Supervision and Control System for a Hotel Implemented by IoT Means
Hockicko, Matej ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This work solves the design and prototype implementation of supervision and control system for a hotel implemented by IoT means. The solution is based on ESP microcontrollers, which control the connected sensors and actuators. ESP devices are futher grouped and connected to central point within range. Using this point, MQTT communication is futher transmitted to the cloud. The cloud runs the IoT Core service, which allows to control and store the status of devices. There is also a Node-RED developmnet tool, in which a graphical interface was created for this system. The result of this work allows remote monitoring and control of the hotel using sensors and actuators connected to this network.
Model-Based Design of Smart Home Control
Čada, Roman ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This work deals with model-based design of Smart Home control and implementation of this system. The goal is to create a model that serves as a design and according to this model implement the system. Model-based programming tools do this well. The work first describes the model-based design, the modeling languages that are used to create such a design and the technologies that are used in Smart Home. Based on this knowledge, the model is created as a design using the SysML modeling language and then this design is implemented using PowerDEVS and Node-RED.
Web Intercase for Building Control System with BACnet protocol
Kretek, Tomáš ; Friml, Dominik (referee) ; Václavek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis analyzes the basic features of the BACnet protocol, which is followed by visualization platforms and tools ThingsBoard, OpenHAB and Node-RED. The BAC0 library and the BOSS Simulator program are selected for the BACnet device simulation. The ThingsBoard platform is used to demonstrate the functionality with the BAC0 library, which allowed the design of a two-room model with heating and heat transfer through the walls. At the end of the work, the operation of the ThingsBoard platform on a Raspberry Pi computer is evaluated.
Smart Home: Digital Thermostatic Valve Controlled via WiFi
Smejkal, Jan ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with smart home heating in households with radiators. The goal is to design a cheap digital heating head and to integrate it via WiFi and MQTT into the Home Assistant system. I have focused on keeping good design, head functions and a good user experience. Home Assistant enables showing graphs using InfluxDB and Grafana. Using a program in tool Node-RED enables it to lower heating temperature at the times of user absence and to schedule heating temperatures. The price of the complete unit is under 400 CZK. Temperature regulation was provided by a prediction controller, but it was replaced by a PID controller. The controller can regulate with the difference of maximal and minimal temperature of around 2 C. The user can control the boost mode of the head via a physical button or using the Home Assistant system. The resulting product is a good basis for a low-cost smart heating system.
Model-Based Design and Deployment of a Smart Home Subsystem
Staněk, Tomáš ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discusses about the possibilities and methods of creating smart home, using commonly available elements fore each user. The bachelor´s thesis is focused primarily on the issues of home heating control, ventilation, lighting control, camera surveillance. For control individual elements is used Home assistant running on the Rasberry Pi.
Industrial field buses and communication
Košťál, Radovan ; Kroupa, Jiří (referee) ; Bražina, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of industrial fieldbuses and communication. The theoretical part describes the current state of implementation of industrial fieldbuses and the characteristics of individual communication protocols. Options for cybersecurity are also mentioned. The second, practical part, describes the establishment of communication between a simulated PLC in the TwinCAT 3 program and Node-RED environment using the MQTT protocol and Mosquitto broker.
Nástroj pro editaci a běh řídicích panelů pro IoT aplikace
Ryška, Andrej ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis analyses existing open source solutions for IoT devices with a focus on the presentation, processing and manipulation of data through the user interface of a web application. The goal of this thesis is to implement a custom solution based on the analysis, preferring simplicity, ease of configuration and user friendliness. The implemented application is to be compatible with Node-RED, Domoticz and Home Assistant via an MQTT broker, from which the application will draw data and manipulate the states of individual IoT devices
Automatical plant growing
Stupka, Tomáš ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Götthans, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design and an automated hydroponic station, which will be intended for the cultivation of herbs and vegetables for the purpose of user. The station will be controlled by a Raspberry Pi minicomputer, to which a number of sensors will be connected, which will check pH, EC, ambient temperature and other quantities. Furthermore, an external sensor with an ATMEGA328P control processor will be designed to check the ambient lighting parameters. A web interface will be created for the station, which will allow the user to follow the development of individual measured quantities over time.
Transformation of Control System Models among PowerDEVS, Node-RED, and 4diac
Sadílek, Tomáš ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is design and implementation of a transformation application from  flow-based development tool PowerDEVS to Node-RED and 4diac languages. This approach is based on the model continuity principle. The compiler is written as a terminal application using Python\,3 programming language. This application is tested on a model of the control system in the Smart Home area.
