Ekonomická diplomacie je nezastupitelným nástrojem v prosazování zájmů státu v zahraničí. Velmi potřebná je pak ve vztahu takových gigantů geopolitické scény, jakými jsou Německo a Čína. Představena je role ekonomické diplomacie v německé zahraniční politice, její aktéři a nástroje. Po expozici do vývoje německo - čínských vztahů pak následuje výčet hlavních oblastí spolupráce. Středobodem práce jsou první mezivládní konzultace Německa a Číny z roku 2011, jejich politické a obchodní výsledky. Ty jsou demonstrovány na vybraných projektech automobilového průmyslu. V poslední části jsou analyzovány strategické zájmy, které se Německo snaží spoluprací s Čínou docílit. Economic diplomacy is an indispensable tool in promoting the interests of the state abroad. It is highly desirable in relations between such giants of the geopolitical scene as Germany and China. Thesis introduces into the role of economic diplomacy in German foreign policy, its actors and tools. After exposure in the development of German - Chinese relations, a list of main areas of cooperation follows. The focus of work is the first intergovernmental consultation between Germany and China in 2011 and their political and business results. They are demonstrated on selected projects in the automotive industry. The last part analyzes the strategic interests that Germany seeks to achieve in cooperation with China.
