Accountability in Higher Education in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis "Accountability in tertiary education in the Czech Republic" is based on the concept of accountability, which is defined as a social relation between two actors, where one actor is obliged to justify his conduct and behavior to another. This diploma thesis has been mainly written on a theoretical base - the accountability concept, which will be applied in the Czech tertiary education. The main aim of the presented diploma thesis is to find out, whether the concept of accountability in the Czech Republic will contribute to the expansion of a professional knowledge in tertiary education system. The set aim further allows verification, if accountability as a concept might be beneficial for further research in this field. The objective of this diploma thesis will further describe how accountability is applied in the tertiary education and outline such a complex network of relations between actors. Following the set aim, this thesis is conceived as a theoretical study covering the specific country - the Czech Republic. Implamentation of graduation examination in mathematic from the viewpoint of education policy actors.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the implementation of a compulsory math exam in mathematics at secondary schools in the Czech republic. The thesis describes the implementation of compulsory math examinations in mathematics as a educational policy instrument. The creators and recipients of this decision are revealed through the analysis of actors. The research is focused on the perspective of the head masters and mathematics teachers. This work describes the anchoring of head masters and teachers in the educational policy in the Czech Republic. Using semi-structured interviews the thesis discovers the beliefs and analyzes the perceptions and disagreements between actors. The research is based on the questioning of actors from different types of secondary schools.
The mining heritage of the Jáchymov region as a dynamic sociocultural process

The presented dissertation deals with the perception and methods of management of the mining heritage from the perspective of individual stakeholders, entities and interest groups involved in the process of its creation, inventory, interpretation, use, protection or reconstruction. At the same time, it discusses the ways of using the mining heritage, the benefits and risks of its presence in the territory or its connection to territorial identities. The general starting points of the research are based on a search and critical discussion of scientific literature and key geographical concepts (heritage, place, identity). In the first part, the thesis deals with the conceptualization of heritage in general, discussing various ways of defining and looking at heritage, its characteristics and properties, and also it discusses possible approaches to it. The thesis also brings different perspectives on classification of heritage and analysis of its individual phases, as the heritage is seen as a socio-cultural process conditioned by individual actors, entities and interest groups who enter and influence it at various stages. Analysis of Social Networks of Actors Active within the inner periphery in the Border Area of Central, West and South Bohemia

The thesis deals with the analysis of the social networks of actors of public, non-profit and private sectors active within the inner periphery, which is located in the border area of central, west and south Bohemia. The objective of the thesis is to try to identify and characterize social networks of actors active in the area of interest and acquire knowledge about the complexity, density and overall organization of these networks. The main research questions of the thesis include evaluation of the complexity of the identified social networks, characterization of frequency of collaboration between the actors in networks, or assess the influence of the actors within the area of interest from their perspective. The effort is also to compare the analyzed results of these networks within three individual parts of the area of interest. Attitude of teachers and parents toward inclusive education at Step by Step program

The topic of this graduate thesis is the inclusive education programme Step by Step. More specifically, the work focuses on the attitude of the involved teachers and parents to this phenomenon. The theoretical bases are focused on the definition of the terminologically unclear terms of inclusion and integration, they outline their historical and legislative development as well as the overall intention and summarize the main components which influence its high-quality course. One part of the thesis also focuses on the characteristics of the participants and the base of this education, and also on the psychological aspects influencing the attitude of an individual. Statements analysis of the municipal districts to the Prague Metropolitan plan

The bachelor thesis focuses mainly on the Metropolitan plan- the spatial plan of the capital city Prague. Especially, it deals with the statements from the municipal districts of Prague to the Metropolitan plan. In the theoretical introduction the broader concept of spatial planning and several approaches to it are explained. Further on, the thesis explains the organization of the public administration system and its four types and the connection between it, mainly because it is very important in the whole process of spatial planning. The second part of the thesis pays attention to the analysis of the municipal district. Individual statements are sorted into seven different categories, which covers mostly all of the topics of the territorial development. Political Discourse of Coalitions in the Social Housing Policy in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis examine a social housing in the Czech Republic. This is very actual topic of nowadays. Until now, no legislative norm has been adopted to deal with the difficult housing distress of the population. While comparing with other European and non-European countries, Czech housing legislation is about to lose its breath. For example in terms of affordability of housing, quality of housing, housing security etc. The reason of this diploma thesis is to analyze the network connections between subsystem of social housing through public political theory Advocacy Coalition Framework The very first software tool in the Czech Republic which apply the theory in practise was tool called Discourse Network Analyzer. The core part of the research of the diploma thesis is therefore a discourse analysis, which focuses on examining the political beliefs of the subsystems and identifying the advocacy coalitions of the subsystem. Followed up with interpretations of the data obtained indicated political beliefs in historical, social and economic circumstances. The main findings of the diploma thesis include confirmation of three advocacy coalitions in the subsystem of social housing.
