Tulis, Zdeněk ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to prepare project documentation for building permits and construction implementation based on an architectural study, which was created within the course BGA036 - Atelier of Monuments Restoration. The subject of the study was the restoration of the listed Renaissance town hall in Hostěradice, which had lost its original purpose as an administrative building and is now waiting for a new use. The bachelor's thesis of the restoration of the town hall in Hostěradice is based on the requirements of the building owner, the analyses carried out on the site and the spatial limits that the building and the area under consideration allow. Based on this input, a concept is developed that combines historical and modern building layers into a coherent solution and brings new cultural and social life to the building. The use of the Town Hall premises are designed with the size and needs of the community in mind. The proposed spaces are multifunctional and will allow for a variety of indoor and outdoor cultural events. Commercially rentable studios and service spaces including sanitary facilities are also part of the solution. The bachelor's thesis also includes a focus on the urban context of the town hall, improving the building's structural and technical performance and achieving a unified expression of the building using modern elements. The town hall aims to become a cultural centre of the village that retains its historical value.

Vémolová, Petra ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Sedláček, Michal (advisor)
The management of Brno has been considering building a new boulevard for several years. Many studies have been prepared on the appearance of the new Brno boulevard, which will be run parallel to Koliště Street. Brno boulevard should alleviate traffic jams on the surrounding roads. The diploma thesis deals with the architectural study of the hotel and the congress hall that would become part of the emerging smart district Spitalka. The urban concept (part of the pre-diploma thesis) is the basis for the architectural study of the hotel. The area responds to the elements that characterize smart cities abroad. The design includes a large variability of public spaces and the buildings themselves. The newly built hotel is adjacent to the newly built Brno boulevard. Across the street, the hotel is connected to a public space around the cooling tower, where the surrounding buildings are used for business, commercial and entertainment functions. The brick building of the Brno heating plants was a colorful inspiration for the architectu-ral form of the design. The building itself is divided into two separate operations, part of the hotel and the congress part, which are interconnected. On the ground floor you can find the en-trance hall, which leads to the congress hall and restaurant. The corner of the building is horizontally divided into floors of different widths. The facade of the hotel on the north and south sides is divided by windows. Thanks to the shift of the top floor, a place was created for terraces that allow a view of the historic city center. The south-western side offers a view of the Svitavsky nahon, the cooling tower and Spilberk Castle. The terraces can be used by wellness visitors, hotel guests during breakfast and to visit the green roof.

Strnad, Miroslav ; Keith, Petr (referee) ; Vojtová, Lea (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is based on a studio project created in the summer term of the third year of the undergraduate studies. The task was the renewal and the extension of the farmhouse for an accommodation facility and other services. The farmhouse is situated in a small village Repechy near the town of Prostejov and is complemented by two other unused buildings. In the second half of the 20th century, rectangular shaped farmhouse with a yard was roofed, interior walls were partially demolished and interior space was used for keeping the cattle. It had a big impact for the current condition of the object. Aggressive environment and high humidity, for which structures were not designed, significantly accelerate the degradation process. Later, the cattle was moved away and the original farmhouse is deteriorating until these days. Currently, the object and its surroundings are in a bad condition. Most of the constructions are damaged and it is not possible to use them anymore. Northern tract is the only part worth protection. There are preserved precious historical chambranles and other plastic decoration. Surroundings is overgrown with wild vegetation. The aim was to preserve and bring out valuable parts of the original object and find them appropriate use under specified conditions. The proposal deals with the removal of three sides of a rectangular farmhouse and preserving the northern tract in the form of a torso. Extension is based on the original farmhouse. Extends the original built up area boundary to use existing structure and creates the first volume, which symbolizes the traditional static form. Rotated duplicate of the first volume then characterized a modern and dynamic attitude in architecture. The final design of an extension is created by synthesis of both volumes as an evidence of the coexistence of a traditional and a modern form. Designed extension has one floor, locally basement and second floor. The extension is also characterized by the use

Town swine. Generally speaking, the parish is rather unexplored, which corresponds very poor technical condition of the building. Draft accepts the existing use of the parish and further expanded. Potential parish is large and it is necessary to use it. New feature parsonage combines several options to use, so that the parish could adapt current demand and that was sustainable. There is a use for the local and the general public that there will be a meeting. It can not easily determine which usage is dominant because they complement each other. Fara will serve as educational, environmental, cultural, sports and leisure center. Will focus on school trips, camps, but also for families with children, young, single or elderly. They can also use the multi-purpose hall for cultural and social events or sports. Local resident, then they can use a training kitchen to pass on their culinary skills of younger vintages, or simply use the kitchen for your own culinary ring. There are two buildings (barn and the parish) of the same archetype - rectangular in plan, low-floor and high hipped roof. One object is at the beginning and the other at the end of the plot. As a volume counter these proportions suggest the mass of the two objects with the same volume and proportions. The proposal several times, the principle of inserting new material into existing environments so as to minimize interfering with the existing structures. Inside the parish because of this principle remain visible beautiful areas with arches and paintings. Most of this principle is used in the inserted accommodation of cells into the interior of the existing barns. In the barn is maintained only a roof portion and supporting walled columns, between which is inserted prefabricated cell. Another compositional principle is the completion of an economic object which shape and mass builds on the existing adjacent building at the property plot.
