Psychoactive plants in creative activities

The diploma thesis deals with the effect of psychoactive plants on creativity. A list of these plants was made with detailed descriptions of their properties, uses and effects on the organism. The list was compiled from literature, online sources and media. Subsequently, a questionnaire was developed to analyze user experiences with the selected psychoactive plants, which was part of the practical part of the thesis. Drawing and painting were the most common creative activities performed. Teachers emerged as the second most frequent group of respondents due to the questionnaire's focus on art schools. An important finding from the questionnaire survey is that although the link between creativity and art making was not confirmed as strong, respondents still perceived psychoactive plants positively. These plants may have unconsciously influenced the respondents' thinking, which may be related to possible flashbacks (experiences or symptoms associated with the use of psycho-active substances that return without actual substance use). Another reason may have been the use of the plant prior to creation, which led to arousal and increased motivation for creative activity. The survey also revealed how respondents view the future of plants. Among the most common responses were medicinal purposes, where these plants may be explored for their potential in treating various psychological disorders, as well as for relaxation, improving mental health, enhancing concentration and relaxation. Today's studies suggest that psychoactive plants have the potential to help treat certain ailments under controlled conditions and at low doses. This work provides a basis for further research, and information gathered from the questionnaire survey can further explore the relationship between these plants and the creative process

Scientific discoveries inspired by psychoactive plants

This thesis deals with psychoactive plants with substances that have been used to increase creativity, openness and insight in the thinking of scientists. The aim of the work is to describe psychoactive plants and substances that were used by scientists during scientific discoveries and to bring these specific discoveries and scientists closer. The search and research method (questionnaire) was used for the solution. A total of 301 respondents filled out the questionnaire voluntarily. Through research, I discovered that the most used psychedelic substances in scientific discoveries were LSD, DMT, and mescaline. These substances are obtained from the following psychoactive plants: Purple sedum (Claviceps purpurea), Reed sedge (Phalaris arundinacea), Mimosia hostilis, Williams's hawthorn (Lopophora williamsii) or San Pedro (Trichocereus pachanoi). This result was also confirmed by the analysis of the results from the questionnaire. The result of this work is that these psychoactive species and substances show great potential for application in various fields, including in scientific research. So they certainly have an effect on creativity, insight and overall mental state. For this reason, further research and more legal benevolence with which subsequent research is associated would be good.

The Diploma thesis is dealing with creativity, innovation and organizational culture. In the theoretical part are defined relationships between these aspects. In the practical part, based on a questionnaire survey, personal observation and interviews with employees of IBM Delivery Center Brno Central Europe an evaluation of organizational culture is created. And based on the identified deficiencies, the proposals leading to increased creativity of individuals and teams in the company, increased employee‘s motivation and improved overall organizational culture of the company, are made.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate premises of creativity development of current sales representatives Nilfisk-Advance, Ltd and on the basis of this knowledge to recommend certain methods to improve the performance of individual sales representatives. To meet this goal, the theoretical part describes relevant findings for examining the premises of current employees on the basis of literature and analytical part on the theoretical background maps actual performance and premises of creativity of existing sales force analyzed company. Outcome of the diploma thesis is the formulation of relevant recommendations for the development of the employees and company.

Innovation is one of the most important elements concerning higher performance in company efficiency. This methodical definition takes a look at the main benefits of on innovation on efficiency and hence on the efficiency and performance on the company as a whole, presenting the possibility of measurement of innovation efficiency and establishing defined methods for its improvement exploiting the development of innovation potential This particular issue is topical not only by reason of competitiveness of our companies but also maintaining share market and surviving the current economic crisis. Well managed and successfully introduced innovation into the market represents the tool for the companies, by means of which they can reach competitive advantages, enabling their prosperity in this slump. Every company has a certain innovation potential which should be explored, supported, utilized and systematically developed. The doctoral thesis focuses on the achievement of two basic goals, the cognitional and the inventive goal as well as confirmation or disconfirmation of set hypothesis. The first cognitional goal analyzes the present situation of solved questions, where current opinions and theories of our local and foreign experts are presented concerning innovation and company development. Basic definitions dealing with solved problems are described here as well. Various factors of innovation performance development are being carried out with the help of secondary and finally also primary research in Czech companies. The second related inventive goal is focused on design of methodical approach of increasing innovation performance that can be used in Czech companies. Contributions of the academic dissertation for theory and its contribution for corporation development and managerial practice are emphasized in the end part thesis.

This thesis called "Management of Personal Development" is focused on analysis of the personal development management at one unnamed Moravian manufacturing and trade company focused on creative tasks. The theoretical background deals with defining the elementary terms in this area, lifestyle, career management, mental hygiene, successful manager principles, time management, introspection, and problem solving. In the area of creativity, it approaches the topic in itself, its development, creative abilities and attitudes, and shows a connection between creativity and personal development. It also includes several alternative methods of personal development. The practical part deals with the present state of personal development management and creativity in the company, and on the influence of these factors on the company's operation. This thesis also includes several specific solutions which show several ways of company development.
