Biomethane treatment in European region
Gutovský, Jan ; Houdková, Lucie (referee) ; Niesner, Jakub (advisor)
The main aim of this thesis is to provide information about biomethane production and its use in Europe. The thesis contains a brief description of the production of biomethane and a summary of the basic processing methods. The following section discusses the current utilization of biomethane in selected European countries. It focuses on describing the state of technology and regulations in these states.
UTILIZATION OF BIOGAS IN TRANSPORT
Štylárek, Milan ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Vopařil, Jan (advisor)
Objective of this bachelor thesis is evaluating the possibility of utilization of biogas as an alternative fuel for combustion engines in traffic. Production and distribution of upgraded biogas is described as well as situation of its utilization in the world. This is followed by a comparison of situation in biomethan utilization in Czech republic and Sweden. There are explained barriers to commercial placing and its possible eliminating. In the end the model study of replacement of farm vehicle fleet for CNG vehicles is described.
Biomethane production in biogas plants
Matoušek, Jakub ; Miklas, Václav (referee) ; Vondra, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the production of biomethane in biogas plants. The introductory part presents the operation of the biogas plant, its inputs, components, and products. The main part of the thesis deals with the perspective of biomethane in the Czech Republic and Europe and progressive technologies for the conversion of biogas to biomethane. The basic principle, advantages and disadvantages of each upgrade method are given. Common technologies at the level of commercial readiness include high pressure water scrubbing, organic physical scrubbing, chemical scrubbing process, pressure swing adsorption and membrane separation. The mentioned methods of biogas upgrading are evaluated and compared with regard to their practical applicability in the Czech environment.
Biogas stations connected to natural gas distribution systems
Ondra, Jaromír ; Pěcha, Jiří (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This work deals with the problematics of acquisition, treatment, cleaning and use of biogas. This work mentions the procedures of solutions to problems that occur in this field. This work also deals with options of conecting biogas to central distribution of natural gas.
Waste gas combustion
Krček, Robin ; Lisá, Hana (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of using waste gases as fuel. The first part is focused on the production processes, properties and composition of selected waste gases. The following part is an overview of the methods used in the treatment and removal of pollutants from the gas. Finally, technologies that generate electrical, thermal or mechanical energy by burning waste gases are summarized.
Impact of Membrane Separation of Biogas on Biogas Station Operating Conditions
Svoboda, Jan ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of removing carbon dioxide from biogas using membrane separation. Addresses the impact of the implementation of a small research facility at the existing operation of the biogas plant. Assessment of the impact on traffic is solved in terms of technical and economic.
New technologies for an efficient operation of biogas plants
Uhlířová, Marcela ; Máša, Vítězslav (referee) ; Vondra, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on new technologies enhancing efficient operation of biogas plants. The introductory part describes operation of biogas plant, its products and issues. The main part of the thesis deals with description of three progressive technologies concerning biogas plants such as dry fermentation, hydrothermal pretreatment and biogas upgrading to biomethane. For each technology there is a description, advantages and disadvantages with regard to their practical applicability.
Natural gas as fuel for internal combustion engines
Hromádka, Adam ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The content of this Bachelor thesis is a short overview and characteristic of alternative fuels for combustion engines. The main object is detailed analyse of natural gas application in terms of operating, economy and ecology.
Utilization of biogas in transport
Strnadel, Bronislav ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Vopařil, Jan (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is the utilization of biogas as a fuel for vehicle engines. First of all, methods of production, upgrading and utilization of biogas are explained. Then the situation in the Czech Republic and in Sweden is compared. Next part of the thesis is focused on the vehicles which burn upgraded biogas or natural gas vehicles. Their construc-tion and the function of fuel system are described in detail. The dependence of shape of combustion chamber on engine performance and the issue of protection of valves and their seats are described in this chapter. In the last part, a business case study of utilization of bio-gas from a biogas station is elaborated.
CO2 removing from biogas
Kovář, Martin ; Niesner, Jakub (referee) ; Dvořák, Radek (advisor)
Research the Selexol, Rectisol, Fluor and Purisol technologies for the treatment of biogas to natural gas quality is the main job. The purified biogas must meet quality requirements, which sets out legislation Czech Republic. An important point is to build models of technology in the ChemCad software. Methods are analyzed with these models for the same output requirements. The result is to determine whether the technologies are suitable for biogas purification and implement, through research, simplified technical and economic evaluation.
