Virus eradication method by cryopreservation tool - a cryoknife

Currently, in the nursery production of plant material, emphasis is placed on the propagation of healthy material. For this reason, it is necessary to pay attention to the topic of healthy virus-free nuclear stock when preserving collections of genetic resources of vegetatively propagated plants. Some raspberry viruses are difficult to remove from the plant host by existing methods of thermotherapy or chemotherapy. That is why, using the example of black raspberry necrosis virus (BRNV), a comprehensive methodology for testing health status and cryotherapy in raspberry was developed. The resulting methodical procedure makes it possible to eradicate BRNV from raspberry using cryotherapy of in vitro cultures. The user of the methodology is the Ministry of Agriculture, which applies it as part of the 'National Program for the Conservation and Use of Genetic Resources of Plants, Animals and Microorganisms Important for Nutrition and Agriculture'.
Evaluation of cryotherapy efficacy in medial and lateral epicondylitis.

Title: Evaluation of cryotherapy efficacy in medial and lateral epicondylitis Objectives: Finding out whether the combination of cryotherapy and manual physiotherapy statistically significantly affects the pain and function of the elbow joint in lateral and medial epicondylitis. Furthermore, a comparison of the group undergoing manual physiotherapeutic treatment with cryotherapy as an additive component of rehabilitation versus the group undergoing manual therapy only. Methods: Data collection was performed using a standardized Patient-Rated Elbow Evaluation (PREE) questionnaire with Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), through which probands evaluated the effect of procedures used in the control and experimental group on elbow pain and function. To determine the efficacy of examined intervention, the data collected before and after the experiment were used. To compare the control and the experimental group, the differences achieved for each group were used. For the statistical analysis the parametric tests were used, since Shapiro-Wilk tests showed a normal distribution of the data. It was assumed, that above mentioned methods decrease the muscle tone of selected muscles, that was increased by previous running performance or owing to acute or chronic problems with Achilles tendon. The muscle tone was measured by myotonometer in Kinesiology laboratory, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University in Prague; muscle tone of twelve students of thisfaculty was measured. Data were displayed by using an analog- digital convertor and consequently evaluated. Using means of physical therapy to influence spasticity from the physiotherapist 's point of view

The theme of the bachelor thesis is using means of physical therapy to influence spasticity from the physiotherapeutist's point of view. Theoretical part describes upper motor neuron syndrome and spasticity as one of its symptoms. Further it states methods of evaluation and options of influence of spasticity including latest research methods. Separate chapter is dedicated to the physical therapy, its impact on human organism and means used to treat spasticity. In the practical part the influence of cryotherapy on spasticity of upper limb of two patients after brain injury is examined. Efficiency is measured by Tardieu scale and goniometry. Main contribution of the thesis lies in gathering and analyzing of present findings, mainly on the field of physical therapy. Short-term cryotherapy effects to ankle proprioception

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of short-time cold pack cryotherapy in thermoreceptors, therefore, proprioception via deep sensation receptors and sense of balance on ankle joint in healthy adults. In the subject, I refer to other studies using the word proprioception when measuring the cold effect in the balance of the ankle joint. Mainly, cold therapy is affecting to the thermoreceptors but there might be input also to change neuromuscular transmission. The aim of the experimental process is to identify if the cold application on the ankle joint for 20 minutes is decreasing dynamic postural stability and the sense of balance in laboratory environment. Short term cryotherapy effect is measured within 12 participants divided into two groups: control and study group. Both groups went through the first measurement, 20 minutes rest with or without cold application and second measurement directly after the rest period. The dynamic posturography machine SMART Balance Master System (NeuroCom) was used to evaluate somatosensory outcome in the experiment. Title: The Effect of Thermotherapy on Postural Stability assessed via NeuroCom SMART Equitest Objective: The aim of this study is ti determine whether a one-time application of positive or negative thermotherapy has a positive or negative effect on the postural stability and/or balance in a sample of healthy young adults. The tool for achieving this goal will be statistical analysis of the results of the computerized dynamic posturography before and after application of thermotherapy. And futher a comparison with the results of the control examination. Methods: In this study we have used one-time application of positive and negative thermotherapy in the form of water immersion. A total of ten women and ten men with average age 24 years (sd = 2,18), average height 174,45 centimeters (sd = 7,72) and average weight 78,10 kilograms (sd = 18,10) took part in our study. We assessed postural stability via the NeuroCom SMART Equitest test battery. The assessment was carried out without the use of head tracker accessory. Therapeutic and Regenerative Effects of Cryotherapy on the 50+ generation

The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the life style, regeneration, and relaxation with the focus on the application of cold to treat the elderly. The work explains the use of cryotherapy from both historical and scientific points of view. The aim is to introduce the method of cryotherapy as a popular method which postpones the beginning of dependency and motion impairment with people aged over 50 and thus enables them to keep active much longer. Although the 21st century medicine has reached an extraordinary success, the number of illnesses does not decrease. There is a wide variety of civilisation illnesses resulting from the wrong life style. For such illnesses drugs with frequent side effects are prescribed. The work introduces cryotherapy as one of the methods which can serve the health protection, prevention, the treatment of traumatic injuries, and the supportive therapy of different health problems with relatively no side effects.
