Delivery term and its influence on price determination

This bachelor's thesis is concerned with delivery terms in the international sales contract. This work evaluates the development of INCOTERMS, rules for the use of domestic and international trade terms, and presents the latest version of 2010. The practical part introduces the firm Chirastar KDT, s.r.o. and its export and import operations with the focus on the applied delivery term. The last part demonstrates how costs are allocated between buyer and seller in dependence of a particular delivery term.

This bachelor thesis deals with the delivery terms and its meaning and aplication in the purchase agreement. The first part is theoretical. It provides an interpretation of the theory of international purchase agreement and the function and use of the Incoterms rules. It describes in detail the different rules and the comparison of the latest edition of International Commercial Terms 2010 with the previous version. The second part analyzes the practical use of different delivery terms in the business contract of specific company.

This bachelor thesis explains the terms of delivery in international sales agreement, concretely with the rules from Incoterms 2010. The thesis contains definitions of delivery terms and often made mistakes connected with them. It is focused on the last publication of the delivery terms, called Incoterms 2010. Furthermore the thesis specifies the position of the delivery terms in the international sales agreement and defines the international sales agreement and its parts.The practical part shows the use of the delivery terms on concrete supplier and customer flows in the company Lear Corporation Czech Republic s.r.o.

In this bachelor thesis is presented delivery condition and its impact on price assessment. This topic is backed up theory of international purchase agreement a delivery condition in general. Further is the content of final thesis devoted to characteristic of latest edition of International Commercial Terms 2010 and its comparison with previous version. The last part is focused on practical application of several delivery conditions in business contracts of concrete company. There was realized an analysis of purchase agreement and price calculation and its impact on price assessment were ilustrated as well.

Payment and delivery conditions in international sales contract

The first chapter of the thesis generally deals with international sales contract (legal regulations, concluding contracts, substantial and unsubstantial terms, execution of contract). The second chapter defines the main payment conditions and two types of risk (credit risk and exchange rate risk). The third chapter focuses on delivery conditions, especially on brand new edition of ICC trade terms INCOTERMS. This chapter mentions also questions of insurance. The final chapter analyses three international sales contracts and their terms. The analysis focuses on payment and delivery conditions, the two important terms with impact on price and the whole transaction.

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na dodací podmínky, zejména potom na jejich význam v mezinárodním obchodu a vliv na stanovení ceny. Zabývá se stručným rozkladem kupní smlouvy, Mezinárodní obchodní komorou a v neposlední řadě také rozborem Incoterms v nejnovějším znění se zdůrazněním na změny, ke kterým oproti předchozímu vydání došlo, a nejčastější problémy, se kterými se v praxi lze setkat.
