Customer satisfaction strategy in automotive industry - example of Škoda Auto

The first objective of this thesis is to define the most significant benefits of a customer satisfaction strategy for a company. Especially, the effects on customer base, retention, loyalty, and last but not least on financials are discussed. Furthermore, three techniques of customer satisfaction measurement are critically assessed. Those are complaint management, customer satisfaction surveys, and mystery shopping. Secondly, a comprehensive customer satisfaction strategy for ŠKODA AUTO is defined based on theoretical knowledge regarding customer satisfaction and the specifics of automotive industry. The strategy comprises of four particular parts: generic approach, sales, after sales, and product.
The sales process of Skoda Genuine parts with focus on importance of correct data for determining its potential

The aim of this thesis is to introduce sales of SKODA Genuine Parts and to confirm the hypothesis that current data referring to amount of Skoda vehicles being used within the Czech Republic are gathered upon wrong methodology, which leads to unobjective marketing analysis which serves as a basis for decision-making. In case the hypothesis is confirmed, a new proposal of data collecting system is required, which will be feasible in long term. It will be necessary to specify the data sources, its plausibility, provide useful information such as the number of cars, age, models, engines, segmentation and so on. Afterwards, the author analyses the market potential for sales of Genuine Parts using the collected data. The data obtained by the new system is required to be used both for sales purposes and for dealing with customers.
Analysis of the Automotive industry in ČR

This thesis deals with the strategic analysis. It has two parts. The first theoretical part describes the purpose, functions and strategic analysis stages. The author consider strategic analysis as an important tool with many uses. In the second part is done an automotive Industry analysis. The analysis provides an objective assessment of its current situation and determines the probable development of the industry. At first is made a description of the status and the history of the industry. Once defined the key factors. Effect of factors is analyzed in the attractiveness of the industry. The work also studies the relationship between the automotive industry in the Czech Republic and abroad. The automotive industry in the ČR is evaluated as highly developed and strongly connected with global development in the industry. The key factors are: the size of the sector, its growth potential, stage in the life cycle, structure, changeable power, cost of capital, stability of demand, technological level, the intensity of competition and legislation. The future of the automotive industry is due to the interdependence of world economies considered as poorly predictable. Great importance is attributed to energy efficiency.
German-Chinese economic diplomacy: the strategic interests of the FRG

Economic diplomacy is an indispensable tool in promoting the interests of the state abroad. It is highly desirable in relations between such giants of the geopolitical scene as Germany and China. Thesis introduces into the role of economic diplomacy in German foreign policy, its actors and tools. After exposure in the development of German - Chinese relations, a list of main areas of cooperation follows. The focus of work is the first intergovernmental consultation between Germany and China in 2011 and their political and business results. They are demonstrated on selected projects in the automotive industry. The last part analyzes the strategic interests that Germany seeks to achieve in cooperation with China.
The influence of the automotive industry on the economy of CD Cargo

This thesis deals with freight transport especially focused on customers in the automotive industry. The introduction describes in several paragraphs railway history and its reforms in the nineties, then this section contains the specifics of rail freight and finally there are mentioned the milestones of the automotive industry development. The general introduction is followed continuously by practical part, which deals with the activities of CD Cargo. The attention is particularly paid to cooperation with customers from automotive industry. The starting point for further research are various aspects that should help you to look at the issue comprehensively. There is described the cooperation of CD Cargo with car factories, which are located in the Czech republic. The final section deals with the description of the strategic steps and suggests trends for the near future, again with respect to commodity Automotive.
The importance of the automotive industry in the new member states of the European Union in Central Europe

The basic question of this thesis is to evaluate the importance of the automotive industry for the new member states of the European Union from Central Europe, which are the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia. Today automotive industry belongs to the most important industries. After 1990 Central Europe has become an area which is largely dependent on the production of vehicles and components. This thesis seeks to answer the question why this is so. The first part of this thesis introduces the companies operating in these five countries. The following chapter deals with the question of how far the automotive industry is important for the economies of these five countries. It focuses on the automotive industry's share of total exports, gross domestic product or total employment. The aim of the final part is to analyse the development of automobile production in recent years with regard to the economic crisis. Also, it outlines the likely development over the next few years.

This diploma thesis deals with the transport packages in Škoda Auto a.s.The aim of the thesis is to show the importance and problematic aspects of planning packages in the proces of logistics planning in the automotive industry. In the first part of the thesis are described the automotive industry as a whole, the packaging industry, its history, current trends, package types and functions, materials for their production and life cycle of the package. In the second part are introduced firm Skoda Auto, a.s.including its history, current information on the financial condition and produced quantity. There are described the types of transport containers and the process of their planning.On the example of the project CKD GAZ - Yeti is explained the development process of transport containers and then general management ot packages in circulation.

The main aim of this Master's thesis is to describe global economic crisis and analyze it's impacts on these car powers -- USA, Germany, Japan and the Czech republic. The Master thesis includes analysis of current trends in the automotive industry -- alternative powertrains, emerging markets, new car segments or cooperation on the joint venture basis. The situation in the czech automotive industry is described focusing on the czech largest car maker Škoda Auto, a.s. One of the aims of this thesis is to point out, if the car maker Škoda Auto came out from the global crisis stronger or weaker and what about facing of Škoda to the current challenges in the automotive industry.
Impacts of business cycle on automotive industry in the Czech Republic in 2006-2011 and comparison to Germany, Japan and the USA.

The goal of this diploma thesis is analysis impacts of business cycle on automotive industry in the Czech Republic in 2006-2011 with exclusive focusing on passenger cars. Impacts of business cycle on automotive industry in the Czech Republic are researched on domestic demand development for new passenger cars and on production, domestic sales and export of the three biggest czech automobile producers. Impacts of business cycle on domestic demand for new passenger cars are analyzed with helping numbers of first registrations in the concrete car segments. Development of czech demand for new cars and automotive production in 2006-2011 is compared to demand and passenger cars production development in Germany, Japan and in the USA. The analysis shows that czech demand for new cars was influenced by economic situation in the Czech Republic in 2006-2011. Influence of czech business cycle on automotive production in the Czech Republic was much smaller than influence of business cycle on czech demand for new passenger cars in 2006-2011. This fact is due to significant pro-export orientation of czech automotive production.
