Stimulating social relationships among preschool children through drama education

In my bachelor's thesis I will focus on the topic of social relations between preschool children in the context of drama education. Specifically, I will be examining the peer circle for the play of a few selected children. I am interested in whether the inclusion of a few drama lessons with social themes in preschool, will have an impact on the children and their peer circle. Whether the circle will expand, children will interact more with each other or whether the foundations for friendships will be established through drama education. The theoretical part focuses on the psychological development of the preschool child, specifically in the area of early relationships, both peer relationships for play and the establishment of first friendships. Furthermore, this part focuses on an introduction to drama education and introduces some of its techniques and methods. In the practical part, five drama lessons with social themes are introduced, implemented and reflected upon in a kindergarten class. Before the lessons, a research method of interview is used, where the respondents are children who are asked about their relationships with other children. Drama Education and its use in School Educational Programs at Primary Schools in Šluknov region

The aim of my diploma thesis is to find out how drama education at primary schools in the Šluknov Hook is reflected. In particular, I focus on how drama education is included in school curricula, whether the methods and principles of drama education are used in compulsory subjects for the development of key competencies, and how drama education is applied in the fulfilment of interdisciplinary relationships and cross-cutting themes. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The aim of the theoretical part of the work is to acquaint the reader with the development of the educational curriculum in the Czech Republic, basic terms, and principles of drama education. The empirical part of the work presents the results of the research. The research was carried out in the preparation phase of this work. The aim of the research was to map how the principles of drama education are reflected at the primary schools in the Šluknov Hook. The appendices include a proposal for a drama education lesson for an elementary teaching class. The aim was to show that it is possible to implement elements of drama education into the teaching of compulsory subjects. The main topic of this thesis is the drama education in afterschool care. The first chapter introduces the drama education. Its definition and history are outlined in this section. The second chapter describes the contemporary targets, methods and principles of the drama education. The third chapter of the thesis focuses on a teacher's personality and his/her leading role in the drama education. The forth chapter concentrates on use of the drama education in afterschool care, on afterschool care itself, on selection of activities and games, on projects in afterschool care and implications of the drama education. The fifth chapter applies all findings to the practical part of the thesis my own project carried out in the afterschool care club in Starý Plzenec.
Developing relationships between children in the nursery through the use of drama

This bachelor thesis focuses on the development of relationships between children in kindergarten using the methods of drama education. It examines whether the drama and methods of drama education can contribute and help to develop positive relationships among children. The theoretical part contains an explanation of the concept of emotion and related terms, issues, aggression and characteristic of drama education. The practical part analyze work activities with children.
