Mater incerta est or The right to know one's origin in the Czech legal system Abstract The thesis deals with the issue of the children's right to know their origins in the context of the Czech legal system, its compliance with the regulation of the children's right to know their origins under Article 7(1) of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the importance of the children's right to know their origins for the legal protection of the child. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the concept of the children's right to know their origins, to comprehensively analyse the applicable international, European and national legislation and to present the family law institutes most affected by the children's right to know their origins. In addition, this thesis also critically assesses the Czech Republic's reservation to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which significantly affects the children's right to know their origins, and provides de lege ferenda considerations in the area of the children's right to know their origins. Juridical Consciousness of Roma Children

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the legal awareness of Romani children from Český Krumlov and České Budějovice. The theoretical part of the thesis deals more with the concept of child, from several perspectives, children's rights and also legal awareness. In several chapters, I focus on the Roma minority, its history, culture and the upbringing of the Roma child as such. Another important part of the theoretical part are Methods and Techniques of Social Work with the Roma Minority, Social and Legal Protection of Children and Projects Focused on Legal Awareness. The aim of the thesis was to find out the situation of legal awareness of Romani children in Český Krumlov and České Budějovice. The method used a quantitative research strategy using the technique of a partially standardized tool of G. Melton - a questionnaire to determine legal awareness. The questionnaire contains general questions, model situations and the rights and obligations of children and adults from the perspective of children. 93 respondents from Český Krumlov and České budějovice took part in the research. The results were processed in SPSS 16.0. programme. Research has found that legal awareness increases in children as they grow older. The results can serve as information material for the public, for organization working with the Roma minority, or social workers.
Prevention of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children as a Pedagogical Problem

The thesis analyses subject matter of commercial sexual exploitation of children and its prevention in school and families. Theoretical part focuses on explanation of terms. It also covers description of presence of the subject in the Czech Republic, legislation and its relationship to the prevention in school and family. Prevention programs are introduced in this thesis as well. The prevention subject has been surveyed through a questionnaire and outcomes were confronted with a hypothesis. At the end of the thesis is pronounced solution that might help pedagogues with subject prevention. 1 Right to education under European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and Czech Republic Abstract: This thesis deals with the issue of protection of the right to education. It focuses on the conception of the right to education defined by the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. It also compares the article concerning the right to education with other international documents concerning human rights protection such as Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and Convention on the Rights of the Child. It partly examines the definition of this right under the Czech law. The thesis especially pays attention to the case of the Grand Chamber D.H. and others versus Czech Republic, since it is the only decision of European Court of justice concerning right to education which found Czech Republic in breach of the Convention. The aim of this thesis was to find out what influence had this decision on the Czech Republic as well as other member states of the Council of Europe and whether It was succesfully implemented into the Czech legal system. Child marriage in the context of international rights of the child

The bachelor's thesis deals with the child marriages that occur mainly in the developing countries and their various causes and consequences. During such ceremonies is one or both of the betrothed is less than 18 years old. This work is divided into three chapters and its aim is to answer the question of whether or not children's weddings ultimately violate international standards to protect the rights of the child or not. The theoretical part provides the most important international declarations and conventions containing the rights of the child, published in the 20th century. The second chapter is devoted directly to discussing marriages of children; contained therein is their definition, and then further clarification of where they occur and what leads parents or guardians of children to marry them. The third chapter deals with the analysis of violations of international standards to protect the rights of the child, either directly or in connection with the impacts of weddings of teenagers on their lives.
