Position tracking using GPS coordinates
Mishustina, Ekaterina ; Podivínský, Jakub (referee) ; Sadovský, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is devoted to determining the location using GPS. The GPS module receives the GPS signal and forwards it to the development board, where it is subsequently stored in a data structure and forwarded to the server. The server processes data about the location of the device and reflects it on the map it generates. To gain access to view the data, the user must pass authorization and correctly enter the name and password. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to electronic data transmission, data transmission standards and protocols, GPS and also describes the basic properties and functions of the hardware used for the design and implementation of the device.
Geocaching Support on Pocket PCs with GPS
Kuchta, Michal ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Novosad, Petr (advisor)
Modern technologies of pocket computers (personal digital asistents, PDA) and navigation systems - how to combine them to have a fun? This is the question, that this work tries to answer. In the first few chapters, the work informs reader about the GPS technology, about Geocaching stash hunting game and about technology of pocket computers. A Concept and implementation of WMGeo program, which could be the Geocaching solution for the PocketPC, is presented.
Navigation Focused on Geocaching
Nohejl, Petr ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Koutný, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with design and implementation of application for navigation focused on game Geocaching. Program works on Windows Mobile platform. It allows users to read the information about cache fast and easily and via GPS navigation takes player to the cache. The theoretical section introduces GPS navigation issue, rules of Geocaching and description of aplication itself. The aim of the practical section is to create a program and test it in real environment.
System for Automatic Object Tracking
Kerndl, Michal ; Macháň, Ladislav (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
There is suggestion of obtaining exact position in this work, based on GPS and GSM modules controlled by PIC microcontroller. Layout of this work is electronic schematic, PCB footprint and theoretical analysis of used modules. The practical part of work is also dealing with software for both microprocessor and web interface. The function prototype will be created and tested in next phases of this project.
Differential GPS
Madron, Tomáš ; Veselý, Miloš (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
This master’s thesis is the design of the system of the differential GPS, creation of the software for basic wireless communication between 2 GPS receivers, and practical tests of the designed system. Parameters and characteristics of system were determined and they should inform us better about the appropriateness of the designed system for navigation of a mobile robot in outside conditions.
Microcomputer in Ultramicro Aircraft/Helicopter
Široký, Adam ; Přibyl, Bronislav (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development of embedded system for ultra light airplanes and helicopters. The aim is to suggest, make and test the system with help of which it would be possible to take notes of a flight data set. The set is formed by GPS coordinates, altitude, speed and leans in both axes. The base of the system is created on microcontroller of the MSP430 family by Texas Instruments. A reader will be offered the used hardware, the system suggestion, its realization, the way of function verification and the possibility of using of the suggested system.
Position Tracking with GPS and PDA
Černohorský, Vilém ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This work presents steps in creation of remote position tracking application. Document introduces history of geographical positioning and navigation, and describes development of navigation from primitive utilities to complex radio navigation systems. Global Positioning System is described in more detail including NMEA protocol used by GPS receivers. This work also presents several current navigation applications. Based on obtained information work presents analysis, object-oriented design and implementation of remote position tracking system.
Sattelite Navigation and Compasss Data Fusion
Maceček, Ivo ; Kopečný, Lukáš (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
Theoretical information about different satellite navigation systems used for determination of position. Special attention is attended to system GPS. There are consulted main principles of the GPS and some error sources. Application of differential GPS for minimization of these errors is discussed. Next part is about examples of basic principles for measuring earth magnetic field. Last chaps are about practical realization of mentioned DGPS, which is applied for outdoor mobile robot navigation. There is described hardware structure, software utilities and application of an aided tool for GPS - electronic compass. Some practical measurements and results are presented.
GNSS for KAMBoat Floating Robot
Kuře, Václav ; Ligocki, Adam (referee) ; Kopečný, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis "The Global Satellite Navigation Module for Floating Robot KAMBoat" is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical part, the focus is on the theory that will be used for the practical part. The second part of the thesis is practical. Theoretical knowledge is applied here to design and navigation software. Part of the thesis is testing the navigation system under simulated conditions. Target of the thesis is to investigate the possibility of constructing a navigation module that would be able to generate navigation messages for the superior control system.
Computer Support in Mapping Survays
Hanák, Ondřej ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Hrubý, Martin (advisor)
The report deals with creating applications for Pocket PC, designed to aid with terrain mapping process. Topic falls within the field of geographic information systems (GIS), so the text begins with an analysis of related topics such as GIS itself, processed data characteristics or global positioning systems (GPS). Available handheld platforms are discussed and based on analysis of existing commercial application, the requirements on developed program are set. Description of application architecture and some implementation details follow. The conclusion is devoted to testing functionality by mapping the real geospatial object.
