Using Sentinel-1 data for creating a digital terrain model by means of radar interferometry
Karvánek, Matouš ; Potůčková, Markéta (advisor) ; Hlaváčová, Ivana (referee)
Using of Sentinel-1 data for radar interferometry Abstract The diploma thesis deals with extraction of a digital surface model (DSM) using synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR) and Sentinel-1 data in selected locations of the Czech Republic. The InSAR technique, the Sentinel-1 data, their parameters and possibilities of their usage are described in the theoretical part of the thesis. The specification of the model areas and used data follows. The practical part is focused on creating a methodology of deriving a digital surface model and its extracting in the three tested locations. These locations differ from each other in their geomorphological features and land cover. At the end of this part the comparison of the extracted model with the reference model DMP 1G using statistical methods is carried out. At the end of this thesis the results are evaluated and discussed. Key words: InSAR, Sentinel-1, SAR, DSM
Czech educational system in the international context
Kučera, Milan ; Cahlík, Tomáš (advisor) ; Břízová, Pavla (referee)
This bachelor thesis analyses the impact of chosen variables on results from PISA. The thesis describes the short existence of PISA, summarizes the results from PISA with aiming on aggregatable variables and also deals with critique of PISA. The thesis provides the insertion of the czech system of compulsory education in the international context of results and findings of PISA. Econometrics analysis based on panel data of 44 countries participating in PISA from years 2006, 2009 a 2012 were confirmed international autocorrelation in results of PISA, significantly positive impact of economic, social and cultural background and negative impact of the inequality in the distribution of wealth in society. For this purpose was used spatial autoregressive model using maximum likelihood estimation method. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Augmented reality visualization of spatial data
Kryshenyk, Pavlo ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Sedláček, David (referee)
Augmented reality visualization of spatial data Abstract The thesis deals with issues of visualization of spatial data using augmented reality technology. The main goal of the thesis was to develop certain visualization rules and functions, based on proposed visualization parameters. The approach was based on developing of the augmented reality data layer of ATMs and then applying the developed functions of object selection, indexed data filtering and transformation functions for map symbols on the following layer. The work also deals with graphical solutions of the map symbols for augmented reality environment. The testing of the developed layer and the visualization rules system was held in the test sites on the territory of three municipal districts of Prague. Visualization outcomes from different test sites are evaluated in the thesis conclusion. The thesis proposes an approach for improving the quality of virtual elements visualization in augmented reality with the emphasis on overlap reducing, perspective perception and depth of virtual elements. Keywords: augmented reality, Layar, visualization, POI, mobile applications, web cartography, SAR.
Pyrazine Derivatives as Potential Antituberculosis Drugs II.
Tauchman, Marek ; Doležal, Martin (advisor) ; Kopecký, Kamil (referee)
Charles Univeristy in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Control Author: Marek Tauchman Supervisor: Prof. PharmDr. Martin Doležal, Ph.D. Title of Diploma Thesis: Pyrazine Derivatives as Potential Antituberculosis Drugs II. Tuberculosis still presents serious worldwide problem of today. The situation is complicated especially by increasing proportion of strains resistant to common antituberculotics. Therefore the need of a new compound active against mycobacterial causer of the disease is very actual. Synthesis of compounds derived from pyrazinamide, very effecitve anti-mycobacterial substance, is one of the perspective way of new drugs development. Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Control, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, beside others, deals with this problem in a long term. There were synthesized hundreds of compounds containing pyrazine core and they were tested to antimycobacterial activity. The target of this thesis is join this effort and contribute to increase the number of compound that has been studied for antituberculosis activity. At the beginning of thesis, there is a summary of facts about tuberculosis, such as incidence, patogenesis and cure. Next, there are informations about newly developed...

Flood monitoring using satellite radar data for different land cover categories
Rauch, Tomáš ; Kolář, Jan (advisor) ; Brodský, Lukáš (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to find method for flood monitoring from radar images. The thesis deals with flood in general and with organization of flood protection. There are described principles of radar sensors. There is also summary of satellites with their parameters. Next part of the thesis describes interaction between radar beam and different types of surface. Theoretical part is closed by overview of the existing methods for flood monitoring. In the practical part there is method for flood monitoring applied to areas affected by flood. The process is based on the classification of the radar image. Using classification and digital elevation model is drawn boundary of flooded area. The result boundaries are compared with the existing maximal flooded areas.
Design and Optimization of the Trading Strategy in Financial Markets
Pospíšil, Petr ; Slatinský, Miroslav (referee) ; Budík, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned with the design and optimization of a trading strategy on Foreign Exchange – particularly on EURUSD currency pair. The strategy makes use of standard indicators used in technical analysis and is consequently optimized and backtested using history data. The thesis addresses both the development of such a strategy and the main pitfalls, ones with which I have came in contact with and had to solve, are discussed.
The effect of the MR pulse sequences on the measurement object temperature
Kosková, Markéta ; Jiřík, Radovan (referee) ; Krátká, Lucie (advisor)
This paper deals with the effect of the MR pulse sequences on the temperature of the measured object. The theoretical part is dedicated to basic principle of magnetic resonance, the selected pulse sequences and risks that are connected with MRI. There is also described the draft of the testing phantom and information about the measurement and record of temperature during MR measurement. In the experimental part the effect of RF coils, pulse sequences and parameters of pulse sequences are tested on drafted phantom with experimental MR device located at the Institut of Scientific Instruments of the AS CR in Brno. These findings are then tested on live laboratory mouse. All results are analyzed and used as default data for developed simulation program.
The Propagation of Electromagnetic Field Inside the Human Tissue
Dostálová, Petra ; Čech, Petr (referee) ; Dlouhý, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the basics of the electromagnetic field diffusion. It describes principle of the finite element method, simulation of the diffusion of the electromagnetic field of the horn antenna and influence of this field on human tissue in COMSOL Multiphysic. Furthermore, it also deals with the calculation of specific absorption rate performance and a comparison of calculated values with the maximum value allowed by ICNIRP SAR.
Inducers and elicitors of systemic acquired resistance of rapeseed to Leptosphaeria maculans
Šašek, Vladimír ; Burketová, Lenka
Systemic acquired resistance (SAR) is one of the sophisticated mechanisms used by plants to defend themselves against pathogen attacks and herbivorous insects. It is based on the activation of defense mechanisms in uninfected parts of the plant. As a result the entire plant is more resistant to a secondary infection. That is very advantageous for the plant because it is too costly to have defense responses switched on all the time. Although this phenomenon was described almost fifty years ago, it received no serious attention until past decade. To use SAR widespread in integrated pest management it is necessary to describe it on molecular level and show its differences in various host-pathogen interactions.
