Design of an application for the visualization of geographic data documenting the development of defunct landscapes
Nekola, Lukáš ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Laštovička, Josef (referee)
This thesis deals with the design and subsequent creation of a 3D map application for visualization of geographic data documenting the development of the landscape in the cadastral area of Holešice. The added value is the creation of different variants of spatial SQL queries for the representation of changes in elevation and land use in the form of polygons. In the first part, the available technologies for the creation of the application are properly described together with the basic algorithms enabling the creation of polygons. The practical part starts with the preparation of a dataset of points created by data fusion representing the height division, which was stored with other data in a spatial database. This is followed by the creation of the application itself based on the proposed client-server architecture. The principle is to store the output of one of the queries in the form of a materialized view. Map service based on the query is created in GeoServer technology and displayed in the CesiumJS library. The specific choice of the output and the selection of the query variant depends on the submission of the form by the user. Pospíšilová, Kristýna ; Barták, Miroslav (advisor) ; Mičíková, Lucia (referee)
Background: The use of alcohol beverages in adolescent group is a social problem. Teenagers are more likely to be exposed to alcohol as something worth experimenting on. They will neglect the side effects and warnings for alcohol in long term and that is potentially great issue. Also, in Czech society we mostly consider the not drinking of alcohol as antisocial behavior. The peer pressure of the teenager groups on not-drinking individuals to be not antisocial is even more urgent after use of alcohol with short-term effect as feeling fearless or boosted self-confidence. Aim: Describe and analyze the characteristics of alcohol use among adolescents at secondary and higher vocational schools in Most Region. Methods: Data were collected in the spring of 2022 by questionnaire inquiry. Population consisted of 697 students of secondary and higher vocational schools in Most Region. The sample was 680 respondents. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and the results displayed using tables and graphs. Results: 91.3 % of respondents tasted alcohol at some point in their lives. The average age of first experience with alcohol is 13.2 years. Image of Most Region's in Czech Narrative Fiction of the 20th. and 21. century
Krejčová, Kateřina ; Hnilica, Jiří (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the research of the image left by the city of Most, or more precisely the whole Most region in Czech prose from 1945 to the present, and does so by means of an interpretative analysis of nine selected works. In the thesis, fiction is approached as a primary source and thus, from the point of view of literary theory, the thesis ranks among context-oriented theories. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an analytical part; the theoretical part summarizes the history of the area and the city of Most (old and new), with the emphasis put on major events that could be considered turning points of the 20th and 21st century for the city and the region. It also describes the literature both of the Most region and about the Most region. The analytical part contains an interpretative analysis of nine works - by the authors Hořejš, Jedlička, Páral, Volák, Cach, Šerberová, Brycz, Čechura and Bendová - taking place in the city of Most and its surrounding. The analyses themselves are introduced by an explanation of the selection of these works, which was made in such a way that it was both representative and also outlined how the city and its surroundings were depicted in literature. The analyses are followed by a chapter that reveals what motifs-realities occurred across...
The impact of poverty and social exclusion on the education of the pupils at the second grade of basic school in the Most region
Pulgrová, Michaela ; Burešová, Karolína (advisor) ; Lorenzová, Jitka (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with poverty and social exclusion in the context of education, on both a theoretical and empirical level. The theoretical part provides a comprehensive picture of the phenomena of poverty, social exclusion and low-income families and then shows them towards education. The theoretical basis of the protection of families and children is also clarified in this part. The text focuses in detail on the specifics of the schooling of students from low-income families in Most, this focus is then extended by a qualitative data survey in the practical part. The research report provides interpretation of data from interviews with primary school pupils in Most, whose families meet the poverty risk attributes. The results of the practical part capture the student's perception of their educational careers. The results of research interviews are then confronted with the conclusions of the research reports mentioned in the theoretical part. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
The comparison of diversity on spontaneously re-vegetated and technically reclamed dumps from coal mining in the Most region
MÁLKOVÁ, Lucie
Sites left to spontaneous vegetation succession and those technically reclamed were studied and compared on dumps in the Most Region, NW Czech Republic. Data were sampled in summer 2008 and 2010. Species composition and species diversity were analyzed using phytosociological reléves arranged along 100m transects. Alfa- and beta-diversity were evaluated. There were significant differences between sites in alfadiversity. Beta-diversity was highest in the spontaneously re-vegetated sites. There were also differences in species composition among the studied sites. I consider using spontaneous succession as appropriate in restoration of land disturbed by brown coal mining. It is a good alternative to expensive technical reclamation.
