Numerical Analysis of the Lightning on Small Aircraft
Krutílek, David
This paper deals with numerical analysis of lightning stroke effects on aircraft. Computations are implemented by the use of the time-domain solver (FIT). Attention is turned to a simple model of a composite nose part of the airplane EV-55. The analysis of the model itself is performed for two fundamentally different basic conceptions of a possible protection against direct effects of lightning.
History of Civil Aviation 1970-2000
Sehnálková, Radka ; Bencalík, Karol (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor’s thesis is concise and clear history of civil aviation between year 1970 and 2000. This era is typical with outset of large transport aircraft, which are intended for long distances and big number of passengers, but attention is also paid to aircraft, which are not for transport of so many passengers. Thesis is focus on concise description of individual aircraft, divided by its types of propulsions and producer.
Retractible landing gear design for Z 143 LSi airplane
Gregor, Jiří ; Vaněk, František (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of the replacement the Z 143 LSi landing gear with the new VUT 100 type landing gear in a retractable system. The first part of this thesis is devoted to the description of the Z 143 LSi aircraft and its landing gear and the description of the retractable landing gear type VUT 100. The next part describes the possible variants of the installation the VUT 100 landing gear, which are critically evaluated. Then there is selected the final variant for the installation, which is designed in Catia V5 software. The final design includes remotorization with Lycoming IO-390 and new design of engine bed. For the proposed solution, a new mass analysis with the calculation of centrations, new cases of ground load, a new flight envelope of load and additional cases of load of a new engine bed are prepared. The proposed engine bed is analyzed by the finite element calculation method in the MS Patran software. Finally, a possible scheme of the chassis retraction system is proposed.
Basic Geometric Conception of Aircraft
Matějka, Pavel ; Kouřil, Martin (referee) ; Šošovička, Róbert (advisor)
The bachelor works is focused on characterization of basic geometric conception of aircraft, analyze their advantages and disadvantages in light of aerodynamic, construction and function properties. Useless for purpose in several categories and new trends of development.
Aircraft Maintenance
Phung, Nhu Binh ; Třetina, Karel (referee) ; Finda, Jindřich (advisor)
This thesis is summarized knowledge the broblems and evaluation of current status in process plan in manitenance of small transport aircraft. State characteristics and applicability to non-destructive inspection methods in the maintenance of aircraft
Evaluation of an inspection program and overhauls for ZLIN 26 aircraft
Jančář, Milan ; Finda, Jindřich (referee) ; Augustin, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with ZLIN Z 26 Series Aircraft maintenance and repairs procedures. Even the name shows, that this theme is very demanding and extensive. My interest was to explain some maintenance procedures of these aircraft and offer changes of it. In the beginning of this thesis we can briefly learn history of the ZLIN Aircraft and particular Z 226 Series models. There are mentioned difference maintenance procedures, applicable on the planes thru the service life time. Inspection and overhaul procedures are described in details and for better understanding were attached drawings or photos. Following chapter deals with evaluation existing inspections and overhauls - maintenance – procedures. Optimization of the maintenance is part of the chapter fourth, where is described possible innovation of the maintenance check list. In the last, fifth chapter, of this thesis are mentioned possibilities of the ZLIN Aircraft life time prolongation, which is actually discussed because of some aircraft of this type series reached basic life time limit, without any serious fatigue airframe damages appears.
Indirect aircraft control systems
Kalný, Jan ; Trefilová, Helena (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is concerned with the description of selected elements in aircraft control systems and their integration into the aforementioned systems. Included with this concern are regulatory requirements for system reliability. Further work is focused on contemporary trends in the development of modern aircraft control systems. The final section consists of aircraft statistical surveys by use of aircraft control systems.
Construction of ultralight aircraft control
Marek, Ondřej ; Šplíchal, Jan (referee) ; Juračka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with control of ultralight glider D-14. Based on the research of applied construction solutions of ultralight airplanes I designed my own solution of the specific elements and construction nodes. Also, in accordance with the UL-2 directive load of main control systems are determined. 3D model of the glider fuselage with the elements of the particular assemblies is attached.
Commented Translation – New Trends in Air Transportation as Presented in Media
System for Identifying Above Ground Level of Flying Objects
Boba, Peter ; Mičulka, Lukáš (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design and development of a system for measuring altitude (height above ground level) of flying objects. It describes theoretical background related to altitude measurements in avionics as well as various techniques of altitude measuring. The measurement is conducted by HMD (Height measuring device) - embedded system which uses barometric pressure sensor to measure altitude. The main part of this thesis is dedicated to ground unit - a server running custom set of applications. Using this server and radio link, it is possible to send control commands to HMD, receive data, and propagate data into web application. Furthermore server acts as a data storage and is able to process and analyse data. The thesis also discusses the precision of the measurement and the data output. System was tested and used during several glider aerobatics competitions.
