Necessity of quality management

The aim of this thesis is to provide through retrospective seach1 an objective view on given topic of quality management. For this purpose were selected particular data and subjects from book notations and documents. Since quality management is a dynamic process, which is concerned with wide range of problems, it is due to development of new technologies and knowledge innovated continuously. Even in this moment, when you are reading following chapters, there are new circumstances all around the word, with which this discipline will have to deal with.
Implementatiton of TQM in Hotel Business

This master thesis is focused on Total Quality Management implementation into Sovereign Hotel Prague. The aim of this thesis is to discover the quality level of this hotel and initiate such arrangments that would lead to longterm sustainability.Therefore there is a complete intern audit realized, that is conducted out of 25 quality checklists with all together 376 evaluation criteria. There are also used reviews from Tripadvisor and Booking.com for evaluation of the quality in hotel Sovereign. The results from the intern audit lead to implementation of TQM in the hotel. The theoretical part is focused on definition of quality, its characters, aspects and possibilities of quality management. It describes the principles of Total Quality Management and its use in hotel business. Facilities, services, organisational structure and market position of Hotel Sovereign is also characterised.
The system of quality costs management in the chosen company

The quality of products is the biggest competitive advantage that a company can achieve. The definition states that quality is the degree of compliance requirement with a set of inherent characteristics. The importance of quality have very increased in recent years - quality is a decisive factor for stable economic growth of enterprises, management quality is the most important protective factor of the loss of markets, quality is a major source of saving materials and energy, the quality affects of macroeconomic indicators, the quality is a limiting factor for the sustainable development , quality and consumer protection are connected vessels. Quality costs are the total costs incurred by producers, users and companies associated with the quality of the product. The quality costs of the manufacturer is divided into four basic groups: the costs of prevention, assessment, costs of external defects and internal defects.
Application of EFQM Excellence Model in the Selected Organization

In the thesis there is described increasing importance of quality and quality management. One of the conception of quality management is Total quality management. The european method of TQM is the Excelence model EFQM. It´s an instrument for complex control of quality. The thesis describes an aplication of the model in ČSÚ and compares the results, which has the organization reached till 2002.
Quality management system and its improvement

These diploma thesis are oriented on a analysis of quality management system in Fezko a. s. Strakonice and propose possibilities for its improvement. Quality management system is in this company on high level. Company is certified according to ISO/TS 16949. The opportunities for system improvement were detected particularly in production control area and material flow. I propose using of modern quality management tools and implementing of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology in production, including kaizen and kanban techniques.
Modern Trends in Public Administration Management

The Thesis analyses modern trends in the management of Public Administration in Czech Republic. The reforms and changes in Public Administration are supported by the implementation of management tools and tools focused on quality of Administration. These tools, including elements of corporate governance and some principles of private sector market, aims to improve and make the Public Service more effective. New Public Management (NPM) can be considered as a general name for the tools and for the concept of the Management of Public Administration, in particular meaning the principles of Process Management, the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), Benchmarking, the Common Assessment Framework and other methods and tools based on the models of TQM and EFQM. The practical part of the thesis contains the surveys and evaluation of the efficiency of the above mentioned models by the Regional Authority and selected municipalities, including their strengthts and weaknesses.
Lean Six Sigma for process improvement

Lean Six Sigma is one of the tools organizations use to help their processes run faster and thus maximize their profits. It is a thorough approach that can reveal defects in companies' processes through examining customers' needs and its statistical data Its popularity spreads fast from the early adopters such as General Electric, Toyota or Motorola and many companies are keen to get their hands on it and achieve similar success as above mentioned. Czech companies are not different. There is, however, a tendency to lay it aside based on first time impressions. The most frequent reasons are: complexity, need to make dramatic changes in the company's culture and high initial costs. Main goal of this thesis is to show that Lean Six Sigma does not necessarily have to be a thorough approach. It can also be used as a one-time tool to improve company's processes, just by picking the right parts and combining them in the right order. This thesis describes the most useful tools and also shows how they can be used in the real situation. By aligning them in a row it also creates a framework for Lean Six Sigma implementation projects which can be used repeatedly. One chapter also describes various problems that might occur during the implementation and provides readers with possible solutions to overcome them.

V praktické části jsou organizaci nabídnuta různá doporučení pro odstránění nedostatků zjištěných na základě provedeného dotazníkového průzkumu. Dále je cílem práce také vypracování návrhu vhodného způsobu monitorování a měření spokojenosti zákazníků v Ľubovnianské nemocnici,n.o.
Quantification of the Efficiency of Quality management Systems in a chosen Firm

Object of this thesis is to give elaborated view of ways and methods for officiating of the efficiency of quality management systems. This thesis is describing and evaluating the current state of quality management systems in chosen firm. In this firm are further applied chosen indicators of the efficiency of quality management. On the basis of quantification of quality management systems efficiency are exposed main problems in quality management in selected firm. This thesis contains proposed correctional remedies for chosen problems elimination. On the basis of repeated measures is further efficiency assessed for realized remedies and is discovered current efficiency of quality management systems in chosen firm.

Práce vymezuje pojetí kvality ve školství, její vývoj a hodnocení. Dává přehled, jaké modely a nástroje se dají využívat pro řízení kvality ve vzdělávací instituci - jedná se o normu ISO 9001:2000, ISO/IWA 2:2003, filosofii TQM, Model excelence EFQM a model CAF. Dále zjišťuje pomocí dotazníkového šetření, jak základní a střední školy v ČR vnímají kvalitu a zda znají nebo využívají některé přístupy pro řízení kvality.
