Electronic Ignition Unit for Combustion Engine
Čmelík, Matouš ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
Thesis deals with electronic ignition for a two-cylinder two-stroke engines. In the thesis is described the existing ignition system. In the thesis are described measurement options of the position ot the engine crankshaft. The ignition system is designed mainly for motor JAWA, CZ and motor Trabant. The design is focused on reliability of entire circuit. The main advantage of the entire proposed design is possibility to adjustable ignition curve, depending on several external parameters such as speed or temperature of the engine. The proposed ignition has been tested in vehicle Velorex.
Methods of ignition spark gaps
Pekárek, Dominik ; Štěpánek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of spark gap ignition. The thesis describes spark gap ignition by external electrode, by Rogowski electrode and by lasers. Advantages and disadvantages of these methods are also discussed. In the final part of the thesis there is described experiment with high voltage spark gap.
Engine Motormanagement Software
Kuda, Roman ; Kuchyňková, Hana (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Increasing requirements and claims on running of motor vehicles contributed to development of new systems on the mixture preparations of fuel and ignition. Cardinal causes, which led to the very intensive research and later introduction of superior systems of injection and ignition, where fulfilment of stricter emission limits, lower fuel consumption at prezent engine-power increase and engine torque. The conception of the classical gas-engine was not changed over the past few years. The supervising elements as ignition and injestions of engines are continuously changed.
Universal Car-Board Unit with Pre-Ignition Control
Ambrož, Milan ; Pospíšil, Martin (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This semestral thesis deal with designe of universal car-board unit for old two stroke engine, with pre-ignition control. Next function is displaying information conected with using vehicle. When the proposal to take into account also the requirements of owners of vehicles for which the unit is intended to.
Fuel Injection Analysis
Schnabl, Jan ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
The ignition and injection system in any form are an integral part of each car. The development of these systems goes hand in hand with the development of the automobile and his growing industry. Since the nineteenth century to the present occurred in this sector signifcant progress. This thesis is focused primarily on the description of the two systems and their partiton. The development has been recorded from the oldest systems to the newest systems.
Combustion Engine Ignition and Fuel Injection Control (Motormanagement)
Škrabal, Martin ; Mikulčík, Aleš (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Undoubtedly the most important and absolutely essential electrical systems located in vehicles which are powered by internal combustion spark-ignition engine is the ignition system of the engine. Without this the engine, or the whole vehicle can not operate properly. Since the beginning of spark ignition engines ignition system executing a complex and long term development effort driven by the best function of the engine. Unlike the ignition, which had to work from the outset the development of spark ignition engines has been to introduce more to the use of injection in the 70 the 20th century. From simple control systems, ignition and injection on the mechanical principle of working out the development of electronic management units. In most modern combustion engines is the management of the ignition and injection is carried out using a common system with one central control unit. Most of this type of system-Motronic system from Bosch-used today in different variations large number of producers cars. In history was the main objective of the management system to achieve the highest possible power, now coming oil crisis be brought to the forefront of the fuel consumption and the implementation of emission standards (in the Czech Republic EURO standards).
Engine Motormanagement Software
Kopecký, Ivo ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Fuel injection is a means of metering fuel into an internal combustion engine. In modern automotive applications, fuel metering is one of several functions performed by an "engine management system". A fuel injection system is designed and calibrated specifically for the type(s) of fuel it will handle: gasoline (petrol), Autogas LPG (also known as propane), ethanol, methanol, methane (natural gas), hydrogen or diesel. The majority of fuel injection systems are for gasoline or diesel applications. With the advent of electronic fuel injection, the diesel and gasoline hardware has become quite similar. During the last twenty years a preparation of a fuel mixture and the way of ignition in engine segment have changed the most. Instead of a carburettor it is being used the unit, which prepare fuel mixture according to a status of a car on the road e.g. change of pressure, temperature or ratio of a fuel and air.
Overview and basic principles of vehicle sensors and actuators
Pecka, Luboš ; Ambróz, Richard (referee) ; Laurinec, Marián (advisor)
In this thesis is written out an overview and a basic principles of a vehicle sensors and actuators, which are used for electronic control of Otto and Diesel engines. The thesis is focused on both, fuel injection control and also ignition control of Otto engine.
Electronic control units of present SI-engines
Michna, Lukáš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis named „Electronic control units of present SI-engines” treats of presently known and extended electronic control systems of SI-engines, so those ones, who mainly control both fuel-air mixture preparing and its ignition in combustion chamber. These are two fundamental functions for engine running, so they are described in light of basic principle of operation and also in light of each kind of these systems and its developmental stage description. Next point is enumeration and description of single parts of electronic control system participating in engine controlling, separated to logic sections. The end of publication makes reader acquainted with most extended types of electronic control systems, their producers and elementary differences.
Serial and Parallel Diagnostics of Vehicle Engine Control Units
Čoček, Jan ; Svída, David (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
The thesis considers diagnosis of motor vehicles from the past until the present day, focusing especially on the engine of internal combustion engines. In its sections briefly describes the function of the system and then analyzed how to diagnose faults. The charts are presented symptoms and denouement, using measuring techniques. The conclusion describes the OBD systems, the most commonly used automotive bus and a summary of several major measuring devices used in automotive diagnostics.
