Expression of Conditional Relations in Contemporary Spanish.
STRMEŇOVÁ, Radka
In this final thesis, we are primarily concerned with an expression of conditional relations in contemporary Spanish with emphasis placed mainly on conjunctions and conjunctive phrases in conditional clauses. The aim of the thesis is to examine the frequency of use of conjunctions and conjunctive phrases in conditional clauses, and use of verb tenses and moods in such sentences. To achieve this goal, the work is divided into two sections, theoretical and practical. In the first, theoretical section, we focus on studying this problem from the perspective of selected authors from both Czech and Spanish linguistic community. In the subsequent, practical section, the set goal is achieved by analysis of journalistic texts, the results of which we will compare with the theoretical knowledge described in the first section. In the conclusion we again summarize the results of our study, which are supplemented by résumé in Spanish language.
