Author: Zuzana Košatková Title: Relation of depression, stress and anxiety levels and current mood state with the size of the complex response during stimulation of reflex turning according to Vojta. Aims: The main aim of the thesis is to clarify whether there is a relationship between the level of depression, anxiety and stress levels and current mood state with the size of the complex response during the stimulation of reflex turning according to Vojta (VRL). Other aim is to find out whether reflexive turning according to Vojta has an effect on current mood state. Methods: The study was conducted on 27 healthy women aged 19-25 years. At the beginning of the research participants completed the DASS-42 and POMS-SF questionnaire. Then, a 10-minute placebo stimulation of reflex turning ("chest zone" between the 2nd and 3rd ribs) was performed. During the 10-minute break, probands again completed the POMS-SF questionnaire. This was followed by 10-minute of reflex turning stimulation by Vojta from thesupine position from the thoracic zone between the 6th and 7th ribs. At the end of the session, participants completed the POMS-SF questionnaire for the last time. Non-parametric repeated measures ANOVA, post-hoc Durbin-Conover test and correlation matrix with Kendall's Tau B correlation coefficient were...

Pochmanová, Lucie ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Martínek, Milan (referee)
Title: Assessment of muscle activity by surface electromyography in reflex locomotion according to Vojta Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to summarize the existing knowledge on the objectification of the effects of Vojta reflex stimulation. It is also aimed to verify whether there is a higher muscle activity in selected muscles (m. rectus abdominis, m. biceps brachii, m. tibialis anterior) during Vojta chest zone stimulation compared to placebo stimulation. Subsequently, the mean muscle activity relating to maximum voluntary contraction (MVC) for all selected muscles during stimulation was compared. Furthermore, muscle activity related to MVC in the first and last minute without stimulation was also recorded with surface electromyography (sEMG) and was later assessed. Methods: The sample consisted of female university students in the age range of 18-26 years. Muscle activity measurements were performed on a Trigno Delsys instrument with EMGworks Acquisition software. The MVC of selected muscles was measured for each subject, and also the other researchers whose studies were running in parallel with this work were performed. EMG signal measurements were performed not only during placebo stimulation and stimulation according to Vojta, but also in the first and last minute without any...

Title: Changes of intracerebral activity during stimulation of the chest trigger zone according to the Vojta principle Objective: The aim of this study is to examine whether stimulation of the chest trigger zone according to the Vojta principle results in changes of the brain electrical activity in the primary and secondary motor cortical areas evaluated in the sLORETA program. Methods: Seventeen healthy women aged 20-30 (25 ± 6.4) were involved in the experiment. Registration of the scalp EEG was performed with a special EEG cap. EEG was measured in all individuals with eyes closed in order to reduce ocular artifacts and to reduce visual afferentation. EEG activity was registered for 5 min at rest (PRE CE) prior to the actual reflex locomotion stimulation. Subsequently, the electrical activity was followed for 15 min during chest trigger zone stimulation (VOJTA CE). The experiment was terminated with the registration of the resting EEG recording until 5 min after the reflex locomotion stimulation of the trigger zone (POST CE). The obtained data were then statistically compared in the sLORETA program using a pairwise t-test with logarithmic transformation of the aliasing parameter 0,5 with permutation method using 5000 randomizations at the significance level p ≤ 0,05 with correlation for repeated...

Škopek, Martin ; Kračmar, Bronislav (advisor) ; Kučera, Miroslav (referee) ; Jandová, Soňa (referee)
The Dissertation is concerned with monitoring of changes regarding muscle involvement in specific areas of human motion system when walking and Nordic walking (NW) with focus on adults and by means of electromyography method. Within the process of field testing there were 9 randomly selected individuals at the age of 50 - 60 tested to elicit differences in the motion system. There was an effort to find certain differences within involvement of specific muscle groups in the area of shoulder girdle, pelvic girdle and lower limbs and retrieval of similarities of coordination attributes concerning locomotion at horizontal presented by paradigm of kinesiological content of reflexive crawling according to Vojta's principle. Kinematic analyses was used to discover a difference in involvement of specific muscles between Nordic (v = 5 kph) and regular walking (v = 4, 75 kph) up to 10˚ of ascent. Muscles where their MVC was diagnosed the difference in individual muscle involvement was monitored expressed in percentage. The values found were consequently related to their referential value of MVC and tested by means of Wilcoxon test for dependent selection. Muscles where MVC value was not diagnosed the intraindividual comparative analyses of activation muscle pair similarity was carried out on the grounds of...
