Didactic tools for children with autism and their usage in practise in the primary school.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to approach the readiness of primary teachers for education of pupils with autism spectrum disorders, their experiences with these pupils and with special learning tools, made for these children. The aim is also creating set of those special learning tools, that primary teachers have great experience with, while using them at practice.The theoretical part contains chapters dealing with the definition of autism, occurence of it, causes, education of pupils with autism, didactic tools, structured teaching and TEACCH programme created for pupils with autism spectrum disorders. Additionally, the summary of education counselling centres and other counselling centers is introduced, to which it is possible to appeal in case of need. In the practical part of the thesis there is an academic problem dealt with: What is the awareness of primary teachers and other pedagogical workers of problematics of autism spectrum disorders and awereness of how to work with pupils with autism spectrum disorders? The results of mixed academic research are specified in this part, when for the quantitative part of the research the method of questionnare survey is used. The research group consists of primary teachers and other pedagogical employees. For the qualitative part of the research the method of interview is used. The interview is done with the head of the Special pedagogical centre for children, pupils and students with autism spectrum disorders, then with the assistent of a teacher that deals with pupil with autism spectrum disorder and also with after school care worker who also takes care of a child with autism spectrum disorder. The practical part of the thesis also contains set of special learning tools used in primary teaching.
Specifics of swimming teaching children with autism spectrum disorder.

Title: Specifics of swimming teaching children with autism spectrum disorder. Objectives: Application of the structured learning by the concept of common preparatory and basic swimming lessons for children with autism spectrum disorder. Presentation and evaluation of nine case studies and subsequent implementation of policy for teaching swimming to children with autism spectrum disorder. Methods: Analysis of specialized literature, case studies, surveys, interviews, scaling observation and statistics method. Results of the work: Methods of the structured learning support and facilitate the implementation of standard swimming lessons for children with autism spectrum disorder. The case studies confirm the effectiveness of our taught realized swimming lessons. The principles for swimming education of children with autism spectrum disorder are designed based on the above-mentioned examples of swimming lessons. Structured Teaching in School Practice and its Use in the Education of Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders

The thesis presents structured teaching and its use in classes where children with autism spectrum disorder are educated. The research focuses on how teachers apply the principles of structured learning in the education of individual pupils. Our intention is to link research to practice. We have chosen a qualitative survey to go into the depth of the chosen issue. We start from analyzes of interviews with pedagogical staff. We want to clarify what are the advantages and disadvantages of this method. We are interested in why pedagogical staff recommend structured learning for children with ASDs to teachers, assistants and parents. Specifications for Education of Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder

This thesis is called Specifics for Education of Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and the main aim is to characterize specifics for education of students with autism spectrum disorder. For the main aim of this thesis are important three research questions, one main question and two specific questions. These questions should provide answers to what approaches, specifics and tools are used during the education of mentioned students. The thesis itself is split into theoretical and practical part, in additon to this, it contains also Introduction and Conclusion. Both parts contain several chapters and subchapters. The theoretical part contains one chapter split into three subchapters. These subchapters are mostly about defining ''autism spectrum disorder" (ASD), about the system of education of students with ASD and about educational interventions used during education of students with ASD, especially structured teaching, which belongs among main specifics used by given students. In the practical part is described the aim of this thesis and the research questions. Then follows the description of the chosen methods of the research and the collection of the data. Then follows the chapter, which concerns the realization of the research. The next chapter is the chapter called The Results, which contains the case studies. For accomplishing the objective of the research was used the method of participant observation. Thanks to this method were gained findings used later in this thesis. For obtaining the complete case studies, the parents of the observed children and their special pedagogues were interviewed. By using these chosen methods and the case studies, the pedagogical approaches and used tools were characterized. Among the main specifics for the education of students with ASD belong the individual approach with consideration of individual peculiarity of every student.
Education of autistic children in social care institutions

Graduation thesis deal about education children with autism in social care institutions. First part describes pervasive evolutionary disorders, it's etiology, clinical picture, diagnosis of autism and typical triads of disorder. This thesis also deals with institutions care, it's history and present situation in education care. Final part is research of social care institutions which take care persons with autism. Goal of the research is mapped situation education care for people with autism in social care institutions. Research methods are questionnaire, interview, content analysis. Research is complemented by case studies.
Applied Structured Teaching And The Creation Of Educational Aids To Teach Pupils With An Autism Spectrum Disorder At A Specialized Nursery School In A Structured Manner

This bachelor thesis deals with the topics of structured teaching, the creation of educational aids to teach pupils with autism spectrum disorder in a structured manner at a specialized nursery school, and monitoring the success rate of the created aids in practice. The objective of this bachelor thesis is to contribute to better and deeper understanding of the importance of structure and structured tasks in the day-to-day education of pupils with autism at a specialized nursery school. This thesis consists of two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with autism spectrum disorders as well as guiding principles and methods of structured teaching. Furthermore, it deals with different areas of development of children with autism in specialized nursery schools and the optimization of work conditions and environments for such children. The practical part focuses on the creation of aids for structured teaching and applying such aids in practice.
Special teaching methods in acquiring competencies of pupils with autistic spectrum disorders in man and his world second year of primary school

The bachelor thesis deals with special pedagogical procedures in the acquisition of PAS student competencies in the area of human and his world of the 2nd year of elementary school. In the theoretical part, the bachelor thesis deals with autistic spectrum disorders, special pedagogical practices in education, the area of human and his world, and learning competences that should be the pupil of the 2nd year of elementary school. The practical part is focused on the creation of methodological papers for a particular pupil of the 2nd year with the use of mentioned special pedagogical procedures. The output of the thesis is the creation of such methodological sheets, which will facilitate the pupil with PAS work and at the same time will be able to take it in order to withstand the work.
Comparison of upbringing of children with autism according to Structured teaching and according to Son-Rise Program

This bachelor's thesis deals with two programs of upbringing the parents with children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) can work with. The first section of thesis briefly describes a characteristic of ASD. Various forms of this disorder are described here. The following chapters present theoretical basics of both upbringing programs. There are explanations of methods and principles focused on behaviour problems, communication, social interaction and imagination. Another kinds of interventions are mentioned by interviewed parents. The empirical part is based on interviews with families practicing described programs. The research objective is to compare the key aspects of the interventions. The intent of research question was to acquire the survey of the role of upbringing program in relationship between parents and their children, during their mutual interaction and communication. The study concerns with child game forms and his interaction with strangers. The parent's view of their upringing program and difficult situation about upbringig of a child with ASD were also the significant aspects of the exploration. The revealed differencies in upbringing correlate with distinctions in theoretical basics, intentions and methods of these programs.

Use of natural materials for practical activities in special basic school

Jitka Vodáková, CSc. ABSTRACT The goal of this theisis is to test efficiency of special craft program based on natural materials which was developer for pupils with autism. Theoretical part is focused on characteristics of pupils from special basic school. It describes thein diagnoses - mental handicap, multihandicap and especialy autism. Next part oves overview of natural materials, thein varieties and manufacturing. It also describes how crafts are involved in General education program and School education program.This part of thesis pay attention to safety precautions during craft works. Practical part pay is focused on casuistry of four pupils with autism. The main method was direkt observation during their work with natural materials. This observational work took six months. Results of Cheb tests have verified the Access of the special sraft program. Benefits of crafts work program are highlighted in casuistries of autistic pupils.
