation.
Economic Aspects of Development of Gastronomy as Part of Local and Regional Cuisine

The aim of the thesis is to generally describe Czech gastronomy, its orientation, historical development and position in national culture, to specify the position of gastronomy in official documents about the preservation of cultural heritage and define traditional gastronomy as part of local and regional culture in selected localities and regions. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of the impact of traditional gastronomy on current economy - in particular, there are examples of producers of traditional gastronomic products in selected localities and regions of unique cuisine.
Podmínky a příčiny úspěšné konverze brownfields

The topic of this thesis is an adaptation of non-functioning objects, relics of ironworks owned by Vítkovice Machinery Group. Clarified is theoretical ambiguity regarding the forms of industrial heritage conservation as a major cause of late onset of their conversion. Analysed are some contemporary phenomena accompanying the preparation for the conversion in practice. Its delayed but relatively fast process of conversion is examined. Against the background of emerging European trend the change of functions of old buildings is evaluated to meet the cultural needs of modern society. The goal of the thesis is to give a clear and logical picture of problems and situation. The analysis of both of those elements gives assumptions suitable for formulating of conclusions that may be taken as certain warnings and possible recommendations to potential investors.
E-learning in teaching marketing management of cultural heritage

The aim is to analyze the potential application of digital cultural materials in teaching marketing management of cultural heritage applications in the educational environment and the importance of using new technologies in the context of e-learning site studies as a competitive element of specialized academic disciplines Arts management. Through searches of the available materials, information, studies, projects, theses, foreign web databases on the use of digitization of cultural heritage for e-learning and presentation purposes are identified current capabilities and use of these resources in the educational sphere. Analysis of the current possibilities of our universities and performing competitive analysis of academic disciplines dealing with arts management in the Czech Republic outlined the possibility of implementing new technologies in education in the field of Arts Management, University of Economics, Prague. The benefits of work are suggestions for the implementation of digital technologies in higher education teaching marketing management of cultural heritage and simultaneously use their outputs in practice
Vulnerability assesment and preventive measures of cultural heritage against flooding

One of the preconditions for successful planning is to estimate the risk of flood damage with regard to the construction resilience and constituent materials of historical objects. The output of this phase is software application and methodology for classifying the rate risk of specific constructions and materials and a reasonable estimate of risk diversification in different parts of the building. A special attention is paid to prevention and it tends to recommend suitable measures for different situations.

The accounting valuation of cultural heritage, nature of museum collections, objects of cultural value and religious buildings

The aim of this paper is to present the proposed amendments, discuss their current form, apply the validity of the basic accounting principles, adhere to a true and fair view of the accounts and highlight the practical importance of this type of property for the development of the region. Act on Accountancy no. 304/2008 Coll., amending Act no. 563/1991 Coll., regulates the obligations of owners and managers of cultural monuments, museum collections, objects of cultural values and religious buildings. Newly under this Act they are obliged to keep these in the accounts as assets. These adjustments should bring improvements to register this type of property. With that, we of course open up a number of questions. We must not forget that property as cultural monuments, museum collections or objects of cultural value, have not only the financial value, but also historic. The paper is devoted to amending legislation and its impact on the register and conditions valuation of this type of property.
Newly discovered preserved potash-making workshops in the Czech Republic

The article briefly describes the technology of production of potash in the early modern times. The basic typology of production facilities (potash-making workshops), which were built in the village envinment, is introduced as well. The main emphasis is given on the introduction of two newly identified workshops - in Zlatá Koruna near Český Krumlov and in Kolinec in the Klatovy region.

The aim of the study was to determine the status of glazed roofing church sv.Jakuba Většího in Jihlava and comment on the possibility of another term preservation of the national cultural monument in question. To this end, a local investigation was documented status disorders in selected sections and measured air flow rate. Further samples were taken and covering a series of tests described below.
Marketing of the state castles and chateaus

This thesis is focused on marketing of the state castles and chateaus. The fact, that they are considered as a cultural heritage which must be preserved for the future generations, gives marketing of the castles and chateaus unique characteristics. The aim of this thesis is to determine marketing recommendations for the state castles and chateaus and another historical buildings within the Czech Republic, resulting from the expert interviews with the castellans and other personnel of the Czech castles and chateaus and from the research of available Czech and foreign literature.
The folk culture as a factor of tourism development in the region of Valašsko

The aim of this thesis is to highlight the importance of folk culture for tourism development and to suggest options for better evaluation and effective use of the potential of folk culture tourism in the selected region based on the results of the analysis in the region of Wallachia. In the introduction of the practical part I deal with the current supply of Wallachia. The fundamental part was quantitative marketing research in the form of a questionnaire survey. The aim of the survey was to identify the participants of tourism in terms of demographic characteristics, determine the purpose of the visit, analyse their financial expenses, and identify subjective perception of culture and assessment of infrastructure and services in the region. I designed a new product called "Wallachia hunt", which aim was to involve young people in the Wallachia culture, tourism allows participants to actively and an interesting way to travel around the region and specifically to discover its natural and cultural wealth. "Wallachia hunt" is based on the worldwide known activity called geocaching. In my work I have put together a detailed proposal for annual testing of this activity.
