The bachelor thesis deals with the inclu sive education of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities at secondary vocational schools. This work is divided into two parts - the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of the concept of intellectual disability, deals with the etiology and classification of intellectual disability, the characteristics of individual degrees of intellectual disability, the education of pupils with intellectual disabilities, and their integration or inclusion. It also describes what the personal educational plan is and looks into the activities of the assistant teacher and his role in helping pupils with intellectual disabilities. The practical part summarizes the results of the research on the issue of education of pupils with intellectual disabilities. The aim was to find out what kind of experience educators have educating pupils with intellectual disabilities, and if they see any advantages and disadvantages in integrating pupils with mild intellectual disabilities at secondary vocational schools. Respondents were teachers from various vocational schools mainly from the South Moravian and Vysočina Regions. Quantitative methodology was used for research. The aim was to describe the examined reality using subsequently processed data. Based on the data found, a set of measures (suggestions, recommendations) was subsequently drawn up on how to improve the inclusive education of pupils with intellectual disabilities.

An elementary school aged student with mild intellectual disability - a comparison of education in inclusive schools and those established according to paragraph 16

The bachelor's thesis is focused on an elementary school aged student with mild intellectual disabilities - a comparison of education in inclusive schools and those established according to paragraph 16 of the Schools Act. The aim of the research is to compare the education of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities at a primary school established under paragraph 16 section 9 of the Schools Act and at an inclusive primary school. The sub-objective is to establish whether there are differences between the two types of schools in terms of providing conditions for pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. The theoretical part contains four main chapters. The first chapter characterizes the period of an elementary school aged student. The following chapter focuses on intellectual disability, especially mild intellectual disability. The third chapter deals with the system of care and services for children with intellectual disabilities and their legal representative. The last chapter of the theoretical part is focused on the education of pupils with intellectual disabilities. This chapter mentions the education of pupils with intellectual disabilities before 1989, after 1989 and the current educational opportunities of these pupils, while the chapter also focuses on the current educational opportunities of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. A qualitative method was used for the research part, namely semi-structured interviews. The research showed that there are some differences between the two types of schools. Differences emerged in staffing conditions, the use of special education resources and the application of an individual approach to pupils. This bachelor's thesis contributes to the knowledge of the current situation in the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities.

Development of the reading literacy of children with mild mental disabilities

The theme of this diploma thesis is the development of literacy of pupils with mild intellectual disability. This thesis is divided into 5 parts. The key words such as literacy, reading literacy, pupil with a mild intellectual disability and schooling of pupils with mild intellectual disability, are described in the first four parts. Chapter number five is the empirical part of the thesis. The aim of this thesis is to find out the level of the reading literacy of pupils with mild intellectual disability at the school for mentally retarded children. A handbook supporting the development of the reading literacy for pupils with mild intellectual disability has been written based on this result. Methods of quantitative research have been used to obtain the final results. One of the research instruments was also a nonofficial test of reading literacy that has for its purpose to determine the level of the reading literacy of mildly mentally disabled pupils. Employment of Persons Suffering from Mild Intellectual Disability in Kladno region

The aim of this thesis is to analyse employment of people suffering from mild intellectual disability. The thesis briefly describes those learning difficulties and selects a mild intellectual disability from a wide range of other mental disabilities. The text is based on the fact that people with learning difficulties are able to work, live in a family and become members of the society as well as to be independent citizens. However, there is a necessity to help those people not only with regard to their educational process, but also on the labour market, which is apparently highly competitive even for people without any special needs. The thesis is also focused on various possibilities of people suffering from learning difficulties in the terms of enabling them to get a job. In accordance with the regulation on mild intellectual disability people, the thesis suggests many of suitable positions within service industry. Owing to the fact that people with this type of disease are under protection of the law, and that there are some incentives for employers, nowadays it is much easier to find them a job. Among other things, the thesis is also focused on economic, sociological and psychological aspects, so far as finding and keeping a job. Support measures in the process of inclusive education of pupils with mild intellectual disability

This bachelor thesis entitled Support measures in the process of inclusive education of pupils with mild intellectual disability deals with the use of support measures for pupils with mild intellectual disability in inclusive education. The aim of the thesis is to find out what form of support teachers provide in mainstream schools to pupils with mild intellectual disability beyond the support measures recommended by school counselling facilities, what support measures are most often recommended for pupils with mild intellectual disability by school counselling facilities and what form of support teachers use for the best possible integration of a pupil with a mild intellectual disability into the class group. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part explains the basic terms (mental disability, inclusive education and support measures). In the practical part of the thesis is used the method of qualitative research. The research was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with class teachers and teaching assistants at four primary schools. Moral Reasoning of People with Mild intellectual Disability

The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse the moral reasoning of people with mild intellectual disability, as well as to find out their understanding of more abstract terms of the moral domain, what the principle of their deciding is, and which values are important for them. In the first part, the thesis concentrates on the influence of the intellectual disability on the cognitive, emotional and personality aspects of the subjects. It also introduces several theories of the moral development, moral structure and values, and finally, the thesis presents the outcomes of the foreign research focused on the moral reasoning of people with intellectual disability. In six case studies in the empirical part, the thesis demonstrates the moral reasoning of people with mild intellectual disability, who have been respondents of exploratory interviews. In the concluding part, the thesis attempts to find some identical significant moments which might be characteristic of moral reasoning of people with mild intellectual disability, and put them into the context of other research and theories.
