Comparative analysis of the work- life balance policies in Austria and the Czech Republic

This thesis discusses two family policy models in the two selected Central European countries; the Czech Republic and Austria. The aim is to carry out a comparative analysis of these measures of family policy, which relates to aid reconciliation of family and professional life for families with children. Within this study of individual level measures of family policies in the selected countries, first the measures involving the formation of family and work roles in family life will be explored, followed by the possibility of interaction of the two family policies. The integral parts of the analysis will asses these measures from a gender perspective. The result of this work is a detailed comparison of the components of family policy, which affect the reconciliation of family and professional lives of families with child/children, including evaluation of the effectiveness of individual measures in the two selected countries. Development of employment of persons with disabilities Czech republic

The thesis is concerned with the issues related to the development of the system that helps the disabled people to integrate into the labour market in the Czech Republic using the theory of social construction of target groups. The aim of this thesis is to understand the development of the form of the observed policy that arises from the expected development of social construction of the chosen target group and its political power within a given period of time. To understand the problem and putting the topic was based on thematic analysis and study of the documents presented to readers of historical and social development status of persons with disabilities in society. Monitored period from the nineties to the present, which was divided into shorter periods. In these periods, the final policy design was identified by way of the interviews with addressed experts. The experts expressed their opinions also on the development of social construction and political power of the target group, which was supported by the study of the documents. Discrimination against women between the 20 to 30 years of their age when they are trying to find a job on the labor market in the Czech Republic between the years 2015 and 2016

The thesis deals with discrimination against women between the 20 to 30 years of their age when they are trying to find a job on the labor market. The aim of this paper is to determine whether there is some violation of women´s rights through requesting information unrelated to work performance. If so, what effect does such discriminatory conduct to obtain employment. The main task is to confirm or reject the hypothesis, which says: women who are subjected to discriminatory questions during the job interview are less successful in getting a job than women who are not discriminated. Necessary data are collected through quantitative sociological research, which examines the experiences of female respondents participating in job interviews in the Czech Republic between the years 2015 and 2016. The results are compared to other gender statistics. Other partial objectives are to approach gender strategy in the Operational Programme Employment 2014-2020, unequal pay and approach the problem of reconciling work and private life. The result is a confirmation of the hypothesis and also I find ratio discriminated women who were mostly asked discriminatory questions about their personal status and planned pregnancy.
Analysis of regional disparities in unemployment in Slovakia and their causes

The thesis is focused on the assessment of the state of unemployment in the regions of Slovakia. The aim is through the analysis of population structure by education or nationality, their economic activity or employment by economic sectors, to identify the main causes of significant differences in the reported unemployment rates between eight state regions. The thesis also provides an overview of basic theoretical concepts related to unemployment and an overview of the prior macro-economic and political development in Slovakia.
Structural changes, structural unemployment and its solution on the labor market in the region Karvinsko

This thesis is concentrated on the labor market in the past five years in region Karvinsko. The aim of thesis is to explore the ways in which is solved the imbalance of labor market in this region and to analyze effectiveness of spending money on active employment policy. The deman and supply sides of the labour market are detailly invastigated due to their great influence on the economic development. The thesis deals the efficiency of active employment policy in region Karvinsko, especially community services, retraining and socially useful jobs. Other part of my thesis is evaluation of the case study among the unemployed who are in evidence of the Job centre in Karvina.
LABOUR MARKET IN THE DISTRICT STRAKONICE- REGIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS

The main objective of this work is to analyze the labor market in the district Strakonice. The paper evaluates the labor market developments in the district during the period 2000 to 2009. The first part deals with data sources and basic characteristics of the district of Strakonice. The next chapter briefly outlines the developments before 1989 and the transformation of the labor market in the country. Further, a development of employment and unemployment in the labor market in the district Strakonice between 2000 and 2009 in the district as a whole and in individual communities. The work also evaluates the commuting and provides employment regions
