Sedláčková, Jana ; Pavlík, Petr (advisor) ; Linková, Marcela (referee)
The aim of my thesis is to discover how prevalent the sexual harassment by teachers at Czech secondary schools is and how students perceive such described problematic behaviour. In the theoretical section, I describe the history of origin of the term sexual harassment abroad as well as in the Czech Republic. Further, I present its definitions and Czech legislation of this phenomenon. Consequently, the readers will learn about theories of sexual harassment in the academic setting and about findings of some foreign and Czech researches recently held on this topic. Finally, the last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to specific setting of secondary schools with emphasis on the main functions of educational institutions. I also point out consequences of adolescent students' sexual harassment. The empirical part then describes a chosen method - quantitative survey research - and its practical use. After that, the findings are presented and analyzed. Besides the overall occurrence of sexual harassment at Czech secondary schools I also focus on the comparison of this phenomenon perception between boys and girls and also among different types of Czech secondary schools.

Kriegerová, Hana ; Šnýdrová, Ivana (advisor) ; Tureckiová, Michaela (referee)
This thesis deals with the current issue of discrimination in the workplace, especially focuses on discrimination based on age and sex, sexual harassment and bullying in the workplace, legislation that regulates the area of discrimination in labor relations. The theoretical section includes explanations of terms and connections to a given focus and the practical part includes a probe into five large companies examining whether the effects mentioned in the theoretical part actually occur in practice, or how these problems are solved. This probe was in the form of semi-structured interview respondents in their workplaces. The results confirmed the claim that one of the most vulnerable group are women. Larger companies are trying to provide them a variety of advantages as for example flexible-time work, etc. Some companies have confirmed that there were some cases of bullying or sexual harassment in their firm, but these situations have not been solved other than by the dismissal of one of the participants. However, the occurrence of age discrimination was in the surveyed companies not confirmed - despite the theoretical claims and personal experience. It also showed that the respondents, HR professionals from large companies, have a poor conception of the possible solutions of those situations and...

Veľasová, Lenka ; Pikhart, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Chmelová, Pavla (referee)
In this bachelor dissertation work is studied the use of regression analysis of wage development. This analyse the situation before and after possible impact of the antidiscrimination law on the wage situation of women and men in the labor market. The theoretical part is intended construction of work concepts such as equality, discrimination and its types and forms. Together with clarifying the content of the antidiscrimination law passed in 2009. The practical part contains an analysis of the macroeconomic situation for the period 2005-2014 and analysis of the factors directly affecting the level of wages. Attention is given to the period after 2009, which should theoretically lead to the improvement in the wage situation of women and eliminate discrimination. Although, we follow a very strong correlation between the examined factors and wages, wage differences are objectively justified and therefore we cannot talk about discrimination. This is justified by numbers which demonstrates the ineffectiveness of the anti-discrimination law.

Marešová, Vanda ; Lahvička, Jiří (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
The main goal of this research is to find out the price elasticity of demand for life insurance in Czech Republic. It was utilized exogenous price change for research caused by EU regulation of premium rate unification for men and women, put into force on 21.12.2012. In research were used data from 2010 to 2013 about sales and prices of life insurance products, provided by Czech Business Insurance Company. It was discovered that women's demand for life insurance is inelastic, price increase of 1% brings reduction of demanded quantity of 0,94%. Price elasticity of a men's demand came out as a plus number. It was caused by sudden decline of demanded quantity after price reduction. This phenomenon might be a topic for further research.
The Vexation at the workplace
Chaloupková, Naďa ; Hejda, Jan (advisor)
The border between common and vexation matter of person behaviour we are accustomed to is very slight. The topic of my diploma paper "Vexation at the workplace" becomes very actual and constantly the bigger problem in the contemporary modern society. Everyday mentally terror at the workplace, vexation among the colleagues, systematically made malignancies through which the superiors attack their inferiors (or vice-versa) is a problem that belongs serious incoveniences both to its victims and the company. My diploma paper is above all focused on the sophisticated and malicious area of work-vexation that is called the mobbing. Marginally I mention other forms of vexation and the bossing. I made my exploration at the public service environment as the work-vexation is usually put together with it. Primarily I point the legal and moral side of the mobbing and its psychological and social aspects. Secondarily I mark the mobbing as a job-psychological phenomenon, its influence to the company itself and consequences between it and some modern society trends (teamwork, power, burn-out syndrome, internet technologies). Supposing to become the managers we should make effort to eliminate the mobbing. As only the workplace without the vexation brings the satisfaction that can results in higher level of the work productivity, economic profit and the the incapacity of work decreasement. Thereby the mobbing affects the whole life of its victim and also that anyone of us can become the victim it is necessary to solve this problem urgently and constantly.

Is discrimination socially inefficient, or can non-discriminated groups benefit from it in long term? I will focus on the most frequent types of discrimination in this thesis that may occur in the labor market in Czech Republic. Concretely, it is a racial discrimination (presented by the Romany minority), age discrimination or differences in employment and remuneration between men and women. I will pay my attention also to how is this inefficiency solved by the adoption of anti-discriminatory laws by Czech Government or by institutions of European Union. Is this legislation really effective or does it bring any unintended incidences?
