Comparison of healthcare systems in the Great Britain and the Federal Republic of Germany in years 2000 - 2014

This bachelor thesis is focused on a comparison of health systems of two states which are using completely different ways of financing based on divergent models of heatlhcare system. The thesis describes the period 2000 - 2014. Theoretical part of thesis is devoted to description of basic terms of the healthcare and functioning of basic healthcare models. In practical part of thesis are analysed and compared healthcare systems of Great Britain and Germany. They are compared in economic point of view where the main point is percentage share of healthcare expenditure on GDP. They are also compared in terms of quality of healthcare where is used for example number of doctors or infant mortality. The aim of thesis is to compare those healthcare systems and to find which is better in terms of public finance and provided quality of health care.
The European Dimension of Foreign Policy of Great Britain under the rule of Margaret Thatcher

This bachelor thesis deals with the British approach to European integration under the rule of Margaret Thatcher. The first chapter defines the term euroscepticism, its typology and British euroscepticism. The second chapter focuses on the role of Great Britain in the European integration process. The third chapter is about political life of Margaret Thatcher. Her leadership style is also characterized in this chapter. The last chapter focuses on relations between Margaret Thatcher and the European Communities. All the significant affairs, which led to the change of her relations with the European Communities, are described in this chapter. A part of the last chapter is also dedicated to her famous speech, the Bruges Speech. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the turnabout causes of her attitude to the European integration. Further the thesis illustrates how she contributed to the Eurosceptic position of Great Britain, and how relations between individual member states and the United Kingdom have developed.
Contribution to Development of Economy and Politics in Great Britain under the Government of Winston Churchill and Anthony Eden during the Years 1951-1957

The goal of this final thesis is to give a comprehensive analysis of the fiscal policy of the Conservative Party from 1951 to 1957. Under the government of Winston Churchill and Anthony Eden the United Kingdom faced a number of economic and political problems, which in turn influenced its economic development. The British government tried to stop the decreasing trend of the economy in relation to other states through interventionist economic policy, which in the Great Britain is known as policy stop and go. It especially focuses on  the post-war period and the consequences of the government of Winston Churchill and Anthony Eden. Based on foreign sources British economy suffered mainly by four economic problems, accelerating inflation, lack of economic growth, the uneven balance of payments and low productivity growth.
Comparative analysis of the current system of funding universities in the Czech Republic and in selected OECD countries

This Barchelor thesis deals with the current system of funding universities in the Czech Republic. The main goal of thesis is find out or create some improvement proposals of universities funding in Czech Republic. These proposals are based on comparsion of education systems (US, Great Britain and Slovak Republic). The theoretical part describes fundamental theoretical aspects university funding, different systems of university funding, indicating their essential characteristics and identification of differences of systems. The main attention is paid to the system of university funding in Czech Republic. The practical part is a presentation of the results of a comparative analysis of relevant OECD indicators in these funding systems - with reference to strengths and weaknesses. Results of the study demonstrate that for the main weaknesses of of the current system university funding can be considered: 1) the high proportion of public funds and on the other side - very low proportion of of funds from private sources; 2) very low support for students from public funds and on the other side strengths of czech systém is the share of expenditures on R & D in tertiary education. Disadvantages of the system with tuition fees at public universities are reflected in Great Britain. Students in GB are faced to the higher risk because of fees and their debts means burden on public finances due to pay off student loans. (In conclusion, recommendations are shown)
Comparison of Tax Systems in the Czech Republic and Great Britain between years 2010-2015

The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of tax systems in the Czech Republic and Great Britain. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare these two systems on the basis of selected indicators related to taxation such as tax determination, tax burden including its structure, implicit taxation rate and evolution of selected tax rates (on personal income, corporate income, real estate tax and value added tax). The work is divided into four chapters, while first of them describes current tax system in the Czech republic, second one describes tax system in the UK, the third one is dedicated to macroeconomic indicators, their evolution and comparison with other european countries and the fourth one to comparison of selected systems on the basis of these indicators.

The bachelor thesis deals with social security in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. The thesis is divided into 4 chapters. The first one introduces basic concepts of social security and establishes the social security in the international law and the law of the European Union. The second chapter analyses social security in the Czech Republic, with the main focus on pension and health insurance. The third chapter analyses accordingly the social security in the United kingdom, with the main focus on pensions and health insurance in the United Kingdom. The fourth chapter contains comparisons between these two countries as well as their evaluation.

The topic of my thesis is Independent publishing of printed periodicals and work with photography describes the history of foreign magazines following the first use of photography. The work is mainly focused on contemporary magazines that are published once a year, biannual or rarely monthly. These magazines are not owned by any publishing company, their basic editorial team rarely exceeds five members. Editors cooperate on the basis of contributors or long-term employees who are employed externally. Most of these magazines do not adjust the content for "clients" but they try to work with them on the basis of sponsorship. Sometimes a client who wants advertising in the magazine, needs to adapt to that style. These periodicals have their large base of readers with that also related social events and other activities to boost sales and gain new subscribers.

Contemporary British Drama in the View of The Critics' Circle

The subject of this thesis is the contemporary British drama. Firstly the thesis performs a brief excursion into the context of the origin of the plays. It summarises the basic facts about the British theatre system, the development of British criticism and of the British association of the critics The Critics' Circle. The thesis deals with the plays awarded with The Critics' Circle Theatre Award for the best new play between years 2000 and 2010. These are Blue / Orange by Joe Penhall, Humble Boy Charlotte Jones, The York Realist by Peter Gill, Democracy by Michael Frayn, The History Boys by Alan Bennett, Harvest by Richard Bean, Rock'n'Roll by Tom Stoppard, A Disappearing Number by Simon McBurney and Complicite, August: Osage County by Tracy Letts, Jerusalem by Jez Butterworth, and Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris. Subsequently, based on the overall analysis of all eleven awarded plays the thesis gives the assessment of their common features in terms of dramatic form and also in the terms of theme. Finally it deals with the British as well as Czech critical reflections of the particular plays. It attempts to draw conclusions about the nature of contemporary British drama in relation to the British criticism.
Fiduciary funds - legal, accounting and tax aspects in selected states

The master´s thesis focuses on fiduciary funds (svěřenské fondy) in the Czech Republic and trusts in the Canadian province of Quebec and Great Britain. First, a brief history of these funds and trusts is given, followed by an explanation of their importance, their basic characteristics, and the specific laws pertaining to them, with an emphasis on the differences between civil law and common law. Furthermore, the thesis investigates these trusts for accounting and tax purposes. Throughout the thesis, each chapter is concluded by a comparison of the fiduciary funds in the Czech Republic and trusts in Quebec and Great Britain in order to explore the similarities and differences in each observed area.
