Zinnatshina, Diana ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The task of the diploma thesis is the design of the sacral building of Salesians and community center in Brno – Líšeň. The founder of the Salesian order is the Italian priest John Bosco. The Salesian style stands on three pillars: reason, religion and kindness. It is a style of educational work, based on a preventive system and constant assistance. The Salesian congregation and subsequently the entire complex of the center in the urban district Brno-Líšeň received help from the foundation fund for youth, which he started in 1998 its construction. The proposed facility should cover the remaining needs of visitors and should be accessible to the general public. As a result, an architectural design was created, which includes an object of church with a parish section and a community center. The sacral object consists of a dominant glass cube standing on a one-storey long base and a community centre building with parish housing. At the centre of the composition is a parish garden with a steel bell tower. The whole complex consists of two masses connected by a steel colonnade. The first main mass includes a church with a back yard. The second mass of the complex is the community centre with the main coworking space and the parish priest's accommodation.

Bachelor thesis examines the creation of individual stages of project documentation to the study of the new building from subject AG035. The project deals with the new multifunctional house located in the district Lisen on the plot of land p. No. 4418/1 in the cadastral territory of Brno. The plat is situated on a sloping terrain. The project takes into account solving of surrounding areas as well, particularly in front of the area and connection to the public transport infrastructure. The mass of the object consists of four large blocks. Two of them are double-storey and two are single-storey. Blocks are interconnected by a glass tunnel, set on a symbolic pedestal. The pedestal is formed from two recessed floors of underground parking. The object is four-storey with two overground floors, which are mostly commercialized in the form of lettable spaces (e. g. for business, services, administration, etc.). Another part of the floors is used for technical and hygienic facilities. Two underground floors can be used by employees and visitors for car parking. Access to these floors is provided by a car lift, personal lifts and two stairs that connect all floors. The principle of the draft consists in the intention to place the mass of the building in the environment in the most sensitive way, so that the building doesn't act heavily, such as the surrounding settlement, but naturally follows the surrounding two-storey houses. That was achieved by the material solution of the above-ground floors. Five materials prevail in the exterior. Extensive vegetative roof, face concrete, two types of fitted facades (DuPontTM Corian® facade panels + glass panels with a sign symbolizing the crowns of trees and shrubs; other types of facade are vertical metal lamellae). Another predominant material is glass, which is used for the interconnection tunnel and the north and south facade.

Krčková, Zuzana ; Teplý, Vladimír (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
The theme of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a new polyfunctional building in the city district of Brno-Líšeň. The area is defined by Josefy Faimonové Street and surrounding buildings. There are primarily concrete blocks of flats located in the neighbourhood of the object. The principle of the design lies in including the object into its environment in the context of its closest surroundings. The building does not dominate the given area by its shape nor by the choice of materials. Its integration into the slope allows the building to adapt to the surrounding terrain. The object of the multifunctional house is divided into several functional units which are closely related and complete each other. There is a café, leaseable premises suitable mostly for commercial or administrative usage, doctors’ offices and an underground car park situated in the building. This car park would be able of covering the needs of the whole object. A semi-closed atrium is designed for relaxation and access and, together with the modification of the space in front of the building, it should contribute to creating public space used by the residents of the housing estate.
