Predictive models in survival analysis
Hadwigerová, Michaela ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Škutková, Helena (advisor)
With ever-new methods of treatment in health care occures a requierement of comparing these new methods to the old methods in some effective way. This is particularly important for the further development of these methods. However, data that describe these facts could not be processed by normal procedures and therefore was in the field of statistics to create a new kind of methods. They are known as predictive models of survival analysis.
Analysis of difference between HRV parameters gained from PP and RR intervals
Svobodová, Sabina ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Milek, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis aims to solve problems of ECG signals, respectively detection of QRS complex and P wave, and subsequent analysis of heart rate variability. The first part is focused on literary research. It deals with the heart anatomy, electrocardiography and more detailed description of individual waves, as well as with the pre-processing of ECG signal, QRS complex detection and P wave detection. The last theoretical part describes the analysis of heart rate variability. In the practical part detection of QRS complex, P wave and subsequent analysis of heart rate variability is programmed in MATLAB. Finally, statistical evaluation is performed in STATISTICA.

Analysis of the Development of Non-life Insurance Using Time Series
Fousek, Jan ; Popela, Pavel (referee) ; Chvátalová, Zuzana (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of data of general insurance. It introduces the area of insurace in the Czech Republic, selected statistic methods, especially the means of time series theory. The default data is drawn from the portal of the Czech Insurance Association. Calculations and visualizations are performed with the support of STATISTICA software and MATLAB.
Decomposition and Forecast in Time Series
Šramková, Kristína ; Holec, Tomáš (referee) ; Bednář, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on statistic methods for analysis and modelling time series. In particular decomposition techniques, which decompose time series into particular components and model trend component to predict future values. First part of thesis is focused on summary of essential knowledge of regression, basic properties of time series and their decomposition models. Hereinafter are discussed models of trend curves. In conclusion the mentioned methods are applied on real data and its modeling in software Statistica.
Mathematical Methods in Economics
Molnárová, Dominika ; Doubravský, Karel (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
This Bachelor Thesis concentrates on evaluation and comparison of the situation on individual labour markets in European union using mathematical and statistical models. The thesis primarily focuses on the analysis and development of significant economical indexes, such as unemployment rate, GDP and average income. The thesis also targets on providing the relationship between the selected indexes with correlation analysis and finally sorts the mentioned EU countries into similarity ground using the cluster analysis.
Water demand in water supply systems
Pikal, Martin ; Tureček, Jan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
Within this diploma thesis were evaluated factors, affecting consumption of drinking water from water supply system. Evaluation of time series of water consumption and chosen factors was performed using tools of mathematical statistics. In the last step was performed a dependence analysis of water consumption using artificial neuron network ANN. Diploma thesis was solved in cooperation with company Vodárenská akciová společnost, PLC and Severomoravské vodovody a kanalizace Ostrava, PCL.
Modelling and simulation in the field of waste management
Pařízková, Iva ; Popela, Pavel (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the application of multilayer perceptron net for modelling the technolgical units of waste-to-energy facility ZEVO Malesice. It was specifically created to model the amount of steam generated in steam-boilers and to quantify the consumpion of steam by an external subject. Firstly, the basics of neuron theory are presented. In the following, a Statistica artificial neural network module is described. This module was used to develop the neural network models. The models appearing in practical section were created with the use of STATISTICA software. Last chapter deals with detailed description of the developed models and their comparison with simple linear and nonlinear regression models. Last but not least, the description of a software providing easy implementation of neural network models into Visual Basic for Application programming language is presented.
Production Optimization of Smith Hot Forged Forgings of Stainless Austenitic Steel 08CH18N10T
Gregor, Martin ; Pacal, Bohumil (referee) ; Černý, Michal (referee) ; Foret, Rudolf (advisor)
The thesis deals with the production and properties of smith hot forged forgings from austenitic steel 08Ch18N10T. Attention is dedicated to the influence of hot forming technology and heat treatment on the resulting mechanical properties at room temperature and 350 °C. The results of the thesis include the evaluation of microstructure by the EBSD method and a statistical analysis of the influence of production and structural parameters on the resulting mechanical properties using the STATISTICA software.
