Graphics Intro 64kB Using OpenGL
Baáš, Andrej ; Matýšek, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of a graphic intro with limited size. This work describes methods and techniques for generating the graphic content. It deals with procedural generation of textures and objects, creation of particle systems, lighting and animation of selected objects. It describes methods for reducing the size of the final application. The result is a graphical intro showing an underwater environment with a coral reef and floating fish whose size is less than 64kB.
Modelling of the randomly formed ceramic foam structure for FEM simulations
Papšík, Roman ; Navrátil, Petr (referee) ; Ševeček, Oldřich (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with construction of ceramic foam model with various levels of (ir)regularity for finite element simulations in Ansys. The main objective is to substitute the complex structure of the open cell foam using the beam elements, enabling to perform FE analysis on much larger volumes of foams than the realistic foam models composed of solid elements. In this work, the technique of the model creation is based on the Voronoi tessellation and enables choice of arbitrary (ir)regularity of the modelled structure. The created source codes generate the model data directly in the syntax of APDL language for FEM system Ansys. The first part of the work describes several methods of the space partitioning and methods for substitution of the real foam structure by simplified “wire” model. The second part defines the Voronoi tessellation (diagram) as a key technique for creation of the foam model and describes its algorithms. The next part of the work deals with possibilities and utilizations of various software and libraries, describes creation of the own code in mathematical software Matlab and way how to transfer the model data into the system Ansys. The last part of the work demonstrates functionality of the created model on several FEM simulations, studying response of the ceramic foam on the external mechanical loading, upon consideration of various levels of the foam structure irregularity.
Tool for Designing Procedural Textures
Číž, Miloslav ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with implementation of a program library for designing and generating two-dimensional procedural textures and its GUI supportive tool. Attention was paid to common methods as well as to other computer graphics areas with effort for modifying the algorithms in order to achieve unique results. An effective way of texture representation and its concrete implementation is also presented.
Game in a Shader
Ivanecký, Ján ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of a simple strategic game using OpenGL, whose game logic is realized by the graphics card and rendering is realized by the graphics card in one shader. It also contains introduction to OpenGL, overview of techniques used for generating procedural textures and overview of rendering methods based on Ray Casting.
Determination and Drawing of Post-Region Borders
Geroč, Ján ; Fapšo, Michal (referee) ; Šilhavá, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with determination and drawing a postal regions on the map. All necessary data are obtained from publicly available sources and processed for a particular purpose.  The position of individual branches is put in to the map base and color display boundary region.  For the calculation are used two different algorithms.  One is Fortun's algorithm and other algorithm was developed specifically for this purpose called circle algorithm. Aplication allow to choose different type of drawing borders and also some graphics settings.  Programming language is C++ with usage of GLUT library for graphics user interface.
Map Generator for Fantasy RPG
Pagáč, Antonín ; Charvát, Lukáš (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this work is to develop a generator of maps used in fantasy role-playing games. The issues of map processing and map creation in real world are described. The work also discuss a number of approaches to map generation in computer games, mind games or board games. Next, a program based on generation of Voronoi diagram is presented, which serves as map creation software. The generator has the means to place objects on map randomly, using user commands, or place objects to specific place using graphical user interface. Generator is implemented in Javascript, which enables the program to be run in web browser on many different devices.
Animated Underwater Skybox Using OpenGL
Lagová, Lenka ; Kobrtek, Jozef (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the solution of animated underwater skybox using OpenGL. The work contains an introduction to OpenGL, describes graphic techniques which are used for rendering and describes methods for procedural generating of objects and textures.
Graphics Intro 64kB Using OpenGL
Milet, Tomáš ; Havel, Jiří (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of the intro with limited size. This work describes methods for reducing the size of the final application. The main part describes methods for generating graphic content and methods for its animation. It deals with creation of textures and geometry. Another part is aimed on the physical simulation of particle and elastic systems.
Voronoi cell constructions on the map
Čermák, Jan ; Hrdina, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with study of Voronoi cell and its representation in Voronoi diagrams and their construction on the model of Earth’s surface. At first, Voronoi diagrams and their characteristics are explained in a plane, we describe their construction using Fortune’s algorithm, then spherical geometry is explained. Then we take a look at some equations that are useful for calculating on a sphere, and we use them for calculating distances on Earth, which we approximate with a sphere. Finally we apply Fortune’s algorithm on a sphere, we explain the principles of construction of Voronoi diagrams with this algorithm on a sphere and changes compared to the planar case that must be taken care of. The goal of the thesis is to display Voronoi diagram on Google maps, thus we work with Google Maps API.
Application of Voronoi Diagrams in Robot Motion Planning
Chaloupka, Luděk ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the theme of robot motion planning. The motion of dimensionless (i.e. point) robot without any restriction of motion and on the stage with static obstacles (also point) forms the fundamental issue of the thesis. The thesis also contains the implementation of presented algorithm of given level of exercises and definition of appropriate method.
