Prison Story
Štefková, Dominika ; Petermann, Tomáš (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is a continuation of a pre-diploma project on the stigmatization of buildings and society's perception of buildings that do not have the most pleasant past behind them. The project deals with the question of the new use of the decaying prison in Uherské Hradiště. Through a meaningful program, it seeks to bring the building back to life and incorporate the current 19th century time bubble back into the urban fabric, while not obscuring the grim past of the site. The thesis is a continuation of a pre-diploma project on the stigmatization of buildings and society's perception of buildings that do not have the most pleasant past behind them. It deals with the question of the new use of the decaying building of the former prison in Uherské Hradiště. The project seeks a meaningful program and architectural solution that would bring the building back to life and integrate it back into the urban fabric. The Slovácké Theatre, which operates in Uherské Hradiště, is moving into the building. The Slovácké Theatre is located in the leased space of the former Sokolovna. The big disadvantage of the existing theatre is the small space for its facilities. Workshops and warehouses are not located here at all. In addition, the existing theatre building is located just off a busy road and thus has no space for people to linger after the theatre. On a symbolic level, the theatre is a program that allows the city to deal with the problematic past of the prison building in a lively way. The proposal does not preserve the prison building, it does not "musealize" it. It is not afraid of radical interventions and demolition, which allows not only to harmonize the operation of the theatre with the historical building, but also to make the closed building completely accessible and transparent. Consciously and through architectural design, the object, excluded from society, becomes its own opposite: a social centre accessible to all. A social conscience and a mirror, not a prison, but a theatre. At the same time, the redevelopment does not try to erase the prison past. The remaining fragments of the buildings are left in their rawness, with a clearly legible trace of solitary confinement and a façade in the style of "architecture terrible".

The Origin and Function of Heterostyly in Angiosperms
Nainar, Adam ; Münzbergová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Slovák, Marek (referee)
This bachelor's theses focuses on the phenomenon of heterostyly, which is an extraordinary feature of several representatives of plants from Angiosperm group like primroses /Primula/, based on two or three simultaneously occuring forms of one species, and expresses itself by opposite height configuration of anthers and stigmas, and that supports a reciprocal pollination and decreases a risk of self-pollination. The introduction in the beginning of the theses compares heterostyly with another various adaptations, which Angiosperms use them to avoid self-pollination. Further, the theses is divided to topical chapters, such as occurence and types of heterostyly (distyly, tristyly), and there are also many mentions about history of research of this phenomenon and about possibilities, according to which the heterostyly could have been evolved. In the theses there are mentioned other supplementary features, such as pollen grain differences as well. Also, this theses dedicates to interactions between heterostylous plants and pollinators and even to a brief genetic basis of heterostyly, which is a very important topic for explaining all these features. In the conclusion, there is mentioned a project named "The chase for cowslips", which is mapping populations of primroses - cowslips /Primula veris/ in...
Securitization and Stigmatizaton of Illicit Drugs in Slovakia and their Impact on Users
Pecuch, Valentín ; Vostal, Filip (advisor) ; Střítecký, Vít (referee)
The thesis deals with the stigmatization and securitization of (illicit) drugs in Slovakia and its impact on drug users. Currently, drugs are seen as a threat to the security of society, and users are considered reprehensible non-members of society. The theory of securitization is expanded with a critical dimension that allows it not only to describe and evaluate the state of affairs, but possibly to contribute to the improvement of the situation through emancipation. Stigmatization helps to complement securitization, as it allows to show concrete effects on individuals. The thesis also elaborates on the evolution of attitudes towards drugs and drug users both in the international environment and Slovakia, as there have been major changes at the global level over the past century, often motivated by the interests of powerful states. In the Slovak environment, however, there was a sharp change of perspective only after 1989, and the thesis analyses this development in more detail up to the current day, in which stigmatization and securitization of drugs and users still persists. This perspective remains unchanged, despite statistics showing a decline in the number of illegal drug users. However, alcohol and cigarettes have seen an increase in users, also among young people. These findings are complemented by...

Furthermore, it focuses on identifying the differences between the perception of these two disorders, the differences in the responses of the respondents based on their socio-demographic characteristics such as gender, age, highest level of education and the size of the residence (permanent residence). In conclusion, I get to the differences in the answers based on personal experiences with individual disorders.
Education about menstruation at the lower secondary schools by external subjects
Matulíková, Dagmar ; Dvořáčková, Jana (advisor) ; Kobová, Ĺubica (referee)
The master diploma thesis concentrates on the issue of education about menstruation at lower secondary schools. Through qualitative interviews with external subjects who run workshops or lectures related to the topic of menstruation at schools, I have mapped the ways of teaching about this phenomenon. The primary objective of my work is to inform about the topics that are directly connected to the education about menstruation. Last but not least, I believe my work goes beyond the physical education and into the sociocultural area and seeks to destigmatize the natural physical process that menstruation is.
