The Diploma thesis deals with the analysis of Human Resources Department processes with a view to increasing its importance and effectiveness. In the theoretical part the point at issue is outlined as seen both from the point of view of experts from real business and quoted literature. The practical part focuses on the study of personnel managers´ activities and HR department processes. In the final analysis based on the research having been carried out some recommendations are suggested for the company.
Changing role of HR in an international organization

This Master's Thesis deals with a topic of a changing role of HR department in the international organization ABC. The main goal of the thesis was to optimize operations of a local HR organization in relation to its future development. Based on research of specialized literature, the theoretical part provides with a comprehensive overview of what HR system is and describes the role of HR department in an organization with a focus on Ulrich's three-legged model, HR business partner role and HR competencies. A SWOT analysis of Prague HR organization was created based on analysis of process guidelines, systems, semi-structured interviews with representatives of HR teams, questionnaires and observations. Its results led to a proposal of an optimal solution on both internal (within the local HR department) and external (to its internal customers) levels.
Specific attributes of Human resource management in Non-profit organizations

There is a common idea that human resource management in non-profit corporations is very different from human resource management in for-profit corporations. From one side, there are a lot of differences in recruiting people or strategic management. From other side, there are enough similarities in both types of organization. To understand, how to set Human Resource Management in non-profit organization, the basic differences between these two types have to be understood. It means not only understanding in the Human resource level, but in general economical level. Any activity in the economy has to be set as an answer to the needs. After analysis of the main differences between both types of organization, it is much easier to find a need for particular policy of HRM in non-profit. To paint the whole picture of the problem, I will give a quick definition of Non-profit sector in general, after we will pay particular attention to HRM policies in non-profit sector and the goal of the last chapter is to show the main differences between non-profit and for-profit HRM. The question to answer is which of factors has a bigger significance in this topic. Psychological Aspects of Entrance Procedure

On the basis of statements of selected personnels the identified options are compared with practice. The thesis is divided into two parts. The process of an entrance procedure, creating the first impression and non-verbal communication are described in the theoretical part. The summary of theoretical knowledge is at the end of this section. In the practical part the theoretical knowledge is applied to the selected personnel clerks in personnel department. The questionnaires are personnel professionals who deal with recruitment.
