Rationalization of holder production
Šidlák, Jaromír ; Zemčík, Oskar (referee) ; Sliwková, Petra (advisor)
This thesis presents a proposal to replace the weldment of a mount with a workpiece. The mount is part of a designer light and 200 of them are manufactured every year. The mount material has been changed from stainless steel 1.4301 to aluminium alloy EN AW 6082. Design modifications have been made to the part to improve its functional properties and reduce machine time when it is made. A semi-finished product from a cold-pressed and drawn round bar according to ČSN EN 755 – 1 was determined and its size was calculated. The degree of material usage was then determined, as was consumption of the material for the year’s production, which amounts to 6 bars 3 metres long. Machinery from the company’s portfolio was proposed for the modified part. The majority of the part is produced on a KL 285 CNC turning centre. Appropriate machining tools were chosen for the selected machines. The work includes the complete technological production process as well as the CNC programs for machining the part. They were created directly at the machine using the Sinumerik 828D control system, specifically its Shopturn superstructure. After debugging the program, the necessary machining tools were placed as appropriate in the machine. Prototypes were then made to verify that the technology was designed correctly and that the parts were manufacturable.
Optimization of foundry technology for the production of piston from Al alloy
Poláček, Adam ; Pernica, Vítězslav (referee) ; Krutiš, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of work is to optimize the casting solidification technology to reduce or completely eliminate defects. The literary part of the work deals with materials, production technology and defects in the pistons of internal combustion engines and compressors. In the design part of the work, an analysis of the occurring defects is performed. X-ray examination and the cut of the piston are conducted to investigate the causes of their formation. Subsequently, the simulation of the current production technology is carried out and technological modifications to the cooling process are proposed. These modifications are verified through simulation and in the conclusion are compared in terms of their effectiveness in reducing the occurrence of defects.
Design of miniature specimens for calibration of ductile fracture criteria
Navržené miniaturní vzorky zachycují různé typy napjatosti v místě iniciace trhliny zahrnující jednoosou napjatost, smykovou napjatost a rovinnou deformaci. Kombinací experimentů a numerických simulací těchto vzorků lze provést kalibraci kritérií tvárného porušování za účelem stanovení vhodnosti miniaturních vzorků pro predikci iniciace a šíření tvárného lomu.
Aluminium and its Alloys for the Automotive Industry
Slavíček, Jiří ; Liškutín, Petr (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
The work deals with the description of alluminium and its alloys used in the car industry. It contains a basic division into foundry and wrought alloys with description of their character and application to the concrete components. The work also describes the production of a modern material - alluminium foam.
Using simulation to predict defects in and evaluate properties of die-cast Al-alloy castings
Morávková, Jitka ; Nová, Iva (referee) ; Čech, Jaroslav (advisor)
The purpose of this diploma thesis is comparing the quantity of porosity in die-cast aluminium casting with using simulation. The cast engine blocks were made by high pressure die-casting and a local squeeze casting (LSC) technology. There was also examined the relationship between porosity and mechanical properties of castings. There were evaluated and compared the results of my own measurements with data from previous students theses at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering BUT. All data were tested by statistical tests. The comparison of simulation results and experimentally measured values was found a good programme-ability to simulate and estimate porosity.
Evaluation of porosity in gravity - cast Al - alloy castings
Staňková, Markéta ; Nová, Iva (referee) ; Čech, Jaroslav (advisor)
Solving of this diploma thesis is evaluation porosity in sequence on mechanical properties from different Al alloys. Castings were made by gravity casting to the iron-mould or gravity casting to the sand. Measurements (mechanical properties, porosity, DAS - dendrite arm spacing, shape factors and sphericity) were statistically analysed and dependencies which were detected were processed to the graphs.
Al-alloy die-castings for automotive industry
Havel, Jiří ; Nová, Iva (referee) ; Čech, Jaroslav (advisor)
This search is concentrated on Pressure-castings of aluminum alloys for the automotive industry. In the theoretical part of this topic is described in terms of technology for casting aluminum alloys with a focus on high-pressure casting of aluminum alloy AlSi9Cu3 and methods of detecting residual stress. In the experimental section is a sample of residual stress measurements on samples cast alloy AlSi9Cu3.
Electron beam welding of parts made from aluminium alloy
Jirák, David ; Jakoubek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Daněk, Ladislav (advisor)
The topic of this thesis was ordered by Valeo Compressor Humpolec Itd (further referred to as Valeo). It deals with the electron welding of a component made of an aluminium alloy, a piston specifically, which is made for an automobile air-conditioning compressor. The aim of this thesis was to analyze and suggest a way of increasing porosity of the welded area. The data needed for the analysis and the present state of the welded area was provided by Valeo.
Semi-solid casting of aluminium alloys
Zelníčková, Marta ; Lána, Ivo (referee) ; Roučka, Jaromír (advisor)
The great emohasis is placed on product quality and ecology of production at this time. New technologies are created still. This technologies are improve quality product and reduce productive cosi to a minimum, while production is the most environmentally. The Semi-solid casting started to developer in the 20 century. Semi-solid casting combines the method of casting and forming. High surface and microstructure guality are guaranteed. However preparation of production is economically costly. The special alloys are suitable for semi-solid casting. Development takes plase still. Aluminium alloys are very utilized for this technology, due to the good mechanical properties.
The corrosion study at the site of riveted joints of material different part of aircraft in the salt spray environment
Ječmínka, Marek ; Tulka, Jaromír (referee) ; Pacal, Bohumil (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the corrosion study of part aircraft at the side of riveted joints in the salt spray environment. Riveted joint is made of rivet aluminium alloy AlCu4Mn, square shape is made of aluminium alloy AlCu4Mg1 and sheets are made of the same material coated with aluminium of purity of 99,5 %. The thesis deals with corrosion characteristics at the site of riveted joints and in the area of contact between sheets. It deals with character of corrosion, frequency of occurrence and range of corrosive attack. From the data files were detected critical places of construction.
