Divisions within the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party in the period after 1945
JASZ, Adam
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to describe and analyze the activities of the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party in the Czechoslovak politic area after the end of World War II. Special emphasis is placed on the interpretation of various internal party disputes and conflicts. The disability of the National Socialists to avoid all these conflicts in the given period ultimately led to a weakening of their positions on the national political scene. However, there is also available another information in the text such as fine-focused description of the organization and function of the party, including the introduction of its leading representatives. The National Socialists were the biggest competitors and opponents of the Czechoslovak communists between 1945 and 1948. For this reason, the text of the thesis also deals with the political struggle between the two parties, which culminated in dramatic events in February 1948.
Campaign of the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party in the 1946 Elections
Šimek, David ; Shavit, Anna (advisor) ; Konrádová, Marcela (referee)
The bachelor thesis aims to present the campaign of the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party (CNSP) in the 1946 Elections, to which it also provides relevant theoretical and historical context. The post-war period in Czechoslovakia (1945-1948) is most often examined from the point of view of the Czechoslovak Communist Party and its gradual takeover of power in the state, culminating in February 1948. Other political parties of this period thus often find themselves overshadowed, despite their important role in the afterwar renewal of political and social life. This work therefore hopes to enrich the discourse with the CNSP perspective. The first part deals with theoretical background of political communication (examining the term propaganda) and with development of party organization and election campaigning. Emphasis is placed on concepts that approach the issues from a wider historical perspective, thus allowing an analysis of models and patterns of political practice which are in today's world mostly obsolete. The second part describes the political and social context of the 1946 Elections. The third part is dedicated to the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party, its origins, history and leading candidates in the 1946 elections. Subsequently, the main aspects of the party's election campaign...
Provocative actions carried out as part of the action Skaut by the State Security (StB) against the illegal groups of the so called Third Resistance movement. Provocation as a system of StB operative work shown on the example of the group "Za svobodu" existing between the years 1984-1951
Svoboda, Petr
This study deals with the topic of provocative actions of the State Security forces against illegal groups of the so called third resistance movement in the intial stage of Czechoslovak communist regime. It describes two less known yet well-prepared and in their consequences successful provocative actions aimed at functionaries of the National Socialist Party. They are set into the context of an extremely precarious period of the cold war and unfavourable development in the home country, mainly due to gradually deepening economic, social and eventually political crisis heightened by stronger reprisals and political processes. The main topic is the establishing of an illegal resistance group called "Za svobodu" ("For freedom"), its activities in the years of 1948-1951 and its infiltration and gradual destruction by the security apparatus of the communist regime. The existence of this group proves one fact so far ommited in specialized literature, that after the Czechoslovak coup d'état in 1948 there were also active members of defence forces who joined the anti-communist resistance movement. The State Security (StB) included the resistance group "Za svobodu" into its plan "akce Skaut" ("operation Scout") which is considered to be the largest provocation act of the State Security during its...

Struggle for Czechoslovak Social Democracy in the Second Half of 1947
Brož, Jan ; Kocian, Jiří (advisor) ; Tůma, Oldřich (referee)
This bachelor thesis is devoted to the Czechoslovak Social Democracy and its relations with the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party in the second half of 1947. The text mentions important changes in these relations which occurred in this very period and gives an account of tensions within the Social Democracy as well. The main issue which was discussed inside the Social Democratic Party was the question of cooperation between Social Democrats and Communists. These intraparty tensions distinctively showed up in two events. One was the pact of Communist and Social Democratic solidarity, which was signed in September during negotiations on the Millionaires' Tax, the other was the Brno congress of the Social Democratic Party in November, 1947. This thesis also informs about the Communists' view on intraparty feuding within the Social Democratic Party and tactics which they used in approach to the Czechoslovak Social Democracy. Finally, this text also notifies of the National Socialists' thoughts on cooperation with the Social Democracy.
