Children's book and ecology

The aim of this diploma thesis is to map the offer of children's books with ecological themes in the Czech Republic and to create author's own book with a methodological manual for environmental education. In the theoretical part, suitable topics will be researched in books about ecology for environmental education aimed at first grade of primary school and an analysis of children's books focused on ecology will be made. The practical part is devoted to project days, when author's own book is being used, and in the end, a questionnaire concerning the teaching environment at the first grade of primary school is demonstrated. Photography and author's book

The topic of my bachelor thesis is Photography and the Author's Book. I deal in it with a brief chronological history of the medium of photography and, in a little more detail, with contemporary photography. I follow a similar approach to the phenomenon of author's books and their various variations and forms, where I also briefly introduce the medium of zine. After the author's book, the work moves on to the combination of the author's book and photography and photographic publications. Then, the various author's files, photography books, author's books and visual files are mentioned in the thesis, which are also described in terms of how they work with text, photography and their overall visuality. All of these publications are contemporary productions in the Czech Republic, no more than 5 years old, and their subject matter is similar to that of my author's photography book (nature, feelings, music), which I describe in detail in the artistic part of the thesis. The artistic part consists of an author's photographic project presented in the form of an author's book, in which I try to connect the theme of nature, feelings with images accompanied by music. The master thesis ,,The czech authorial fairy tale in the thirties of the twentieth century and her actual situation as inspirational source for making an authorial book´´ consist of two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is about history of the authorial fairy tale, fairy tale charasterictics, form and progress. The work is mainly about the authorial fairy tale chiefly in the Czech Republic, it is from the thirties of the twentieth century until now. The practical part is about the authorial book inspired production of the writer and the illustrator Petr Sís. This autor is the main inspirational source for making the authorial book and text and illustration.

Czech Illustrated Book for Children

The bachelor thesis deals with current approaches to the book as such and gradually focouses mainly on making books for children and youth. It presents Czech illustrators and creators of artist's books. The key element of the work is the interconnection of content through illustration and photography. The content of the book is intended primarily for children and it is demonstrated by a selection of Czech authors and their work, in which they connect text, ilustration and photography. Theoretical knowledge of this work is based on the practical part with the aim to create an artist's book for children using photography. Through an illustrated story, it introduces the principle of camera obscura and presents instructions for assembling a pinhole camera. The didactic method then presents and implements ideas for the application of photography in art education through two art tasks. Bímová, Š.: Author children's picture book. [Diploma thesis] Prague 2015 - Charles University - Faculty of education, 91 s. How was perceived book in the history and today? Selection of several authors I am try to explain past and present trends in the children and children's authors book. Didactic part is mainly focuse on the status of the book in the context with art lessons and not only in the motivation part of the lesson, but also in topic of lesson. Both principles are use in the didactic project, which was built on the theoretical content of the work. The work is an author's book of fifty copies. I deal with topics of structures, details and nature - I specifically focus on the forms of ice crystallization. The book is based on knowledge of my own way of thinking and creation and is a representation of my perception of the world that fundamentally influences my work. The book's content is poetic and consists of author's photographs, drawings and texts (except for a few citations).

The diploma thesis "Imagination in William Blake´s work and illustrations (work on paper underlay)" is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part aims to study the life and work of the world known artist William Blake, make deeper analysis of his work and imagination. Professional thesis from theorists who dealt with with the work of William Blake will be presented. This theoretical part is important for creation of the second part. The primary goal of the practical part is to make the concept of the author's book, which is inspired by the work of William Blake and is entitled "Tribute to William Blake".
