Fraitová, Tereza ; Lacko, Branislav (referee) ; Doskočil, Radek (advisor)
This thesis focuses on operational risk management in banking. Operational risk is defined as the risk of loss arising from inadequacy or failure of internal processes and systems, from human failure, and as the risk of loss arising from an external event. These mentioned operational risks will be dealt with later in the thesis. The aim is to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during the study and apply it to the work with the help of risk measurement, assessment tools. Then the impacts and consequences are presented using selected analyses. Furthermore, the thesis contains partial suggestions for risk minimization measures in the selected institution. The results of the thesis contain some contribution to the management and its risk management last but not least for further development and risk measures in the selected banking institution.
