(IN)DEPENDENCE OF AEROSOL ACTIVATION ON CLOUD POSITION
Zíková, Naděžda ; Pokorná, Petra ; Sedlák, Pavel ; Sokol, Zbyněk ; Ždímal, Vladimír
Five in situ campaigns focused on aerosol-cloud interactions were conducted at Mount Milešovka in the Czech Republic to gain more insight into aerosol activation and its dependence on meteorological parameters, mainly vertical air velocity and position within the cloud. The activated fraction was calculated from the difference of concentrations measured behind the whole air inlet and the PM2.5 inlet. The liquid water content (LWC) was calculated from visibility, cloud base position was estimated from ceilometer data. Vertical air velocity was estimated from cloud radar. No strong dependence was found between visibility and vertical velocity, suggesting that the clouds at the station are mostly of advection or inversion origin. Both visibility and LWC depend on the position within the cloud, with the highest LWC values found when the station was between 100 and 400 m above the cloud base, independently of the actual value.

Design of the Parking Brake Mechanism
Hagara, Adam ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
The main goal of the presented diploma thesis is the design and solution of the design of the parking brake mechanism. The theoretical part is devoted to a more detailed description and analysis of the current parking brake mechanisms, specifically the ratchet parking brake mechanism located in the automatic vehicle transmission. The starting point for the practical design part of the thesis is the preparation of conceptual designs together with determination of the most suitable and optimal concept of the mechanism. The next step is the detailed development of the chosen concept, which is accompanied by a series of calculations of individual components while complying with the given requirements. Subsequently, the functionality of the mechanism itself is verified using dynamic analysis, while individual verification states are verified and evaluated. At the end, the FEM analysis of the relevant components of the parking brake mechanism is also performed in order to confirm functionality, while based on the results, the optimization of the geometry of the relevant components is subsequently performed. The thesis also includes a drawing documentation attached in the annex of the thesis.

The practical part consists of qualitative research. The method of semi-structured interview consisted of 9 questions was used to obtain data. The research group consisted of 6 communication partners from two retirement homes, who regularly participated in canistherapy for at least one year. The obtained data are evaluated by the method of open coding with subsequent categorization. The results of the research have shown that canistherapy is a beneficial method in all areas of the client's life, where I included the physical, social, and emotional aspect. The greatest benefit has been found on the emotional components of personality. Activating programs for long-term hospitalized patients
HLAVÁČOVÁ, Lucie
In general, it is very important for a human being to stay active. During any kind of hospitalization, activities that anyone is used to from their home environment or lifestyle may get interrupted or halted completely. It is crucial to return these activities back to the life and activation programs were designed to help us with this task. The aim of this paper is to map the current usage of activation programs and the needs of any individual patient. The paper further focuses on the benefits of these programs and also on the general requirements of possible providers of activation programs. The research used qualitative methodology and information was obtained via semi-structured interviews. These interviews were conducted with ten nurses working at the Long-term Care Department of a hospital located in South Bohemian region and with ten selected patients from the same department. Research shows that activation programs are rarely used in every day operations. Currently, this issue is even more accented due to the world-wide epidemiological situation. The hospital is unable to offer all the special activation programs the patients need. The research itself provides comprehensive overview of the advantages stemming from using activation programs for both patients and the nursing staff. The final result of our research is a new concept of activation techniques. This concept would take into consideration patients' own interest an his/her physical strengths to allow them to select an appropriate activity. These would be offered by the nursing staff who would participate in any selected activity with the patient. All exercises would be simple enough and with low physical requirements for the nurse to be able to add these activities to the regular working schedule. We would suggested the following examples of activities: targeted conversations on a specific topic favored by the patient, reading, watching television, singing, painting and drawing, simple crafting and short strolls. The nurse would be properly trained and educated in providing support during the activity. Example information brochure with possible activation techniques is attached in the appendices section of this written work. The brochure will also be presented to the head nursing staff of the Long-term Care Department.
The Contact Center for Seniors and People with Disabilities in Benešov
PLAČKOVÁ, Ivana
The diploma thesis deals with the contact points of the POSEZ project and their activities. The aim of this work was to map the services provided by individual POSEZ contact points. The main research question was: What are the specifics of the provided services POSEZ in selected contact points. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the issue of aging, the needs of seniors, active life. It also describes the senior issues and their anchoring in the Czech Republic. For better orientation in the topic, the POSEZ project is also presented here. In the practical part, four partial research questions were set. Qualitative research was chosen, the method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interview were used. The research group consisted of four managers of selected POSEZ contact points. Sub-questions were set for individual partial research questions. In order to answer the research questions, the obtained data were processed by the bunch method and subsequently interpreted according to individual partial research questions. The research mapped the specifics of the services provided by individual selected POSEZ contact points. These specifics concerned the area of operation of contact points, basic and above-standard project activities and the specifics of further development. Thanks to the project of the Central Bohemian Region called POSEZ, in individual cities it was possible to help seniors from households to spend their free time actively, get a place where they can come for advice and try a number of possible activities such as education, but also activation activities or various types of counseling activities. Each of these places is very unique, as its activities and choice of activities depend on many different factors in the localities, such as the needs of seniors in individual cities or the availability of services for seniors in these localities, premises, personnel and operational options and more. Some contact points were created depending on another functioning service, others contact points are created independently, under the auspices of, for example, social services or other organizations dealing with senior issues. The results of this diploma thesis will serve the latest and future contact points. The work will also serve as a good material for establishing a new POSEZ contact point, but also as an inspiring template for the creation of other services in all contact points. Furthermore, the thesis can serve as feedback for the author of the project and individual contact points, but can also provide valuable information to students and people dealing with this topic.
