This thesis focuses on prevention of pathological relationships, aggressive behaviour and bullying among children's groups. The aim of this thesis is to map the theoretical phenomena related to prevention of this pathology. The thesis consists of two key areas- theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part defines the concepts used by the author within the text, summarizes and describes in the risk factors associated with the development of pathological relationships, aggressive behaviour and bullying and also describes the impact of these pathologies on its protagonists. The largest part is devoted to the possibilities and methods of prevention and the factors that affect it. Prevention is divided according to the environment (prevention in the family, at school and in leisure activities of children). In the final chapter of the theoretical part, the author focuses on selected specific primary prevention programs, which are described, analyzed and assessed for their effectiveness. The empirical part of the thesis consists of a research proposal, which is aimed at examining the relation between efficiency of selected prevention programs and the attitudes towards these programs and violence and bullying in general that are taken and expressed by teachers. Hostile and aggressive behaviour of patients towards nurses in clinical practice
ŠMEJKALOVÁ, Alžběta
Current state: Aggressive and hostile behaviour of patients towards nurses in clinical practise is an alarming and common phenomenon that jeopardizes the safety and well-being of healthcare personnel. Objectives: The first objective of this thesis was to evaluate the number of adverse events in the "Behaviour of Individuals" category reported to the "National Portal for Reporting Adverse Events" during the period 2018-2021. The second objective was to assess the occurrence of aggressive behaviour of patients toward nurses in clinical practise. The third objective was to describe a spectrum of preventive nursing procedures that minimize the risk of aggressive behaviour of patients towards nurses. Methodology: The first research method involved a secondary analysis of statistical data from the National Portal for Reporting Adverse Events (ÚZIS ČR, 2022). The second research method utilized a quantitative study conducted through the administration of a standardized questionnaire called "Aggression of Patients towards Nurses in the Course of Their Profession (Lepiešová et al., 2015) ". This survey technique involved nurses from internal and surgical departments. Additionally, third research method was used, and it involved qualitative research through in-depth interviews with nursing care managers. Results: The results indicated that the most frequently reported event to the National portal of Reporting Adverse Events was category called "pressure ulcers ". The results of the qualitative study showed that patient aggression was not related to the field of care (p= 0.587). Furthermore, the results revealed that nurses with longer clinical experience encountered aggression from patients more frequently (p< 0,001). The results of the qualitative study described the most common preventive measures to minimize the risk of patient aggression towards nurses, including training and education of nurses and proper reporting of adverse events, addressing staff shortages, use of restraining measures and pharmacological interventions and appropriate communication with patients and their families. The hospital management prepares for the risk of patient aggression through staff training. Conclusion: The practical outcome of this diploma thesis is a set of recommendations for non-medical healthcare personnel.
Manifestations of bullying and aggression in kindergarten
STIBŮRKOVÁ, Markéta
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of bullying in preschools and parents' awareness in this area. The objective is to investigate parents' level of knowledge about bullying, their opinions, and their experiences. Behavioral problems of a patient in a pre-hospital care.
DUŠKOVÁ, Petra
The Bachelor thesis concerns problematic behaviour of patients in pre-hospital care, the paramedics in South Bohemian region were questioned. The theoretical part describes different types of causes and expressions of problematic communication. In detail it concerns alcohol and addictive substances, which are the main cause of aggressive behaviour. The theoretical part also presents a legislative support which regards the paramedics´ work. The practical part ascertains how many paramedics have dealt with patients´ problematic behaviour in pre-hospital care, or more precisely with an aggressive behaviour. The paramedics were questioned whether they have felt prepared for this kind of behaviour, whether they would like to gain a further education in this particular area and whether they have felt a sufficient support in legislation.
Child aggressive behavior in the kindergarten and usually used solutions
MARKOVÁ, Veronika
The bachelor's thesis is describing the issue of the aggressive behaviour of children and how this is dealt with by teachers in kindergarten. In the theoretical part I describe the basic terminology related to aggression as well as dealing with the theories behind aggression and the aspects of aggressive behaviour. I describe the division of aggression, the development of the child, the development of their aggression by means of resolution of aggressive behaviour and communication with family. In the practical part I present the results of my observations which I made in a kindergarten. I observed the ways in which children are behaving aggressively and the ways in which teachers are dealing with this aggression. I also present my point of view and possible ways of dealing with the children's aggression in practice. In the summary I offer a discussion which deals with bridging the theoretical and practical aspects, I examine the opinions of the authors and add my opinion on the issue. The aim of my thesis work is to map the issue in practice and provide inspiration for dealing with aggressive behaviour of a child.
Vliv obohaceného prostředí na chování prasat v intenzivním a extenzivním způsobu chovu
ULMONOVÁ, Karolína
The diploma thesis followed the Bachelor's thesis Ulmonová (2018). The work was focused on the elimination of aggressive behavior in extensive and intensive pig breeding. In both establishments, the toy was placed in pre-fattening and pig fattening. It was assumed that reducing aggressive behavior would reduce pig injuries (bitten tails, ears, navel). To eliminate aggressive behavior, a toy (wooden logs, chains) was used, which was always lowered into the pens at a certain time and pulled out again at a certain time. 2 groups were created in both companies (control / experimental). In intensive breeding after 15 pieces, later after 13 pieces. In extensive breeding of 10 pieces. During the pre-fattening 1 ethogram was created and during the fattening another 3 ethograms were created. The basic categories of behavior (feed intake, rest, movement, standing) and frequency categories of behavior (play / aggressive behavior) were evaluated in the ethograms. Groups in extensive breeding spent more time on feeding, compared to groups in intensive breeding. The animals from the control groups spent more time resting. The experimental groups spent more time moving. The movement was associated with the presence of a toy in the pen. Standing on both farms fluctuated considerably, with all observations. The frequency of aggressive behavior was highest in the control group in intensive breeding and increased over time. In the experimental group in intensive breeding, there was a reduction in aggressive behavior, but not complete elimination. The frequency of aggressive behavior in extensive breeding was negligible. The highest frequency of the game was in the experimental group in intensive breeding, the pigs played with the toy the most. The experimental group had the highest frequency of playing with equipment (they had straw available). Cannibalism appeared only in the control group in intensive breeding, in the middle of fattening. In this group, the necessary slaughter took place at the end of the fattening, due to the biting of the tail of one pig.
Signals of escalating aggressive motivation in birdsong
Škvařilová, Anežka ; Petrusková, Tereza (advisor) ; Schneiderová, Irena (referee)
Singing plays a vital role not only in the communication of songbirds, but it also holds a variety of information about the singer. For example, singing can reveal a singer's age, physical ability, or individuality. At the same time, it can tell how willing the singer is to attack. For this purpose, males use signals of escalating aggression, which they apply primarily during territory defence, using them to inform each other of their motivation to fight. There are several characteristics in birdsong that are considered to be signals of escalating aggression. These include song type switching, song type matching, overlapping, song length, song rate and soft song. It appears that the nature of conflict signalling is highly variable across species. This bachelor thesis analyses these singing characteristics in depth and evaluates, according to established criteria, whether they can be considered as signals of conflict escalation in different songbird species. Keywords: signals of conflict escalation, aggressive behaviour, territorial interaction, playback, singing characteristics, attack
