Prediction of sports results using neural networks
Šipoš, Daniel ; Kuboň, David (advisor) ; Vidová Hladká, Barbora (referee)
This thesis focuses on creating models of two different types of neural network used for predicting results of selected football and tennis matches and comparing these two models in terms of their accuracy and potential profit, if we had bet on those games in an average betting agency. Compared types of neural networks are feed-forward and recurrent neural network. Predicted football matches consist of league matches of three European leagues. Specific feature of this thesis is tracking accuracy in predicting matches, where neither team is a clear favorite to win according to the bookmakers. 1
Soccer Team Information System
Vaško, Michal ; Musil, Martin (referee) ; Nosko, Svetozár (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to create information system. Thesis is focused on users and their interaction with system. Manager of the team has rights to create injury, fine or trainings. Players are allowerd to join the trainings. System contains detail statistics about players and information about team positions in the league table. After match you are allowed to check team squad and the player's statistics from the match. PHP framework version 5.7 and MySQL database were used for the development of the system.
Ball Tracking in Sports Video
Motlík, Matúš ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Bartl, Vojtěch (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with automatic detection and tracking of a soccer ball in sports videos. Based on the introduced techniques focusing on tracking of small objects in high-resolution videos, effective convolutional neural networks are designed and used by a modified version of tracking algorithm SORT for automatic object detection. A set of experiments with the processing of images in different resolutions and with various frequencies of detection extraction is carried out in order to examine the trade-off between processing speed and tracking accuracy. The obtained results of experiments are presented and used to form proposals for future work, which could lead to improvements in tracking accuracy while maintaining reasonable processing speed.
Sports and Leisure Centre Brno
Winkler, Marek ; Vostrejž, Dušan (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
The topic of my work was to revitalize, recreate and redefine the recreational and sports area Za Lužánkami. Despite its gradual ruining and poor technical conditions it still has something to offer. Indications of this are constant efforts to refresh sport activities and ambitions to bring to this place its lost glory. The main goal of this proposal was to focus on creating a football stadium, support and highlight its dominance and majesty. Stadium was dimensioned on real usefulness with capacity more than 20 000 spectators. The main element of the stadium is its placing in a rising surface and to create a construction which will be a pleasant attraction with its exterior raising pillars and roof construction from all cardinal points. Football stadium fulfills functions of a modern stadium in all required factors and its placing and connection and fulfills sports hall compliance and recreational area for all visitors and householders.
Cheating Behavior in Football
Selep, Ján ; Bauer, Michal (advisor) ; Turnovec, František (referee)
In this thesis I provide statistical evidence documenting rigging of football matches in German long-term championship Bundesliga. For the purpose I use 8326 matches played in top three German long-term competitions through years 1995 -- 2012. The championship is based on a point collection in a standings table divided by strict success margins, e.g. title or relegation. The margins lead to a non-linear incentive structure in which one point is worth more for teams close to the margin. Uncertainty about the final outcome, however, postpones the equilibrating effect to the last rounds of a season. I find evidence of increased point earnings as a reaction on relegation margin closeness at the end of a season. Increased effort of the marginal teams cannot explain the findings as players exert no better performance in the incentive situation. In the same time, their opponents with long margin distance decrease their performance. In addition to that I provide evidence on cheating cooperation proxied by variance of players' performance. The variance does not react on the incentive situation suggesting that teammates behave unitedly. Performance of referees seems to exert stable performance with no reaction on teams' incentives. Overall, the results show strong evidence of systemic point trading in German Bundesliga.

Lajčin, Milan ; Čáslavová, Eva (advisor) ; Šíma, Jan (referee)
Title: Objectives: Methods: Results: Keywords: Achievements offer for partners of selected Czech and Slovak football clubs of Synot liga and Fortuna liga during economic crisis The aim of this thesis is on the basis of analysis of the football marketing environment in Czech republic and in Slovakia and on the basis of analysis of the current offers for partners of Czech and Slovak football clubs to identify weaknesses and shortcomings in sponsorship relations. Results of analytical part will be used to create proposal implementation of sponsor activities of football clubs of Synot liga and Fortuna liga, including utilize of opportunities, that the current situation of economic crisis offers, due to differences of the Czech republic and Slovakia. In qualitative research of thesis I used descriptive case study, interview, observation, SWOT analysis, document analysis and comparative analysis. I applied these methods in the analysis of various football clubs, while I also used SWOT analysis in the processing of proposals. I used comparative analysis to compare marketing environment in selected football clubs. The data obtained from research helped me identify aspects of the marketing environment, in which individual football clubs have shortcomings. In addition to the specific proposals of cooperation...
Strength as a determinant of kick speed of young soccer players.
Ižovská, Jana ; Malý, Tomáš (advisor) ; Zahálka, František (referee)
Title: Strength as a determinant of kick speed of young soccer players. Objectives: Identify the relationship of strength of extensors and flexors of knee and the kick speed and accuracy of young soccer players. Methods: The study group consists of 20 players in the age between 20-25 years (22,45±1,12 years) league level engaged in the provision of an elite soccer club. The players passed the tests of strength abilities week before field testing of kick speed and accuracy. Strength extensors and flexors of knee were measured in laboratory conditions at three different stages of the angular velocity of the dominant and nondominant lower leg. After week the players completed three shots on goal by preferred and non-preferred leg, where we measured the speed and accuracy of kick. Results: The results of work submit information about relationship between the strength of extensors and flexors of knee and the kick speed and accuracy depending on the degree of angular velocity. It has been found moderate - strong correlation between conditionings depending on the different degrees of angular speed of the movement. Keywords: accuracy, kick, skill, soccer, speed, strength
The impact of fatigue on the kick accuracy of young soccer players
Ižovská, Jana ; Malý, Tomáš (advisor) ; Zahálka, František (referee)
Title: The impact of fatigue on the kick accuracy of young soccer players Objectives: Identify the relationship of fatigue and the kick accuracy of young soccer players. Methods: The study group consists of 20 players in the age between 17 and 22, who are actually operating on league level in the reserve of elite soccer club. Before loading, the players had 3 attempts of shooting into the middle of the goal by dominant and non-dominant leg. After loading, they had 3 attempts of shooting into the middle of the goal too, but only by dominant leg. We measured the speed and the accuracy of kicks before loading and after the maximum load. Results: The results of work give information about the impact of fatigue on the kick speed and accuracy of young soccer players. It has been found that after the impact of loading the soccer players had worse results in the studied parameters. Keywords: fatigue, kick, loading, skill, soccer
Training of begining football players from 4 to 6 years old
Ondrušová, Lucia ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Přibyl, Ivan (referee)
Bachelor thesis has to inform about changes in level of selected motor skills and abilities during six weeks mesocycle, which is contained of the experimental elements of the initiative and performance improvements, depending on age. At the beginning mesocycle pre-school children were subjected to testing input and output at the end of testing, which consisted of four motor tests carried out in the open. Children were divided into two groups according to age. The first group of 3-5 years and a second group of 5-7 years.
