Attachment in early adolescence and its relations to behaviour disorders
KOLÁŘOVÁ, Šárka
My thesis aims to prove the hypothesis that there is an influence of an attachment organization on the development of an emotionally stable personality. According to the model of development psychopathology a secure attachment organization constitutes a protective factor and is associated with a desirable development of an individual. It has positive connections with competence in peer relationships, effective self-regulation and better social adaption in early adolescence. An insecure attachement represents a specific vulnerability for further development of a child and it shows links with lower social competence, less effective emotional regulation and social adaption or with psychic disorders. The practical part of this thesis focuses on findings of correlations between an attachement organization to parents in early childhood and the extent of social adaption (determined by the extent of the occurence of behaviour disorders). From among demographic factors, the effect of age on connections between indicators of emotional attachment, parents{\crq} representation, behaviour strategy and mental defects is investigated. The part of a research sample is made up of children with diagnosed behaviour disorders. The theoretical part covers the problems of attachment and family relations, behaviour disorders and development features of children of a given age category.
Sport as a protective factor in the adolescent development
Kubišová, A. ; Blatný, Marek
In our research we have compared the differencies in the area of developmental psychopatology between adolescent sportsmen and common adolescent, who do not do any kind of sport. In this research we have used the SAHA questionnaire, that surveys hazards of adolescent development. We have chosen spectra from the area of externalized and internalized psychopatology that were suitable for our purposes. Specimen of 103 pupils of the regional elementary schools focused on extended ice-hockey training represented the group of sportsmen. Specimen of 567 coevals from the same regions obtained by administration of SAHA questionnaire in 2004 represented the group of common population. In our research we have used Mann-Whitney test, that is non-parametric form of t-test, to find out the differencies between both groups. Ice-hockey players scored on the spectra of the area of externalized psychopatology including the problematical and deliquent behaviour more than the representants of common population.

Macek, Petr ; Řehulková, Oliva ; Řehulka, Evžen
Two cohorts of adolescents (12 years old , n=441 and 16 years old, n=325) completed The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D) an other instruments regarding family environment, self-esteem, and personality traits. Results revealed that a frequency of depressive symptoms is related to neuroticism but an influence of extraversion is not clear. Moreover, an optimism, self-esteem, and positive relationships to parents are significant predictors for both mentioned age groups.

Sobotková, Veronika ; Blatný, Marek ; Hrdlička, M. ; Jelínek, Martin ; Květon, Petr ; Vobořil, Dalibor ; Urbánek, Tomáš
The study deals with relation between antisocial behavior in adolescence and school environment. The Social and Health Assessment (SAHA), a school survey, was administered to a nationwide sample of 4,980 adolescents in three age cohorts (12, 14, and 16 years) in Prague and 12 regional capitals of the Czech Republic. In present study we focus on cohorts of 12 and 14 years old adolescents (N = 3023). K-means cluster analysis on the items of Antisocial Behavior Scale was used to identify the main clusters of antisocial behavior. Four major clusters of children were identified. Subsequently, adolescents from different clusters were compared on the levels of their attachment to school, school climate, perceived support from teachers and general motivation to study. As we expected, adolescents from the cluster with high rate of antisocial behaviors perceive the school environment as the most negative.
The teacher stressing situations in the teacher - adololescent pupil relationship
Řehulková, Oliva ; Řehulka, Evžen
Some interactions between the teacher and the adolescent pupil in the pedagogical process may involve a considerable amount of stress. The research described in this article involved a group of 368 teachers at the elementary and secondary schools, both men and women, who defined these situations and determinated their level of difficulty. They are mainly characterized by a very self-confident or even self-important behaviour of the pupils trying to have their way, asserting themselves in a rude way and lacking consideration for the others. With older teenagers, the teachers tend to be more tolarant of some of these ways, which in turn reduces their stress. The level of stress is affected by the gender factor (man and woman teachers) and school level (basic/secondary school). The study of this problem area may also be an important source of information for the teachers to draw on.
Adolescence, formation of identity; and contemporary Czech adolescents
Macek, Petr
The first part is a contemporary view on adolescence of adulthood. Adolescence is not conceived only as a unique period of the life of individual, it is also a social phenomenon. Social representation of adolescence has been creating for 150 years. Achievement of identity is considered as a basic evolutional task related to period of adolescence. Concept of crisis, obligation and moratorium are associated to the solution of identity. Adolescent moratorium in relation with exploration means an opportunity, challenge, but also some health and social risk. The second part deals with changes in common behaviour and experience of Czech adolescents in last ten years - 90s. The results point out that Czech adolescents increasingly resemble to the West European adolescents. (in daily activities, future expectations).
Stress situations in adolescents and teacher´perception of that
Řehulková, Oliva ; Řehulka, Evžen
The research of the stress situations in adolescents (secondary school) and teachers´perception of these situations is described in this study. In regard to professional knowledge of psychology in teachers, we didn´t expect great differences between the manifested stress in adolescents and teachers´perception of that. The result has been confirmed, as the teachers don´t estimate stress from the partner relationships and conflicts with the teachers and they overestimate stress from the study activity.
