Music therapy used in SENECURA retirement homes in Pilsen and in Vienna

The bachelor´s thesis deals with working with music in residential care homes for elderly. Music has a positive and healing effect on a human and can be used for all ages, including seniors. Working with music in residential care homes for elderly can have different forms. This bachelor's theses defines a music activity and music therapy and also defines differences between them, because even in the professional literature as well as in practice, the perception of both terms is ambiguous. The thesis also includes a description of two concrete examples of working with music. Based on predetermined criteria it is determined what kind of working with music it is and what positives it has brought.
Possibilities of using elements of music therapy methods in music education at the 2nd grade of elementary schools

The Bachelor's thesis deals with the elements of music therapy in music lessons in the second grade of primary school. Proposed activities are intended for use in music lessons. The main aim of the thesis is to create several activities with elements of music therapy, which could be fully used during music lessons in the second grade of primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the history of music therapy, current trends in music therapy, the definition of music therapy, and a view of music therapy in comparison with pedagogy, musical means of music therapy, and its forms, methods, and types. The practical part of the thesis presents the proposed activities, that could be implemented in music lessons. The Bachelor's thesis points out the possible inclusion of music therapeutic activities in the regular lessons of music teaching, which could be a means to improve the class atmosphere, students relaxed, and music education.
The meaning and utilising of music in leisure

The thesis deals with the importance of music in the leisure time of children and youths. The first part summarizes the historical development of music in its individual stages. The next part of the thesis also deals with the concept of leisure time, its definition and individual functions. As well as it mentions the lifestyle of a human that influences the way of spending leisure time. The next part of the thesis describes chosen possibilities of using music in leisure time. It focuses on musical activities which are also part of education and itemizes possible leisure activities in the field of music. The final part deals with an influence of the music on humans. Attention is paid mainly to listening and perception of music and also points out a positive effect of the music therapy.

Title: Application of the rhythmic auditory stimulation in training of paretic upper limb Abstract: My bachelor thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part and its topic is the use of rhythmic auditory stimulation in patients after a stroke. In the theoretical part in the first chapter I deal with the problems of stroke, its origin, manifestations, diagnostics, consequences and possibilities of rehabilitation treatment. In the next part I deal with the function of the hand and fine motor skills due to the focus of the practical part mainly on the paretic upper limb. In the music therapy chapter I characterize the general principles of this therapeutic field, I also deal with for example the effect of music on human body and the use of music therapy in health care. At the end of this chapter I describe the principles of neurological music therapy and the rhythmic auditory stimulation itself. The practical part presents three case reports of patients after a stroke with motor problems in the upper limb. Use of Recorder in Musicotherapy - Žilka's Method

This thesis deals with Žilka's method - the use of recorder in musicotherapy. It consists of the basic facts about the influence of sound and healthy breathing on human's mind and body. It describes life and activities of Czech flute player and music teacher Václav Žilka, who brought the recorder to light in the 2nd half of 20th century. Introductory part of the thesis focuses on historical background. The practical part mentions the Žilka's method that includes the analysis of flute practice book Veselé pískání - zdravé dýchání, practical comments, breath exercises and musico-educational projects for children. Music Therapy and Children with Autism Abstract The thesis entitled Music Therapy and Children with Autism deals with the characteristics of childhood autism and introduces music therapy as one of the possible forms of therapies, by means of which the development of children with autism can be positively influenced. The objective of the thesis is to record and organize theoretical knowledge regarding therapeutic effect of music on children with autism. The practical, empiric, part of the thesis aims to analyze the impact of music therapy on the development of pupils of special elementary schools, primarily in the area of communication. Three demonstrations of music therapy lessons applied within the process of the target group therapy are included as well as case studies of pupils with autism, individual therapy plans and their evaluation.
