Distance Measuring by Mobile Phone
Pokorný, Karel ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
Target of this thesis is to find out the way to create a mobile phone application, that is capable of meassuring the distance, phone covers above a suitable surface, using integrated camera. Usage of one of motion detection methods is needed to reach the target. Final application uses constant optical flow estimation algorithm. It gives only one value of optical flow between two succeding video frames as a result - movement of whole scene in the picture is assumed. Application was realized for Symbian operating system with S60 3rd Edition user interface. Implementation language is C++.
SMS Encryption for Mobile Communication
Lisoněk, David ; Bouška, Petr (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with encryption of short text message (SMS) in mobile communication. Introduction is dedicated to overview of the parts of GSM radiotelephone nets and SMS messages transfer . Next chapter is reserved for description of cryptographic methods especially symetric and asymetric encryptografic aproaches. A design of a SMS messages encryption and decryption techniques is in next. For SMS encryption and sign, there is used the asymetric cypher RSA. Encryption use OAEP padding schema. The public key is saved in certificate. The Symbian OS has been choosen as a suitable platform for programming of mobile devices.
Image and Video Processing on Mobile Phones
Gazdík, Martin ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This paper deals with image and video processing on Symbian OS smartphones. Description of required development tools is given, and pros and cons of existing image processing applications are discussed. Afterwards, a new application, fast image viewer and editor, is designed keeping disadvantages of similar applications in mind. Purpose of this work is to make simple and fast tool for easy manipulation with integrated camera and captured images. Results and future development directions are at the end.
The security of operating systems for mobile devices
Kolář, Jakub ; Babnič, Patrik (referee) ; Rosenberg, Martin (advisor)
This term paper explains the concepts related to security of mobile devices. The first chapter acquainted with how to develop mobile operating systems and what types are found on the market today. Then the work explains the basic types of attacks and security vulnerabilities. Further work is discussed in the most famous and most popular operating systems, from their basic descriptions, architecture, and then security. In the eighth chapter of this work is a basic description and explanation of the function code itself created by malicious applications. The chapter contains weaknesses of the Android operating system used by the application, opportunities spread of malware and protect against possible attack. In the last chapter is contained laboratory task that acquaints students with the Android operating system and focuses on knowledge inappropriately protocols used to communicate with the Internet applications.
Universal hardware platform supported Linux operation system
Skopal, Miroslav ; Matěj, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development problems and creating of the multi- purpose hardware platform, which supports operating system Linux. It is focused on the microprocessors using ARM architecture with architecture ARM7, ARM9 and ARM11. The scope of the first part of this thesis was searching the sales of available 32 bit ARM microprocessors. The second part is attended to a particular Mini2440 development kit, its animation and the subsequent development of the kernel drivers for OS Linux platform. One of this thesis details was also the development of my own expansive hardware module and a capacity keypad for a usage with Mini2440 developmental kit.
Symbian S60
Pokorný, Jan ; Weiss, Petr (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
Symbian OS with its additions (consisting of a user interface and an application suite) forms a software base for so-called smartphones. S60 platform that is the aim of this thesis is one such example. Although a significant part is dedicated to a theoretical overview covering Symbian and S60, the main goal is to develop a sample application. It enables customizable notifications for incoming short text messages (SMS) according to various criteria. It has been implemented in (Symbian-specific) C++ with the use of C++ orientated development environment (IDE) Carbide.c++ 2.0 and standard development kit (SDK) for S60 3rd Edition (initial release and Feature Pack 1). This application serves as an example to demonstrate some characteristics of the development for this platform as well as the means of an access to the relevant sorts of data and performing the relevant operations.
