Evaluation of the Company´s Financial Performance Using Benchmarkingu Approach

The master’s thesis deals with evalutation of financial performance of company through benchmarking. A firm AQUA PROCON, Ltd. operates in field of designing and engineering activities with a focus on water management constructions. Business in this thesis is analised from two points of view. The first one is comparison with a specific field according to CZ-NACE M-7112 – Engineering and another technical consulting. The second one is company‘s performance compared to chosen competitors. The aim of analising both views is to find weak spots and suggest solutions, which will lead to improvement of performance and stability of the company on the market.

Exhaustion control system

The topic for my bachelor’s thesis is control system of exhaustion for wood industry. It is very broad issue, and since I am without experiences in this division I have chosen to create easier model of exhaustion system. I would like to continue in this project in master´s thesis too. My thesis consists of description the requisites for system like this, draft of the preparation and also practical preparation for joinery manufactory. I have decided to control the parts of system by microcontrollers, which communicate with each other wireless and control activity of system´s parts of exhaustion in workshop. The role of this thesis was also to compare the achieved results with other possibilities of control of exhaustion from the economic and technological points of view.

Předmětem diplomové práce je provést finanční analýzu v konkrétní společonsti a uvést návrhy na zlepšení její finanční situace. První část práce shrnuje teoretické poznatky v oblasti finační analýzy. Představení společnosti a její popis následuje v další kapitole. Ve třetí části práce jsou ziskané teoretivké vědomosti prakticky aplikovány. V závěru jsou zpracovány návrhy a doporučení směřující ke zlepšení finanční situace vybrané společnosti.

The diploma thesis is by its nature focused on evaluation of company performance. Analyzed company SITA CZ, a.s. is one of the market leaders providing services regarding of treatment with non-hazardous and hazardous waste. This company is analyzed in two aspects within diploma thesis. Evaluation focuses on market position and performance within specific economic activities according to NACE rev.2 – 382, at first. Second evaluation is focused on competitive benchmarking that should pin-point particular weaknesses. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to propose solutions to improve company performance and market position.

Assessment of the Financial Situation of a Company Using Time Series

In this work, the application of statistical methods used for the evaluation of the economic indicators of Matrix, as, and on the basis of suggestions made to improve the financial situation. The theoretical part describes the issue of time series and selected economic indicators. In the practical part are then analyzed provided the financial statements of the company and then using a time series regression analysis predicted the future development of the company. The company is in very good financial shape but should focus on liquidity and profitability, which do not show the recommended values.

Measuring of Manufacturing Company's Competitiveness

This master’s thesis deals with measuring competitiveness of the company Formplast Purkert, s.r.o. in the period from 2008 to 2012 using selected methods of financial analysis. The obtained results of the key indicators are compared with the results of two competitive companies and with average values of the sector. Recommendations, which will be proposed based on the obtained results, should lead to improvement of the company’s financial situation and increase its competitiveness.

This master’s thesis deals with „Evaluation of financial situation of a company and proposals to its improvement. The first part consists a brief description of the company Teplárny Brno, a.s. and current evaluation of the company. The second part describes theoretical resources, which are further used in the third part of the analysis of financial company health according to specific indicators and methods of financial analysis in 2009-2013. The results of the financial analysis in the fourth part define appropriate proposals to improve the current economic situation.
