Pseudomonas aeruginosa jako původce močových infekcí
ŽÁČEK, Jakub
This bachelor thesis deals with the microbiological laboratory diagnosis of urinary bacterial infections, with an emphasis on the gram-negative bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This bacterium is known for its high resistance and is often found as a causative agent of urinary infections in immunocompromised patients. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis describes the structure of the urinary system, bacterial urinary infections as a whole, and the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa itself. The methodological part, conducted in the microbiology section of the SYNLAB České Budějovice laboratory, subsequently describes the procedures for processing urine samples for bacteriological examination, including sampling, transport, and sample reception, pre-cultivation screening, and cultivation methods. Furthermore, methods of identification based on the biochemical properties of bacteria and identification using MALDI-TOF are described. Also included in the methodological part is the determination of bacterial sensitivity to antimicrobial agents using the disc diffusion method. The results obtained from the laboratory information system for the periods of November and December 2023 and January 2024 are evaluated and compared with the results of other authors. This work serves to verify the methods used and emphasizes the use of modern methods in the diagnosis of bacterial urinary infections.

Institutional context of stalking and barriers to its resolution based on victims' experiences
Karmazínová, Hana ; Dvořáčková, Jana (advisor) ; Pavlík, Petr (referee)
EN The aim of this thesis is to explore the institutional context and barriers to individual and collective efforts to address the phenomenon of stalking (in Czech "dangerous prosecution") through Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Drawing on feminist perspective, this qualitative study explores the shared social context in which the unique experiences are set, the approach of the security forces and the reactions of those around the victims. The outcome of this work is the identification and overview of systematic gaps that allow the phenomenon of stalking (and possibly other forms of gender-based violence as well) to persist in our society in its current form and extent. These gaps are an obstacle to cases being reprorted and properly addressed within the existing legislative system.
The phenomenon of hybrid activities of state and non-state actors
Havlík, Martin ; Hynek, Nikola (advisor) ; Ludvík, Jan (referee)
The rigorous thesis deals with the issue of hybrid action of state and non-state actors using a wide range of tools of power to promote their own interests. The primary intention is to relate the content to the concept of security according to the Copenhagen school, which was one of the most important in the second half of the 20th century after the collapse of the bipolar world order to expand the dimensions of security. The definition of the main concepts of security is further extended by Clausewitz's concept of war and the American concept of Theory of Victory. The introductory theories are followed by an analysis of key theoretical apparatuses of important Western, Russian and Chinese security experts, which are then compared in relation to the essential factors of individual hybrid approaches. The work further describes in detail the significant categories of tools such as soft power, hard power, smart power and sharp power. An important part of the work is also the analysis of state, non-state and proxy-state actors, as the main carriers, users and representatives of hybrid action. In this context, the key determinant is the chosen reference object in the form of the Czech Republic. To complement the issue, the work also includes the related area of facing hybrid threats and hybrid action...
Power in the Helping Professions. Power in the Helping Professions with regard to the Specific Environment of a Czech Orphanage.
Balická, Kateřina ; Ulrichová, Monika (advisor) ; Hudcová, Eliška (referee)
1 Abstract The aim of the thesis 'Power in the Helping Professions' is to describe the specifics of power in the relationship between the helping party and the recipient of the help. The work presents possible theoretical concepts through which we are able to analyse power relationships within helping professions. Furthermore, the thesis highlights the theory of the dependency triangle. The theory can be used to better understand the relationships in which power is used to meet the needs of the 'more powerful' party in the relationship. In the second part of the thesis, the issue of power is embedded in the orphanage setting and, in the educator-child relationship in the orphanage. This part offers an application of the dependency triangle concept for the purpose of power positions and power relationships reflection among the helping professions.

I also focus on literature and feminism and the portrayal of femininity in literature. In the analytical part of my diploma thesis, I analyze characters chronologically using the original structure of the book. My interest in analysis is in the construction of gender, race and sexuality. I focus on how the author constructs sexual and gender identity in concrete historical as well as social context and how are relationships of the main heroine constructed in this context.
